Objective To study the prognosis of hepatoblastoma (HB) in children. Methods Retrospective analysis on the clinical data and follow-up of children with HB admitted from September 2010 to February 2015 and sum up the clinical outcome and prognosis. Results Thirty-six children with HB (23 males and 13 females) were enrolled. The median age on diagnosiswas 20 months. Allthe36 patients received follow-up, the median follow-up time was 37 months (7~71 months).(1) Of the 36 patients, 8 died. The prognosis of patients with stageⅠorⅡwas signiflcantly better than those with stage Ⅲ or Ⅳ(P<0.05). The prognosis of patients with fetal type was signiflcantly better than those with other subtypes (P<0.05). (2) Serum AFP level of 35 newly diagnosed cases increased, AFP level of survivors returned to normal after treatment. Of the 8 died patients, 3 patients had AFP elevated when relapsed, 5 cases had a persistently high AFP level after adjuvant chemotherapy. The levels of LDH, CRP, and AST at diagnosis had signiflcant influence on the prognosis (P<0.05).Conclusions Serum AFP can be a monitoring indicator for recurrence and prognosis of hepatoblastoma. POG / CCG staging, pathology classiflcation are key points when assessing the prognosis of hepatoblastoma. The prognosis of patients with high levels of LDH, CRP, and AST might be worse.

Journal of Clinical Hepatology 2016;32(1):182-184
Endotoxin, which is also called lipopolysaccharide (LPS),is a unique element of Gram-negative bacteria.Liver is the main site for removing bacteria and endotoxin.Meanwhile,it is also the most vulnerable organ.Liver injury initially occurs in the hepatic sinu-soids.This article mainly introduces the impact of LPS on Kupffer cells, hepatic sinusoidal endothelial cells,oxidant/antioxidant balance in the hepatic sinusoids, and liver blood flow.It is believed that the function of hepatic sinusoids in LPS-induced liver injury should not be ig-nored,and the hepatic sinusoids would play an important role in the prevention and treatment of LPS-induced liver injury.

BACKGROUND:Structural and functional changes of endothelial cels are the common pathological basis of cardiovascular disease. Severe structural and functional damage of endothelial cels are found in patients with hypertension or coronary heart diseases.
OBJECTIVE:To explore a new treatment method for hypertension from the perspective of vascular endothelial progenitor cels.
METHODS: PubMed and Wanfang databases were retrieved using the keywords “hypertension, EPCs” and approximately relevant 200 English and 100 Chinese literatures were obtained. Forty-nine eligible literatures were screened finaly.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Endothelial progenitor cels have strong differentiation and proliferation capacities. This review may provide a new insight into potential sources of cels for diagnosis and treatment of hypertension.

OBJECTIVETo screen for CGG repeats in the FMR1 gene among patients with fragile X syndrome and carriers of pre-mutations.
METHODSPotential full and pre-mutations of the FMR1 gene were detected with a Tri-primer-florescence PCR-Sanger sequencing method. The results were validated with positive and negative controls.
RESULTSAll positive and negative controls were confirmed. A male patient was found to have > 200 CGG repeats (full mutation). For a pregnant women who was heterozygous for 35/115 CGG repeats, > 200 CGG repeats were also found with amniotic fluid sample from her fetus who was a male. The result was confirmed by following selective abortion with informed consent.
CONCLUSIONTri-primer-florescence PCR-Sanger sequencing is a simple, effective and reliable method for routine screening of patients/carriers with full/pre-mutations of the FMR1 gene in the population.

7.Regulation of IL-35, IL-39 and IL-27 in tumor microenvironment
Journal of International Oncology 2021;48(4):212-215
The interleukin family can directly or indirectly stimulates the proliferation, survival and diffusion of tumor cells, and further shapes the tumor microenvironment, thus affecting the tumor growth and transformation to a certain extent. Studies show that the new numbers of IL-12 family, IL-35, IL-39 and IL-27, play the relevant specific immune functions in a variety of tumors, which may be important target molecules for tumors research.

BACKGROUND:With the progress of minimally invasive procedures of the spine, endoscopic lumbar decompression has been widely used in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation. The indications of different endoscopic surgical approaches are different, and the decision of the specific operation plan needs to be combined with the actual situation and the choice of clinical surgeons. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the short-term effect in treatment of single-level lumbar disc herniation by percutaneous endoscopic visual trephine arthroplasty. METHODS:Ninety patients with single-level lumbar disc herniation admitted to Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University from January 2019 to December 2021 who met the inclusion criteria were included in this study.According to different approaches of percutaneous endoscopic visual trephine arthroplasty, they were divided into transforaminal approach group(control group,n=48 cases)and translaminar approach group(trial group,n=42 cases). The general information of patients in the two groups was recorded, including sex, age, disease course, body mass index, incision length, operation time, intraoperative fluoroscopy times, length of hospital stay, and amount of blood loss.Visual analog scale score of pain and Japanese Orthopaedic Association score at different follow-up stages were assessed. The modified MacNab standard was used to evaluate the clinical outcome at the last follow-up,and the postoperative complications and recurrence rate were measured. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1)The operation time and intraoperative fluoroscopy times of the trial group were less than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).However,there were no significant differences in intraoperative blood loss, incision length, and hospital stay between the two groups(P>0.05).(2)There was no significant difference in visual analog scale score of pain and Japanese Orthopaedic Association score between the two groups before surgery(P>0.05).However,visual analog scale of pain and Japanese Orthopaedic Association score were significantly improved 1 week,3,6,and 12 months after surgery(P<0.05).(3)At the last follow-up,the good and good rate of modified MacNab standard was 94%in the control group and 95%in the trial group.(4)In the control group, one patient still felt back and leg pain after surgery, underwent open surgery, and recovered well after surgery without obvious sequelae. There were no postoperative complications or recurrent cases in the trial group.(5)It is concluded that both percutaneous transforaminal approach and interlaminar approach have good short-term clinical efficacy and high patient satisfaction in the treatment of single-level lumbar disc herniation, but the time of the interlaminar approach is shorter and has less intraoperative fluoroscopy times.
