Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2010;33(12):26-28
Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of myocardial enzymes on the cardiac muscle injury for the children with acute mycoplasma pneumonia(MP).Method The levels of phosphocreatine kinase-MB(CK-MB),lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),aspartate aminotransferase(AST)in 48children with MP(MP group)were measured,48 normal children served as control group. Results The levels of AST,LDH,CK-MB were(37.18±6.15),(294.10±46.20),(84.50±13.70)U/L in acute stage in MP group, they were higher than those in control group[(25.14±10.50),(140.50±76.21),(19.50±4.10)U/L](P<0.01).All the values above was descended in recovery phase in MP group, but the values of CK-MB[(27.80±8.40)U/L]and LDH[(189.50±69.73)U/L]were still higher than those in control group(P<0.01 or<0.05).Conclusions Children with MP may combine myocardial injuries and CK-MB isa parameter to diagnose the damage.Protection therapy for cardiac muscle should be performed on the children with MP.
2.Progress on B7H1/PD-1 pathway in tumors
International Journal of Surgery 2010;37(3):187-190
B7H1 is a recently described B7 family member.Ligation of PD-1 receptors with B7hl on the surface of activated T cell inhibits T cell proliferation and cytokine production. B7H1 plays a negative regulatory role in peripheral tolerance, autoimmune diseases and chronic infections.B7H1 also has been found to be largely expressed on a broad range of cancers and is thought to contribute to immune evasion by cancers. Blockade of B7H1/PD-1 pathway may contribute to the treatment of autoimmune diseases and maligant tumors.
3.Progress on ADAM9 in tumors
International Journal of Surgery 2008;35(8):549-552
ADAM9, a member of ADAM family, plays an important role in development of many human diseases especially neoplasms as its metaUoproteinases activity and the ability of combining with integrins. This might help us find new therapeutic targetpoints and therefore offer new therapeutic approaches.
4.Application of systemic octreotide radioactive imaging in children with neuroblastoma:a report of 14 cases
Journal of Clinical Pediatrics 2013;(11):1050-1053
Objectives To evaluate the application of systemic octreotide radioactive imaging in diagnosis and follow-up for children with neruoblastoma (NB). Methods Clinical data of 14 children with NB applied systemic octreotide radioac-tive imaging from April 2006 to March 2011 were collected and analyzed. For the ifrst-visit patients, they were applied with systemic octreotide radioactive imaging at the ifrst follow-up appointment after routine treatment. And for recurrent or sus-pected recurrent cases, systemic octreotide radioactive imaging was applied before the treatment and after 2-3 weeks chemo-therapy. Results Nine of 14 patients were male and 5 were female with a median age of 4.8 years (1-10 years). According to In-ternational Neuroblastoma Staging System (INSS), 4 cases were categorized as stage 3 and 10 cases were categorized as stage 4. The uptake rate of systemic octreotide radioactive imaging in primary site or metastasis sites of 8 cases were higher than nor-mal site with positive rate of 57.14%(8/14). One case was conifrmed as false positive by treatment and imaging examination. Six cases were negative in primary site or metastasis sites with negative rate of 42.86%(6/14). One case was conifrmed as false negative via treatment and imaging examination. Therefore, the sensitivity of systemic octreotide radioactive imaging reached 85.71%(12/14). Conclusion Systemic octreotide radioactive imaging could be one of the effective methods for NB in diagno-sis, follow-up and evaluation of prognosis.
5.Experimental study on the mechanism of inducing apoptosis in human SPC-A1 cells by curcumin
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2003;0(08):-
AIM To investigate the mechanism of anti-tumor effects of curcumin on human SPC-A1 cells. METHODS Cell culture、fluorescence microscope、TUNEL method and irradiation immunity techniques were used. RESULTS ①By the action of curcumin, SPC-A1 cells grew against the wall and then peeled off gradually;fluorescence microscope showed the nucleus broke into pieces, and cell split into apoptosis bodies in different sizes; The TUNEL method further certified that apoptotic cells reached 42 67% at the concentration of 20 ?mol?L -1 curcumin at 24 h. ②The level of intracellular cAMP concentration in the SPC-A1 cells, treated with curcumin, was significantly higher than that of the control group. ③Treated with 20 ?mol?L -1 curcumin for 24 h, the expression of Caspase-8 mRNA of human SPC-A1 cells was up-regulated. CONCLUSION Curcumin can induce the apoptosis of SPC-A1 cells, and one of its molecular mechanism may be associated with the rising of the level of intracellular cAMP concentration, and up-regulating expression of Caspase-8.

0.05). However, the accuracy in placement pedicle screws and derotation rate of apical vertebrae were much higher in the individually treated group than those in the standard group (P=0.001,0.02).[Conclusion]The accuracy in placement pedicle screws and correction effects on transverse plane of patients with Lenke Ⅰ AIS can be improved significantly by individual selection of entrance point.

Objective To observe the ingrowth characteristics of the interface between hydroxyapatite coated intervertebral implants and vertebral cortex loaded with physiological compressive stress. Methods Twelve titanium alloy intervertebral implants special for macaque were prepared, 4 of which were coated with corundum (control group) and 8 of which were coated with hydroxyapatite (HA, observed group). One control and two observed implants were randomly inserted into the intervertebral spaces of L2,3, L3,4 and L4,5 in each of 4 healthy homogenous adult macaques (2 males and 2 females). Roentgenology was performed at 3, 6, 12, 24 and 40 weeks postoperatively. Histomorphometry as well as histology were also evaluated at 40 weeks postoperatively. Results All the animals recovered well from the operation. Three days after operation all the animals began to stand and walk with normal gait. Gross anatomy showed excellent healing in the annulus fibrous involved, and no implant loosening or migration was found. On 40 weeks postoperatively, the interface of the observed group were filled with calcified mature bone and partly-mineralized osteoid tissue, the content of calcified bone as well as the amount of osteoblasts and osteocytes were significantly higher in observed group, and the differences were of statistical significance (t=5.001, P=0.000 and t=16.983, P=0.000). A tight connection was observed between the vertebral bones and HA coating. The thickness of coating decreased form 130-150 ?m to 100-130 ?m. And no evident breakage or debris was found on the implant coating. Conclusion HA coating was stable in vivo and had favorable biocompatibility with vertebral bone. It was more effective than corundum coating in inducing intervertebral cortical bone ingrowth under physical compressive loading.

Chinese Journal of Orthopaedics 2001;0(08):-
Objective To introduce the use of artificial lumbar intervertebral disc replacement for the treatment of lumbar disc degenerative diseases and lumbar disc herniation accompanying evident disc space narrowing. Methods Thirty-one cases(37 discs) of artificial lumbar disc replacement were performed using SB Charite Ⅲ from April 1998 to April 2000. Among them, disc degenerative diseases were seen in 16 cases (18 discs), disc herniation accompanying evident disc space narrowing in 13 cases (17 discs), recurrent disc herniation in 2 cases. Results All the cases were followed up from 17 to 41 months(mean, 26 months) . The clinical outcomes were excellent in 23 cases, good in 6 cases, fair in 2 cases. The mobility of the operated level had 4.0? anterior flexion and 5. 1? posterior extension after operation and 9. 1? on total mobility. Meanwhile, the operated intervertebral space got an average of 4. 2 mm higher than that before the surgery. Because of technical problem, a slight displacement of the core occurred in one case without any clinical symptoms and signs. Conclusion Artificial disc replacement is a new operation for the treatment of lumbar disc degenerative diseases and disc herniation accompanying evident disc space narrowing.
