Objective To explore the relationship between left ventricular volume parameters and cardiac function in elderly patients with heart failure. Methods From January 1st, 2012 to December 31st, 2014,five hundred and twenty-eight heart failure elderly patients with coronary heart disease, hypertension, heart valve disease, dilated cardiomyopathy, and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in Kailuan General Hospital were collected in this study. The left ventricle diastolic end volume ( LVEDV ) , left ventricle end systolic volume ( LVESV) and left ventricular ejection fraction of the patients were measured. The concentrations of N type brain natriuretic peptide ( NT-proBNP ) and related biochemical indexes were detected. Results Among the 528 patients with cardiac insufficiency,367 were males and 161 were females. Among them, there were 199 cases of heart function I,163 cases of heart function II,99 cases of heart function III and 67 cases of heart function IV. Correlation analysis showed that the correlation coefficients of LVEDV, LVESV and age were 0. 431 ( P=0. 001) ,0. 472 ( P=0. 001 ) and 0. 243 ( P<0. 001 ) , respectively. Logistic regression analysis showed that LVEDV ( OR=2. 654, 95%CI 2. 124-3. 894, P=0. 004 ) , LVESV ( OR=2. 939, 95%CI 2. 539-3. 256, P=0. 001),LVESV),NT-proBNP (OR=2. 921,95%CI 2. 888-3. 562,P=0. 002) were risk factors for heart failure. Conclusion The correlation between LVESV and cardiac function in elderly patients with heart failure is better than that in LVEDV,and the correlation between the two and cardiac function is better than that of age.

Objective:
To analyze the influencing factors for the 20-69-year-old residents in Anhui Province with substandard physiques, so as to provide a basis for improving the physiques of population.
Methods :
The 2014 physical fitness survey data of residents aged 20-69 years in Anhui Province were collected, including demographic information, physical exercise status and physical indicators ( height, weight, vital capacity, blood pressure and so on ). The physiques of residents was rated according to the "National Fitness Standards" ( 2003 edition ) . The multivariate logistic regression model was used to analyze the influencing factors for substandard physiques in different age groups.
Results:
Among 39 803 residents recruited, 5 081 were rated as substandard physiques and the rate was 12.77%. The rates of substandard physiques in the residents aged 20-<40, 40-<60 and 60-69 years were 11.08%, 13.11% and 16.74%, respectively. The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that age, gender, household registration, education level, occupation and time spent each exercise were the influencing factors for substandard physiques among the residents aged 20-<40 years ( P<0.05 ); age, household registration, education level, occupation and physical exercise were the influencing factors for substandard physiques among the residents aged 40-<60 years ( P<0.05 ); age, gender, education level, occupation, physical exercise and time spent each exercise were the influencing factors for substandard physiques among the residents aged 60-69 years ( P<0.05 ).
Conclusions
The residents aged 20-69 years in Anhui Province have higher rate of substandard physiques in the 2014 survey. Age, education level, occupation and physical exercise may affect physical fitness and vary in different age groups, thus interventions should be carried out according to age.

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2019;31(7):661-665
Objective:
To demonstrate the effects of symbiotic bacteria from lettuce on inactivation of norovirus(NV).
Methods:
Symbiotic bacteria were isolated from the lettuces sampled from farmlands and supermarkets. NV mixed with symbiotic bacteria was set as the experimental group, without symbiotic bacteria as the control group. After the inactivation by high temperature, ultraviolet light(UV)and chlorine dioxide, the ratio of NV amount in the experimental group and the control group was calculated to evaluate the effects of symbiotic bacteria. The mechanism of symbiotic bacteria was revealed by detecting their effects on the protection of viral capsid protein from UV and on the adsorption of NV.
Results:
Eleven symbiotic bacteria were identified from lettuces, all of which were bacilli, mainly Pseudomonas. Ten symbiotic bacteria could improve the heat-resistant ability of NV,with Microbacterium oryzae,Cupriavidus taiwanensis(SC061204),Pseudomonas furukawaii,Enterobacter tabaci and Pseudomonas resinovorans(SC061211)more significant. Eleven symbiotic bacteria could improve anti-UV ability of NV,with Pseudomonas putida,Microbacterium oryzae and Enterobacter tabaci more significant. Only one strain of Pseudomonas putida could improve anti-chlorine dioxide ability of NV(Class I hazard). Pseudomonas putida,Microbacterium oryzae and Enterobacter tabaci could significantly reduce the damage of NV capsid protein. Nine symbiotic bacteria could promote NV adsorption into lettuces, with the promotion rates ranged from 1.04% to 46.73%;while Pseudomonas putida and Pseudomonas resinovorans(SC061211) could restrain NV absorption, with the promotion rates of -6.50% and -19.85%.
Conclusion
Symbiotic bacteria from lettuce may enhance the anti-inactivation of NV by protecting capsid protein and promoting adsorption of NV. It is recommended to control the presence of symbiotic bacteria in the process of inactivating NV.

Objective:To investigate the potential mechanism of microRNA (miRNA) in hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. Methods:The peripheral blood samples were collected from four chronic hepatitis B (CHB) patients who visited Mengchao Hepatobiliary Hospital of Fujian Medical University in 2017, and those were also collected from four healthy controls. Affymetrix GeneChip microRNA 4.0 was applied to detect the expressions of miRNA between CHB patients and healthy controls. The CHB relative differential expressions of miRNA were obtained. The functions of CHB relative miRNA were analyzed by the combination of bioinformatics tools and public database data. Results:A total of seven miRNA were differentially expressed in the peripheral blood of CHB patients. Among them, miRNA-122-5p (log 2 fold change (log 2FC)=7.78, P=0.007 3), let-7c-5p (log 2FC=3.52, P=0.019 6), miRNA-6794-5p (log 2FC=1.15, P=0.033 2), and miRNA-1226-5p (log 2FC=0.68, P=0.034 3) were up-regulated, while miRNA-619-5p (log 2FC=-1.83, P=0.002 6), miRNA-1273g-3p (log 2FC=-2.69, P=0.025 1), and miRNA-4440 (log 2FC=-3.99, P=0.047 8) were down-regulated. Further analysis showed that these miRNA could directly interact with HBV gene sequence and impact the replication of the virus. Among them, miRNA-122-5p, miRNA-6794-5p and miRNA-1226-5p could negatively regulate target genes expression to influence the formation of ficolin-1 rich granule, ficolin-1 rich granule lumen, podosome and membrane ruffle, which participated in the cell membrane movement and cell-matrix adhesion. Conclusion:MiRNA could impact the molecular movement in the cell membrane and facilitate HBV entry to liver cells, playing an important supporting role in HBV infection process.

Chinese Journal of Urology 2021;42(6):423-429
Objective:To detect the abnormalities within the functional connectivity (FC) of the prefrontal cortex (PFC) in patients with overactive bladder (OAB) and to explore its central pathogenesis. Methods:Seven OAB patients (OAB group, 6 females, mean age 47.6±16.0 years) and 13 healthy controls [HC] (HC group, 10 females, mean age 49.9±9.2 years) were prospectively enrolled from August to December 2020. All subjects underwent rs-fNIRS scanning synchronized with urodynamic monitoring, and two rs-fNIRS scans were performed when the bladder was empty and when the desire to void was strong/urodynamic monitoring indicated detrusor hyperactivity (DO). The Pearson's correlation coefficients (r value, i. e., FC value) between time series of the 22 channels were calculated, and a 22×22 FC matrix for each subject was obtained. A paired-sample t-test ( P<0.05, FDR corrected) was used to compare the difference in FC values between the HC group and the OAB group when the bladder was empty and the desire to void was strong. A two-sample t-test ( P<0.05, FDR corrected) was used to compare the group differences in FC values between OAB and HC groups. Results:In this study, 7 patients were included in the OAB group, including 1 male and 6 female. The mean age was (47.6±16.0) years old. In HC group, 13 healthy subjects were included, including 3 males and 10 females. The mean age was (49.9±9.2) years. There was no significant difference in baseline data between the two groups, including age, sex composition, years of education, handedness and urgency score at the second scan ( P>0.05). Residual urine volume in both groups was less than 10 ml. The OABSS score, 3-day urine diary parameters (frequency of urination/24 h, frequency of urinary incontinence/24 h, frequency of urgency/24 h) and maximum detrusor pressure during urine storage in OAB group were significantly higher than those in HC group, with statistical significance ( P<0.01). The average urination volume/time, bladder capacity at first sensation and maximum bladder capacity in OAB group were significantly lower than those in HC group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.01). In the process of bladder filling to strong desire to void, the detrusor pressure in HC group was stable without DO, and 6 cases in OAB group had DO. Compared to empty bladder state, healthy subjects with strong desire to void showed significantly increased FC within PFC in 5 Brodmann area (BA9, BA10, BA44, BA45, BA46)and 13 edges, such as the BA9(left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex [DLPFC]: ch 4, 5, 7 and right DLPFC: ch 3), BA10(left frontopolar area: ch 12, 21 and right frontopolar area: ch 10, 18), BA44(left pars opercularis Broca's area: ch 15), BA45(left pars triangularis: ch 22), BA46(left DLPFC: ch 6, 14); significantly decreased FC in 3 brain regions (BA9, BA10 and BA46) and 2 edges, such as the BA9(left DLPFC: ch 7), BA10(left frontopolar area: ch21 and right frontopolar area: ch 17), BA46(right DLPFC: ch 9). There was no significant difference in FC within PFC between OAB and HC groups with empty bladder. However, during the strong desire to void state, the FC within PFC in OAB patients was significantly abnormal when compared with HC. OAB patients showed significantly increased FC within PFC in 4 brain regions (BA9, BA10, BA45 and BA46) and 4 edges, such as the BA9(right DLPFC: ch 1 and left DLPFC: ch 7), BA10(right frontopolar area: ch 17), BA45(left pars triangularis: ch 22), BA46(right DLPFC: ch 9, 16); significantly decreased FC in 3 brain regions (BA9, BA10 and BA46) and 4 edges, such as the BA9 (right DLPFC: ch 3 and left DLPFC: ch 4), BA10(left frontopolar area: ch 12, 21), BA46(left DLPFC: ch 14) Conclusion:Compared with HC group, the PFC in OAB group showed significant abnormalities, which may lead to "dyssynergia" of PFC internal functions, result in frontal lobe dysfunction, involving sensory integration, motivation drive, emotional control and decision whether to urinate or not, etc., leading to urinary control dysfunction, which manifested as typical clinical symptoms of OAB. Our findings contribute to the understanding of the central pathogenesis of OAB and may provide a theoretical basis for the emergence of targeted brain therapy in the future.

Objective:Evaluate the influence of different pressure transmission media of urodynamic water filled catheter(WFC) and air charged catheter(ACC) on the pressure measurement results to determine whether they can be used interchangeably. Methods:The results of 2 147 patients who underwent urodynamic examination in our hospital from January 2014 to December 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. A total of 2 538 times of bladder manometry data were obtained, including 1 299 times in WFC group, 856 times in male and 443 times in female, aged 37(24, 50)years, course of disease 1.2(0.4, 5.0) years, 1 130 times in neurogenic bladder(NB)and 169 times in non-neurogenic bladder(N-NB); In ACC group, there were 1 239 times, 773 times for male and 466 times for female, with age of 37(24, 55)years, course of disease of 1.5(0.5, 6.0)years, 1 040 times for Nb and 199 times for N-NB. There was no significant difference in baseline data of general clinical data between the two groups. The intravesical pressure(Pves), intra-abdominal pressure(Pabd)and detrusor pressure(Pdet) of WFC and ACC patients during filling and urination were analyzed. For traumatic spinal cord injury(SCI) and idiopathic patients, the two sets of pressure measurement data were analyzed separately. Nonparametric test and Chi-square test were used to compare the Pves, Pabd, and Pdet recorded by the two manometry catheters before, at the end and after urination, the maximum detrusor pressure at DO(Pdet.max-DO), and the maximum detrusor pressure during spontaneous urination (Pdet. max) and the detrusor pressure (Pdet.Qmax) corresponding to the maximum urine flow rate, the maximum urethral pressure (MUP) and the maximum urethral closure pressure (MUCP) during resting urethral pressure profile, and the initial cough Pdet signal pattern (typeⅠ, typeⅡand typeⅢ).Results:Regardless of the cause, the Pabd values measured by ACC were significantly higher than WFC before filling, end filling and after voiding[18(10, 26)cmH 2O vs.15(11, 21)cmH 2O; 23(16, 31)cmH 2O vs. 20(14, 26)cmH 2O; 23(15, 31)cmH 2O vs.18(12, 24)cmH 2O], and Pdet were significantly lower than WFC[0(0, 0) cmH 2O vs. 0(0, 1)cmH 2O; 5(1, 13)cmH 2O vs. 9(4, 17)cmH 2O; 6(1, 12)cmH 2O vs. 7(3, 14)cmH 2O]. In the initial cough state, Pves and Pabd increase value were also significantly lower than that of WFC [22(12, 36)cmH 2O vs. 23(14, 38)cmH 2O; 20(10, 33)cmH 2O vs. 21(12, 36)cmH 2O]. The Pves measured by ACC was also significantly higher than WFC before filling and after voiding[18(10, 27)cmH 2O vs. 16(11, 21)cmH 2O; 30(22, 39)cmH 2O vs. 26(20, 36)cmH 2O]. Maximum urethral pressure (MUP) and maximum urethral closure pressure (MUCP) measured by ACC were significantly higher than WFC [91(69, 118)cmH 2O vs.81(64, 106)cmH 2O; 77(55, 103)cmH 2O vs. 68(48, 91)cmH 2O], and there were no significant differences in Pdet.max-DO、Pdet.max和Pdet.Qmax. For patients with traumatic SCI, the Pves measured by ACC was significantly higher than WFC before filling[15(10, 24)cmH 2O vs. 14(10, 20)cmH 2O], and only MUP was significantly higher than WFC in the measurement of urethral pressure[95(71, 119)cmH 2O vs. 85(65, 112)cmH 2O], and there were no significant differences in Pdet.max-DO, Pdet.max, Pdet.Qmax and MUCP. For idiopathic patients, Pves measured by ACC before filling and after urination were significantly higher than WFC[25(20, 29)cmH 2O vs. 18(11, 23)cmH 2O; 35(29, 44)cmH 2O vs. 28(20, 38)cmH 2O], while Pdet.max-DO, Pdet.max, Pdet.Q max, MUP and MUCP were not significantly different in different pressure measurement systems. For the comparison of the initial cough Pdet signal pattern, ACC is easier to detect type Ⅰ, and WFC is easier to detect type Ⅱ and type Ⅲ. Conclusions:Compared with WFC, ACC measured higher Pves and Pabd and lower Pdet in resting state, and lower Pves and Pabd in initial cough state. The pressure values and signal pattern measured by WFC and ACC are not completely consistent, so they cannot be used interchangeably.

Objective To investigate the association of energy metabolic markers with the risk of spontaneous bacterial peritonitis (SBP) in patients with decompensated hepatitis B virus-related liver cirrhosis (HBV-LC). Methods A retrospective analysis was performed for the clinical data of the patients with decompensated HBV-LC who were admitted to Mengchao Hepatobiliary Hospital of Fujian Medical University from November 2017 to November 2019, and baseline clinical parameters and energy metabolic markers were compared between the patients with SBP and those without SBP within 2 weeks after admission. A multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to investigate the risk factors for SBP. The t -test was used for comparison of normally distributed continuous data between two groups, and the Kruskal-Wallis H test was used for comparison of non-normally distributed continuous data between two groups; the Fisher's exact test was used for comparison of categorical data between two groups. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was plotted to evaluate the diagnostic efficiency of the newly established logistic regression model, and with the corresponding point of Youden index as the cut-off value, the DeLong test was used to compare the area under the ROC curve (AUC). Results A total of 50 patients with decompensated HBV-LC were included, among whom 23 (46%) developed SBP within 2 weeks after admission and 27 (54%) had no SBP during hospitalization. Compared with the non-SBP patients, the SBP patients had significantly lower triglyceride, prealbumin, and prothrombin time activity (PTA) and significantly higher international normalization ratio, C-reactive protein (CRP), and Model for End-Stage Liver Disease score (all P < 0.05). Comparison of baseline energy metabolic markers showed that compared with the non-SBP patients, the SBP patients had significantly lower respiratory quotient (RQ) [0.79(0.76-0.86) vs 0.85(0.79-0.91), P =0.041] and carbohydrate oxidation (CHO) rate [20.50%(15.25%-41.05%) vs 41.6%(22.25%-68.05%), P =0.041]. The multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that PTA was an independent risk factor for SBP in the patients with decompensated HBV-LC during hospitalization (odd ratio=0.004, P =0.008), and the regression model established based on the variables including PTA, CRP, RQ, and CHO had an AUC of 85.0% and a cut-off value of 0.60 at the maximum Youden index, with a specificity of 85.19% and a sensitivity of 73.91%, suggesting that this model had a better discriminatory ability than CRP (AUC=74.5%, P =0.049) and procalcitonin (AUC=56.4%, P < 0.01). Conclusion There are significant reductions in the energy metabolic markers RQ and CHO in the patients with decompensated HBV-LC who develop SBP within a short term, and their combination with PTA, CRP, and CHO/RQ ratio can help clinicians identify the patients at a high risk of SBP in the early stage and enhance nutrition support for such patients.
