Objective:To explore the effect of extracorporeal shock wave combined with meloxicam tablets on joint function and serum matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) and resistin levels in elderly patients with osteoarthritis.Methods:80 cases of elderly patients with osteoarthritis in Nanchong Central Hospital from May 2016 to March 2019 were selected as the research objects, and they were randomly divided into two groups, 40 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional oral medicine (meloxicam + potassium glucosamine sulfate tablets), and the observation group was given meloxicam tablets combined with extracorporeal shock wave therapy. The total effective rate, incidence of adverse reactions, and the scores of osteoarthritis symptoms (WOMCA), joint function (Lysholm), serum MMP-9 and resistin before and after 8 weeks' treatment were compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the WOMCA score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and Lysholm score was higher than that of the control group ( P<0.05); the total effective rate of the observation group (95.00%) was higher than of the control group (77.50%) ( P<0.05); the serum resistin and MMP-9 levels of the observation group were lower than those of the control group after treatment ( P<0.05); there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the observation group (15.00%) and the control group (17.50%) ( P>0.05). Conclusions:Extracorporeal shock wave combined with meloxicam tablets in the treatment of elderly patients with osteoarthritis can significantly improve the clinical symptoms, promote the recovery of joint function, reduce the levels of serum resistin and MMP-9, and further improve the treatment effect with high safety.

Objective To study the amount of rhizospheric microorganisms and soil enzyme activity influenced by Paridis Rhizoma in different locations and of different strains. Methods The amount of rhizospheric microorganisms, soil enzyme activity and their correlation were researched through field survey and collection of rhizospheric soil in Paridis Rhizoma cultivated in Three Gorges Reservoir Region and by microbial dilution plate culture method. Results The amount of rhizospheric microorganisms in Paridis Rhizoma from different habitats showed significant differences. The dominant species in soil microflora was bacteria; the second one was actinomycetes; the fewest one was fungus. The variation trend of the amount of rhizospheric microorganisms was not consistent with the variation trend of rhizospheric microorganisms diversity index. The activity of soil phosphatase, invertase and pepsin in Paridis Rhizoma from different habitats varied. The correlation analysis showed that the correlation between the soil enzyme activity and the amount of rhizospheric microorganisms existed. Conclusion Choosing the suitable strains and habitats of Paridis Rhizoma is beneficial to enhancing the amount of rhizospheric microorganisms and soil enzyme activity, which can create good micro-ecological environment for growth and cultivation of Paridis Rhizoma.

Objectives:To analyze the level and related factors of quality of life, caregiver burden in primary caregivers of adolescents with depression, and to explore the relationship between quality of life and caregiver burden. Methods: Totally 180 caregivers of adolescents with depression were investigated in the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University in Changsha, Hunan province. The Hamilton Depression Scale-17 (HAMD-17), Short Form 36 Health survey Questionnaire (SF-36) and Zarit Caregiver Burden Interview (ZBI) were used to assess depressive symptoms of patients, the quality of life and caregiver burden of primary caregivers of adolescents with depression. Results:The scores of SF-36 dimensions were lower in caregivers than in the national norm (P < 0.01). The average score of ZBI was (32 ± 15), while 73.7% caregiver's burden was in the low and moderate level. The SF-36 scores were lower in caregivers taking care of patients with longer course of disease and suicide history, with lower education level, with lower family income (P <0.05). The ZBI scores were higher in those taking care of the patients in hospital, with a long course of disease, with higher HAMD scores, and those with major events in the past 3 months, and being on-the-job, (P <0.05). The caregiver burden (personal burden and role burden) of caregivers was negatively related to the scores of quality of life (physical health and mental health) (r=-0.56——0.24, Ps <0.01). Conclusion: The quality of life of caregivers of adolescents with depression is severely impaired, and they have obvious caregiver burden. The caregivers with lower education level, lower family income, and being on-the-job, with major events in the past 3 months, and those taking care of patients with a long course of disease, suicide history, and higher HAMD score may have heavy burden and low quality of life. The caregiver burden of caregivers of adolescents with depression is negatively related to their quality of life.

OBJECTIVE To compare the effects of different drying processing methods in the producing area on the quality of Peucedanum praeruptorum, and screen the optimal drying processing in the producing area. METHODS P. praeruptorum was processed by traditional drying in the sun, drying in the shade, and modern drying processing methods such as electric heating and blast drying, vacuum drying, infrared drying, and vacuum freeze drying. Technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) method was used to perform the comprehensive quality evaluation using drying rate, water content, extract content, color chroma value, and the contents of 4 coumarins as indexes. RESULTS Under different drying processing methods, the drying rates of 12 samples of P. praeruptorum were 31.56%-40.10%; the moisture contents were 6.96%-8.58%, and the extract contents were 27.56%-43.10%; the color chroma values red green degree, yellow blue degree and brightness were 1.80-7.50, 19.90- 30.20, 46.90-59.90, respectively. The contents of umbelliferolactone, praeruptorin A, praeruptorin B and praeruptorin E were ≤ 0.05, 3.70-14.05, 0.72-2.37, 0.81-3.90 mg/g, respectively; and the total contents were 5.47-19.65 mg/g. The comprehensive score of P. praeruptorum was the highest under the condition of drying at 40 ℃ by electric heating and blast . CONCLUSIONS The drying method at 40 ℃ by electric heating and blast is the first choice for P. praeruptorum in the producing area.
