Objective To investigate the distribution of islet autoantibodies (GAD-Ab, IA2-Ab, IAA) in new-onset diabetic patients with unprovoked ketosis and their association with clinical characteristics and pancreatic ? cell function. Methods Islet autoantibodies, including GAD-Ab、IA2-Ab and IAA were detected in 161 new-onset diabetic patients with unprovoked ketosis by radioligand assay. Prevalence of positive islet autoantibodies was compared among groups with different ages, body mass indexes (BMI), severity of ketosis and fasting C peptide (FCP) levels. Clinical characteristics and pancreatic ? cell function were compared between groups with positive and negative islet autoantibodies. Results One or more kinds of islet autoantibodies were detected in 68 from the 161 subjects (42.2%), with higher prevalence of positive islet autoantibodies in the patients aged equal to or less than 20 years, of BMI equal to or less than 18.5 and with FCP equal to or less than 300 pmol/L. Younger age of onset, lower BMI, more severe ketosis and poorer islet endocrine function were found in patients with positive islet autoantibodies, as compared with those with negative ones. Conclusions In diabetic patients with unprovoked ketosis, the younger, the lower C peptide and the lower BMI they are, the higher prevalence of positive islet autoantibodies, the more possibility that they are classified as type 1A diabetes and the less possibility as type 1B diabetes or type 2 diabetes.Pancreatic ? cell function was poorer in patients with positive islet autoantibodies, which should be treated with insulin as earlier as possible.

Objective To explore an ideal surgical treatment for cervical sear eontraeture. Methods From January, 2005 to December, 2008, 11 eases of cervical sear contraeture (Ⅱ-Ⅲ) were treated with the expanded flaps based on the cervical cutaneous branch of transverse cervical artery. At the first step, one or two soft tissue expanders were implanted beneath the skin at the clavicular-pectoral region. At the second step, after fully expanding, an expanded clavicular-pectoral flap that based on the cervical cutaneous branch of transverse cervical artery was designed and raised completely according to cervical cutaneous defect. And then, the flap was transferred to reconstruct the defect in cervix. The donor area was closed directly or covered with graft. Results The 11 cases were performed with unilateral flaps based on the cervical cutaneous branch of transverse cervical artery. No necrosis occurred. And the cervical contour and function have been mended. All of them had been followed up for 6-18 months with satisfactory results. Conclusions This procedure can be very useful for the plastic and reconstruction surgeons who are confronted with a difficult case of cervical scar contracture. By this means, a lot of materials of reparation with similar color, and texture can be obtained. And this method is simple, safe, and effective.

Objective ToexploretheapplicationofVasoCT,astentimagingtechnique,instent-assisted coilaneurysmembolization. Methods Twentyconsecutivepatientswith23intracranialaneurysmswere treated with stent-assisted aneurysm embolization in the General Hospital of Armed Police Forces from December 2013 to November 2014 were enrolled. The patients performed VasoCT scan immediately after procedure. Then all the available images were used for stent-optimized reconstruction respectively. Under the XpertCT mode, the available images were observed with both volume imaging and maximum intensity projection. The available images were analyzed and they were divided into very clear, less clear, and not clearaccordingtothestentdevelopingclarity. Results Ofthe22aneurysmstreatedwithstent-assisted embolization,16 were occluded completely,6 were occluded partially. All the stents were expanded completely and were released to the expected locations;11 aneurysm stents developed clearly,9 developed less clearly, and 2didnotdevelopclearly.Conclusion VasoCTcanbeusedinthestent-assistedaneurysmembolization.It can clearly reveal the microscopic structure of the stents, location, relationship with the artery wall, and relationship between stents and coils. The clarity of stent development is associated with the diameters of the packed coils, and the stents are also affected by the metal artifacts projecting direction and the dense degree of the packing coils.

Objective To explore the influence factors of the metabolic syndrome in the continuous ambu-latory peritoneal peptide(CAPD)patients. Methods A total of 104 CAPD in the PD center of the First and the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from June 2014 to June 2016 were enrolled in this study. Patients were divided into the metabolic syndrome(MS)and the non-metabolic syndrome(non-MS)group. The clinical data of patients with MS and non-MS was compared, and the influence factors of the MS in PD patients were analyzed. Results Twelve patients were diagnosed as metabolic syndrome. Significant differences in age, urine volume, serum phosphorus(P)and uric acid(UA)were observed between group MS and non-MS(P<0.05). Twenty people were overweight, with the prevalence rate of 19.2%. Compared with the normal and overweight group, age, high density lipoprotein(HDL),P and serum iron were statistically significant(P < 0.05). Thirty-one people were diagnosed as dyslipidemia, with the prevalence rate of 29.8%. Compared with the normal group, albumin,UA,BMI and D/P were statistically significant in the dyslipidemia group(P < 0.05). Ten patients were diagnosed as hyperglycemia, with the prevalence rate of 9.6 %. Significant differences in hemoglobin and the dia-stolic blood pressure(DBP)were found between the hyperglycemia group and the normal group(P < 0.05). Age and P were shown as independent risk factors for PD patients with MS(P<0.05,respectively).Conclusion The peritoneal dialysis patients were more likely to have metabolic syndrome than the normal population.Age and serum phosphorus are the factors influencing the occurrence of MS in peritoneal dialysis patients.
