Microbiology 1992;0(04):-
A comparative study on the glycolic acid oxidase (GO) of the domestic Spirulina(Arthrospira) platensis (S_(1)) from alkaline lake in Erdos Plateau and the imported S. (A.) platensis (S_(2)) and S. (A.) maxima (S_(3)) as well is made with colorimetric method. The results show that activity of GO (25℃, pH 8.0) of S_(1), S_(2 )and S_(3) is 70.9 U/gFW, 59.6 U/gFW and 80.9 U/gFW respectively; the GO's optimum temperature of S_(1)、S_(2) and S_(3 )is 30℃; the GO's optimum pH value of S_(1 )is 8.6,while that of S_(2 ) 8.2 and that of S_(3) 8.4; the GO of S_(1 )is stable from 0℃ to 35℃ and from pH 7.6 to pH 10.0, while that of S_(2) from 0℃ to 30℃ and from pH 8.0 to pH 9.0 and that of S_(3) from 0℃ to 35℃ and from pH 8.0 to pH 8.6. Adaptive range of S_(1) GO for temperature and pH is wider, and activity at low and high temperature and under strong acidand alkali conditions is higher than that of the imported species.

Microbiology 1992;0(04):-
The vip3A gene of Bt9816C was cloned and the sequencing result was submitted to GenBank (accession no.AY945939). The gene was identified as a novel vip3Aa gene, which was assigned name vip3Aa18 by the Bacillus thuringiensis delta-endotoxin nomenclature committee. Subsequently, vip3Aa18 was expressed in Escherichia coli BL21 and bioassay demonstrated that the purified recombinant Vip3Aa18 had high toxicity against Helicoverpa armigera and Spodoptera exigua. The results of sequence analysis revealed that a carbohydrate binding domain exists on the C-termini 536 to 667 residues of Vip3Aa18,which maybe participate in binding to midgut receptors in susceptible insects. Moreover, a transmembrane helices located on N-termini 272 to 292 residues was proposed responding for pore formation. Furthermore, a putative disulfide bond was found in the Vip3Aa18 sequence. The specific structures and sites of Vip3Aa18 sequence imply potential function.

Journal of Forensic Medicine 2014;30(1):1-12
OBJECTIVE:
To explore the injury mechanism of the human knee in a traffic accident by establishing a 3D finite element (FE) model.
METHODS:
The FE model, composed of femur, tibia, fibula, patella, meniscus, knee ligaments and surrounding soft tissues, was reconstructed by CT scanning data from a male volunteer. Validation was performed by the lateral impact simulation, and the stress and strain results were obtained to be compared with those previously reported for injury prediction.
RESULTS:
The results derived from the FE model were found to be similar with those previously reported, most of the ligaments and meniscus wounded at 40 m/s collision, which was readily observed.
CONCLUSION
The simulation results generated by FE model can be effectively used for the injury mechanism analysis of initial contact.

Mongolian folk medicine resource is the origin of Mongolian medicine development, even more important of which is the specialized Mongolian folk medicine resources with regional and high medicine quality, it processes distinctive national characteristics with irreplaceable important position in traditional Mongolian medicine. Nevertheless, due to the serious destroy of ecological environment and sharp increase of demands, etc. A lot of specialized Mongolian folk medicine resources were endangered, and there still existed some problems in the protection and exploitation and utilization. This paper intends to provide comprehensive insight into the species protection and exploitation and utilization states of specialized Mongolian folk medicine resources. The application and protection status and the existing problems were reviewed, and the development strategies of Mongolian folk medicine resource were analyzed.

Objective To evaluate the possibility of methylation analysis of secreted frizzled-related protein gene 2 (SFRP2),hyperplastic polyposis protein gene (HPP1) and O~6-methylguanine-DNA methyhransferase gene (MGMT) in feces for screening colorectal cancer (CRC).Methods Total DNA was isolated from fecal samples of 52 patients with colorectal cancer and 35 patients with benign colorectal diseases and 24 normal volunteers, and the methylation status of SFRP2,HPP1 and MGMT was analyzed with methylation-specific polymerase chain reaction. Results SFRP2,HPP1 and MGMT were methylated in 94.2%,71.2%,48.1% of CRCs,respectively. At least one of the three genes was methylated in 96.2% of CRCs and 81.8% of precancerous lesions, respectively. In contrast,of the 24 normal controls, only one had methylated SFRP2.These results indicated 93.7% sensitivity,77.1% specificity,84.3% positive predicative value and 90.2% negative predictive value of the test for detecting CRC and precancerous lesions. Conclusions Methylation analysis of SFRP2,HPP1 and MGMT gene in stool is a high sensitive screening tool for CRC and precancerous lesions.Analysis of fecal DNA methylation is expected to serve as a new detection way for CRC or a new screening tool for individuals at risk of developing colorectal neoplasm.

In order to identify ceftriaxone and its analogs whether has the function of anti-tolerance of morphine and study the dose-effect relation of ceftriaxone in mice, hot plate method to measure pain threshold of mouse and naloxone withdrawal models were carried out and compared with normal saline group. Ceftriaxone and cefotaxime had the effect of anti-tolerance and anti-dependence of morphine notably. And ceftriaxone has the effect of anti-tolerance of morphine in a dose dependent manner.

There are few articles or reports collecting evidence about Kudiezi injection from premarketing and postmarketing research or studies systematically. This article is an exact miniature of a systematical report about Kudiezi injection. We analyzed information from four aspects, such as quality control reports, non-clinical premarketing safety experiments, postmarketing research (efficacy studies, hospital information system data and national spontaneous reporting system data), and literature analysis. All the four aspects build an evidence body for Kudiezi injection in order to inform its safety use in clinical practice and further study.

Chinese Journal of Epidemiology 2012;33(4):378-381
Objective To explore the attitudes towards the Smoking Ban policy and the bias in different levels of related society sanctions so as to provide evidence for implementing anti-smoking measures in the public places. Methods A multi-univariate-multilevel logistic model was developed to find the relation between penalty attitudes and the covariates' effects. Results 74.6% (3647/4892) and 61.2% (2994/4892) of the residents agreed to punish either the managers of public places or to the smokers. The two kinds of attitude were associated (x2 =1253.45,P<0.0001 ).Residents being female, aged between thirty and fifty-nine years old, having had higher than college education, being non-current smokers, with high scores on knowledge of tobacco control, tended to have the attitude of punishing the public place managers and smokers. However, those persons exposed to everyday secondhand smoke or being non-current smokers, tended to punish the smokers in the generalized Wald test. Conclusion There was strong evidence noticed that most of the residents in Guangzhou had supported the ‘tobacco control penalty'.Factors as age, sex, level of education received, knowledge on hazards of smoking, being current smokers and under secondhand smoke exposure were the influencing factors.Non-current smokers and those who exposed to secondhand smoke everyday, would prefer to take different penalties policies.
