Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2015;32(1):229-234
Emotion recognition will be prosperious in multifarious applications, like distance education, healthcare, and human-computer interactions, etc. Emotions can be recognized from the behavior signals such as speech, facial expressions, gestures or the physiological signals such as electroencephalogram and electrocardiogram. Contrast to other methods, the physiological signals based emotion recognition can achieve more objective and effective results because it is almost impossible to be disguised. This paper introduces recent advancements in emotion research using physiological signals, specified to its emotion model, elicitation stimuli, feature extraction and classification methods. Finally the paper also discusses some research challenges and future developments.

Chinese Journal of Urology 2001;0(03):-
Objective To explore the causes of readmission after prostatectomy for BPH and to discuss the treatment approaches. Methods A total of 106 cases who were eligible for the study were reviewed.47 cases had residual and recurrent adenoma;of these cases,42 underwent TURP and 5 open prostatectomy again.32 cases developed urethral stricture;of these cases 27 underwent transurethral cold knife incision plus electric resection of scar and 3 urethral orifice reconstruction and 2 suprapubic cystostomy.11 cases who had experienced bleeding after TURP underwent transurethral bladder washing and coagulating.7 cases had neuropathic bladder dysfunction;of these cases 2 underwent transurethral bladder neck circle muscle resection,3 intermittent self-catheterization and 2 suprapubic cystostomy.6 cases had prostatic cancer;of these cases 1 underwent radical prostatectomy,3 palliative TURP plus orchiectomy and 2 orchiectomy.2 cases had incontinence after TURP;of the 2 cases 1 used external collecting device and 1 was transfered to other hospital for surgery.1 case had abdominal incision hernia and then underwent hernia repair. Results Among 106 cases, 97 cases underwent operations and of them 84 (86.6%) cases achieved successful results. The follow-up time was 6 months to 15 years with a mean of 5 years and 8 months.9 cases with urethral stricture required regular urethral dilation after surgery.4 cases who had had unsuccessful surgery underwent suprapubic cystostomy.Other 9 cases did not undergo operations due to poor health and other reasons. Conclusions Correct preoperative diagnosis, rational surgical type and adequate intraoperative and postoperative management are key to preventing readmission. Transurethral surgery is most favorable treatment choice for readmitted patients after prostatectomy for BPH.

Chinese Archives of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery 2006;0(02):-
OBJECTIVE To study the relationship between the methods of CPAP pressure titration (under whole night PSG or by auto-set) and CPAP compliance. METHODS Forty-five patients with serious OSAHS who had been diagnosed in our sleep lab between 2001 and 2004 and were willing to try CPAP treatment were enrolled. They were divided into A and B group according to their wills: pressure titration under whole night PSG in lab (group A) or by auto-set in their families (group B). After pressure titration, patients and their families were educated for the knowledge of CPAP treatment in OSAHS patients. Questionnaires about QOL before CPAP treatment and half year later were carried out on the phone. The decreased score was used to evaluate the effect of CPAP treatment. The hours of per day using machine were used to evaluate the compliance of CPAP. RESULTS Group A and group B got the similar decreased score (14 VS 14.3) , compliance (4.91h VS 4.97h) and adherence (85.7 % VS 88 %) . CONCLUSION OSAHS patients under go pressure titration either in lab with PSG or in their home with auto-set have the same effect and same compliance of CPAP treatment. That means the simple auto-titration can substitute the traditional titration under whole night in lab.
9. Comparative study on serum pharmacochemistry of Gardenia jasminoides under physiological and pathological status
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2011;42(11):2270-2274
Objective: By means of serum pharmacochemistry combined with modern chromatographic technology to elucidate the material basis for efficacy of aqueous extract from Gardenia jasminoides (AEGJ), which has antipyretic activities with bitter-cold property. Methods: Waters 2695 HPLC was employed as the detection system, based on the same chromatographic eluted condition, physiological and DNP-induced fever syndrome serum samples, collected from hepatic portal vein of rats after ig administration of AEGJ, were under determining to compare the absorptive variation of the chemical compounds. Results: The chromatographic fingerprints of common peaks for six batches of AEGJ were established to ascertain the optimized administration dosage, blood collection time, and the method used to process the serum. Compared with the normal administrated group under physiological status of rats, we found that the significant increment absorption of jasminoidin and the generation of two new migration compounds in the DNP fever syndrom model group. Conclusion: The increment absorption and the migration of chemical compounds in serum of DNP fever syndrome pathological model of rats might reasonably lead us to consider these chemical compounds as symbols of the bitter-cold property of G jasminoides.

Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2021;39(3):243-248
Objective:To investigate the factors related to the occurrence of submacular fluid (SMF) after pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) in the treatment of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD).Methods:A retrospective case series observational study was performed.A total of 103 patients (103 eyes) with RRD who underwent 23G vitrectomy combined with silicone oil tamponade in The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from May 2017 to August 2019 were included. There were 55 males and 48 females, aged from 17 to 77, with an average of (48.65±15.80) years. The macular morphology was observed by optical coherence tomography (OCT) before surgery and 1 month and 3 months after surgery. The patients were divided into SMF group and no SMF group according to OCT results at 1 month after surgery.Clinical data were compared and analyzed, including age, gender, duration of symptoms, axial length, the preoperative status of macula (on or off), retinal detachment caused by inferior retinal break or not, the way to drain subretinal fluid intraoperative, best corrected visual acuity (BCVA). FFA was performed in 3 eyes and microperimeter examination in 2 eyes with SMF according to patients' willingness.A multivariate binary Logistic regression was used to analyze the risk factors of SMF after vitrectomy in RRD patients. This study adhered to the Declaration of Helsinki and was approved by the Ethics Committee of The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University (No.2020-KY-334). Written informed consent was obtained from each subject prior to surgery. Results:Postoperative optical fundus examination and ocular ultrasound indicated that retinas of all eyes were completely anatomically reattached. There were 10.7% (11/103) of eyes developed SMF.The microperimeter examination results of 2 patients showed that their visual functions were worse at 3 months than those at 1 month after operation. The BCVA of patients with SMF at 1 month and 3 months after operation were worse than those without SMF, and the differences were statistically significant (both at P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that macula-off RD before surgery and RD caused by inferior break of retina were risk factors for the occurrence of SMF (OR=6.401, P=0.041; OR=19.819, P=0.005), while the increasing age and the drainage of subretinal fluid through draining hole were protective factors (OR=0.939, P=0.016; OR=0.123, P=0.040).Conclusions:Macula-off RD before surgery, and RD caused by inferior break of retina may be the risk factors of SMF after PPV combined with silicone oil tamponade for RRD.Nevertheless, the increasing age and the drainage of subretinal fluid through draining hole may decrease the occurrence of SMF.And SMF after PPV may delay visual recovery.
