2.Investigation on scientific results of some Ph.D dissertations in preventive medicine during some last year

An investigation on 34 abstracts of Ph.D. dissertations (PDD) in preventive medicine during 1998-2000, which implemented in Medical Military Institute, National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, HoChiMinh Medical - Pharmacy University, Hanoi Medical University. It's range from 7 specific professions: microbiology 10, epidemiology 9, virology and sociological sanitation 5 and health organization 5. There were 6 scientific fields related to the content of PDDs. Conclusions of 26 PDDs had new discovery, 6 PDDs had new discovery and public intervention, 3 PDDs had new discovery with economic effectiveness, results of 11 PDDs could be used in professional guidance, 14 PDDs put forward to new models and products, and 2 PDDs had new discovery with common recommendations

6.How to write an effective English title for an andrological paper?.

The title is the epitome as well as a most important part of an article. An effective title is required to be concise, informative and sensitive to electronic retrieval. In writing an English title for an andrological paper, the Chinese author should have a good knowledge of their basic requirements, functional types, common syntactic structures and unique language features. Besides, he must be aware of the discrepancies between the Chinese and the English people in their culture-oriented ways of thinking and representation and break away from the influence of their native language so as to produce an effective and idiomatic English title.

7.English writing mechanics for andrological papers need standardization among Chinese authors.

Mechanics play as essential a role as language presentation is the English writing of an andrological paper, and directly influence its quality and publication. They, however, frequently fail to receive due attention. In view of the typical problems among Chinese authors in English writing, and with a wide range of SCI included medical journals for reference, the author draws on his experience as an English editor for medical journals and introduces some most important and practical English writing mechanics, aiming to contribute to further standardization and improvement of Chinese authors'English writing of andrological as well as other medical papers.

10.Analysis of master degree thesis of otolaryngology head and neck surgery in Xinjiang.

OBJECTIVE:
To understand the basic situation and development of knowledge structure and ability of master degree of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery in Xinjiang region in order to provide reference to further improve the quality of postgraduate students.
METHOD:
Fourty-six papers of Otolaryngology master degree thesis were reviewed at randomly in terms of types, subject selection ranges as well as statistical methods during 1998-2009 in Xinjiang region in order to analyze and explore its advantages and characteristics and suggest a solution for its disadvantages.
RESULT:
In 46 degree thesis, nine of them are scientific dissertations accounting for 19.57%, 37 are clinical professional degree thesis, accounting for 80.43%. Five are Experimental research papers, 30 are clinical research papers, 10 are clinical and experimental research papers, 1 of them is experimental epidemiology research paper; in this study, the kinds of diseases including every subject of ENT, various statistical methods are involved; references are 37.46 in average, 19.55 of them are foreign literatures references in nearly 5 years are 13.57; four ethnic groups are exist in postgraduate students with high teaching professional level of tutors.
CONCLUSION
The clinical research should be focused in order to further research on ENT common diseases, the application of advanced research methods, the full application of the latest literature, tutors with high-level, training of students of various nationalities, basic research needs to be innovative and should be focus the subject characteristics, to avoid excessive duplication of research.
