The optimum conditions for the processing of Sparganium stoloniferum Buch-Ham. withvinegar were studied by L9(3)4 orthogonal experimental design, as guided by decrease of writhing rate inanalgesic test and anticoagulant activity. The results showed that the best processing conditions were stirfrying of the raw S. stoloniferum with the addition of 25 kg of vinegar per 100 kg of crude drug at 130℃for 10 min.

Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(12):-
Objective:To compare the effect of different processing methods on the content of Ginsenoside Rg 1 from Radix Notoginseng. Methods: The HPLC method was used for the determination. Chromatographic condition includes: C 18 column, acetonitrile water (45∶55) as a mobile phase, UV detector wavelength at 203nm, 25 ?C column temperature and 0.7 mL?min -1 of flow rate. Results: The content of Ginsenoside Rg 1 of the Radix Notoginseng powder was the highest among all samples. Its recovery was 95.53% and RSD was 2.11% . The correlation coefficient was 0.9999 . Conclusions: It is better to use Radix Notoginseng in the form of the Powder in clinic.

Traditional Chinese Drug Research & Clinical Pharmacology 1993;0(03):-
Objective To study the effect of different extraction parts from Xiongjiang Decoction(XD) on promoting uterine muscle contraction(UMC).Methods UMC in normal mice was measured in vitro by applying serologic pharmacological test. Results Alcohol extracts of XD had an obvious effect on promoting UMC,but the volatile oil and water-extraction alcohol-precipitation extracts had an inhibitory effect.Chloroform part of alcohol extracts had a stronger effect on UMC than other extraction parts. Conclusion The different parts or components extracted from the same decoction have different effects.

Objective: To clarify chemical dynamic change of volatile oil of Root of Changium Smyrnioides Wolff during Processing, to analyse and study the change of constituent proportion to see if new constituents produce or original constituents disappear, to discuss the processing mechanism of root of Changium smyrnioides . Method: The constituents and contain of volatile oils of root of Changium smyrnioides before, during and after processing are comparatively analyzed by using techniques of combined capillary gas chromatography mass spectrometry computer. Result: 34 chemical compounds are identified, among them there were 29 compounds isolated from volatile oil of fresh root of Changium smyrnioides, with a proportion of 97.873% in total oil, its main constituent is CSY and its content reaches 70.946%; 34 compounds were isolated from volatile oil of fresh decorticated root of Changium smyrnioides, with a propoction of 93.452%, main constituent is CSY, its content reaches 75.909%; and 19 compounds from volatile oil of fresh root cortices of Changium smyrnioides, 96.878% , main constituent is CSY, content 70.977%; 11 compounds from volatile oil of processed root of Changium smyrnioides, 88.839%, main constituent is CSY, content 67.234%. Conclusion: Main reasons of non sensibilization of processed root of Changium smyrnioides are considered to be the content decrease and qualitative change of the volatile oils, and the content of snsibilization activity constituent——CSY decreased from 0.0497% to 0.0134%.
