Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of abdominal acupuncture plus herbal medicine in treating chronic pelvic pain due to qi stagnation and blood stasis after pelvic inflammatory diseases.Method Sixty patients with chronic pelvic pain due to qi stagnation and blood stasis after pelvic inflammatory diseases were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 30 in each group. The treatment group was intervened by abdominal acupuncture plus herbal medicine, while the control group was by herbal medicine alone. After 3 menstrual cycles, the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) for abdominal pain and McCormack scale were observed.Result After intervention, the abdominal VAS score and McCormack score were changed significantly in both groups (P<0.01,P<0.05). After intervention, there were significant differences in comparing the VAS score and McCormack score between the two groups (P<0.01).Conclusion Abdominal acupuncture plus herbal medicine can reduce chronic pelvic pain due to qi stagnation and blood stasis after pelvic inflammatory diseases.

OBJECTIVE:To prepare papaverine-nitroglycerin ointment and to establish a method for its quality control.METHODS:Nitroglycerin, papaverine hydrochloride and diclofenac potassium were used as basic remedies to prepare oint?ment. The contents of nitroglycerin, papaverine hydrochloride and diclofenac potassium were determined by UV-spec?trophotometric methods.RESULTS:The average recovery rates of Nitroglycerin, papaverine hydrochloride and diclofenac potassium were100.65%、99.86%、100.55%respectively,and RSD equal to0.4945%、0.1719%、0.3205%respectively(n=3). CONCLUSION:The ointment preparation is feasible in technique, reliable in quality control and stable in quality.

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture combined with Medical Training Therapy (MTT) for Functional ankle instability (FAI).Methods:A total of 72 patients, who met the inclusion criteria of FAI, from January 2018 to June 2019, were selected and randomly divided them into 4 groups: Combination group (CG), MTT group (MTT), Acupuncture group (ACU) and Control group (Ctrl). Intervention of groups were that MTT and Acupuncture were used in CG, MTT and acupuncture are used separately in MTT and ACU groups. Patients of Ctrl Group were on the waiting list. All four groups were treated for 8 weeks. The Cumberland Ankle Instability Tool (CAIT), Foot And Ankle Ability Measure (FAAM) and American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) were assessed for the ankle function evaluation. Results:After treatment, the CAIT (23.17 ± 5.22, 21.17 ± 6.85, 21.88 ± 4.24 vs. 20.10 ± 6.31, F=34.737), FAAM-ADL (96.52 ± 3.61, 94.39 ± 5.56, 95.04 ± 4.03 vs. 92.66 ± 10.18, F=39.244), FAAM-Sport (72.38 ± 8.10, 70.71 ± 9.57, 71.82 ± 10.0 vs. 57.98 ± 15.27, F=42.187) and AOFAS (89.16 ± 3.02, 85.82 ± 5.33, 86.08 ± 4.00 vs. 77.08 ± 8.90, F=37.629) in CG Group, MTT Group, ACU Group were significantly higher than those in the Ctrl Group ( P<0.01). Conclusion:Acupuncture combined with MTT treatment can increase the stability and improve the ankle function, which is superior to acupuncture alone and MTT alone.

With the enhancement of aesthetic awareness of children's oral maxillofacial development, multi-disciplinary doctors pay attention to children's oral maxillofacial management. Artificial intelligence (AI) technology has been gradually applied to all fields of children's oral maxillofacial management because of its outstanding advantages in medical screening and auxiliary decision-making. This article reviews the application of AI technology in the screening, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of oral maxillofacial management in children.

Objective:To discuss the application of virtual endoscopy in the diagnosis of adenoid hypertrophy and the morphologic classification of adenoid. Methods:The clinical data of 97 children with adenoid hypertrophy admitted to Department of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Shenzhen University General Hospital from July 2022 to December 2022 were collected. The virtual endoscopic reconstruction of the nasopharynx was performed by cone beam computed tomography. The results of virtual endoscopic adenoid size measurement were compared with the results of nasopharyngeal CT median sagittal position and nasopharyngeal endoscopy. Virtual endoscopic classification of adenoid based on the size of the adenoids and their relationship with the torus tubarius. Results:The t-test results of the size of adenoids measured by virtual endoscopy and nasopharyngeal CT were t=1.699 and P=0.093, and the results of intra-group correlation coefficient(ICC) analysis were ICC=0.921 and P<0.01. The proportion of adenoids measured by virtual endoscopy and nasopharyngeal CT was highly consistent. The t-test results of the size of adenoids measured virtual endoscopy and nasopharyngeal endoscopy were t=1.543 and P=0.15, and the results of intra-group correlation coefficient(ICC) analysis were ICC=0.900 and P<0.01. The proportion of adenoids measured by virtual endoscopy and nasopharyngeal endoscopy was highly consistent. Among the 97 children, the morphological classification results of adenoids were 48 cases of overall hypertrophy type, 47 cases of central bulge type, and 2 cases of flat thickening type. Conclusion:The diagnosis of adenoid hypertrophy by virtual endoscopy has high accuracy, which not only avoids the invasive operation of traditional nasopharyngeal endoscopy, but also can observe the adenoid condition and its relationship with the torus tubarius from multiple angles. And, the morphological classification of adenoids using virtual endoscopy has guiding significance for perioperative preparation.
