Objective To study the effect of mannose receptor(MR) from human spermatozoa on sperm-egg fusion. Methods The Balb/c mouse was immunized with the purified mannose receptor(pMR) which was isolated from motile human sperm by mannose-agarose gel affinity chromatography and the anti-MR serum was harvested. Human sperm after induction of acrosome reaction was pretreated with anti-MR serum and subsequently processed in sperm penetration assay (SPA). Results The anti-MR serum can inhibit human spermatozoa from binding and penetrating zona-free golden hamster eggs with a dose-dependent reduction of Fertilization rate(FR) and Penetration index(PI).Conclusion The results indicate that MR of human sperm plays an important role in sperm-oocyte fusion.

Objective To investigate the relationship between the zinc and copper concentration and the clinical outcomes of in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer(ivf-et).Methods The clinical data and zinc and copper concentration of serum on the days with human Chorionic gonadotropin(hCG) injection as well as that in the follicular fluid on the the day of oocyte retrieval were retrospectively analyzed in 43 cases with IVF-ET cycles. Results Application of pearson correlation analysis showed that copper concentration in follicular fluid of the 43 cases was positively correlated with the numbers of retrieved oocytes, fertilized oocytes and cleaved embryos( r were 0.392,0.327 and 0.321,respectively,P were 0.0094,0.0325 and 0.0361 respectively ) Between the pregnant group and non-pregnant group, the zinc and copper concentration in follicular fluid was not significantly different ( P > 0.05 ) ; the serum estradiol ( E2 ) on the day of hCG administration was of significantly different(t =2.177,P =0.0353 );the serum zinc concentration on the day of hCG administration was of significantly different ( t =2.153,P =0.0372).Conclusion Trace elements zinc and copper might play an important role in the process of IVF-ET.

Objective To analyze the expression of the placenta Grb10 from women conceived by transferred thawed blastocyst, and to evaluate the security of blastocysts vitrification. Methods A cross-sectional study was performed in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Fujian Provincial Maternity and Children's Hospital from January 2012 to May 2014,50 women conceived by transferring thawing blastocyst and 50 natural pregnancy control women were enrolled in this study. The expression of Grb10 protein was detected by immunohistochemistry and Western blot, and the expression of Grb10 mRNA was detected by Realtime PCR method. Results Comparison of two cases of gestational age, gestational age, fetal sex, fetal body weight, body length, head circumference, abdominal circumference, there were no significant differences(P>0.05),comparison of placental area, placental weight, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Real-time PCR and Western blot results showed that, there was no significant difference in the expression of Grb10 mRNA and protein between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Blastocysts vitrification may increase the area and quality of delivery of placenta, however, there was no significant change in the expression of Grb10 in placenta.
