Objective To provide decision-making information for the spread of techniques that improve the quality of neonates. Methods A systematic study was made of the political, technical, economic and social viability of neonatal disease screening in China by means of economic and policy evaluation, sociological analysis, and statistical analysis. Results Neonatal disease screening was conducted in 29 provinces throughout the country. However, there was a great difference between the provinces in screening coverage. In order to strengthen control, 16 provinces issued methods or regulations concerning neonatal disease screening. Since the Ministry of Health did not issue relevant control methods that would standardize the responsibilities of the organizations undertaking the screening, problems affecting the safety and effectiveness of neonatal disease screening became increasingly prominent. Conclusion It is necessary and viable to conduct neonatal disease screening in China. But macro control of the work by the government needs to be reinforced. The Ministry of Health ought to issue as soon as possible methods for controlling neonatal disease screening and relevant technical criteria. At the same time publicity of the work needs to be strengthened in society so as to give it impetus throughout the country.

Oxidative damage theory is currently one of the predominant theories on the mechanisms of aging. Previous research has shown that antioxidants can extend the lifespan in the model organism by scavenging free radicals,inducing the expression of stress related genes and hormesis. However, recent studies have suggested that these pharmaceuticals may cause serious side effects,such as promoting oxidation,increasing the risk of cancer,and destroying the metabolic balance. The low absorption and targeting property also limit the efficiency of most antioxidants. As a result ,the correlation between antioxidants and lifespan extension remains to be demonstrated. We reviewed the research progress in the field of lifespan extension by antioxidants in recent years and provided references for future research in related areas.

The author made a feasible study on the construction of public management system of traditional Chinese medical picture resources based on current existence of TCM pictures.Pictorial resources of original separation,multielement,isomerism,and scattered distribution,were united by physical and logical patterns for the purpose of enhancing their availability.Public management system plat Of TCM picture resources was set up,with the characteristics of practicability,novelty,originality,and suitability for scientific research,teaching and public propagate education.

Objective To explore the outpatients′experience of caring and provide references for improving their experience of medical care.Methods The phenomenology research method was adopted in this study,and twenty-one outpatients were subject to an in-depth interview to learn their outpatient experiences.Results Ten themes of experience with caring were extracted as follows:passionate and patient,careful and considerate,respect for others,offers to help,encouraging and comforting,apologies and courteously,humor,truthful considerations,conscientious and responsible,and a caring environment setup.Five themes of experience without caring were extracted as follows:impatient communication, careless seeing of outpatients,delayed service,passive reminders,and facilities without enough details. Conclusions The outpatients may have abundant experiences of caring at the outpatient clinic,also lack of caring sometimes as well.Outpatient managers should keep an eye on outpatients′needs and satisfaction of caring from time to time,to improve the quality of outpatient service.

IgA vasculitis (IgAV) is a common systemic small-sized vessel vasculitis.It's characterized by non-thrombocytopenic palpable purpura,arthralgia/arthritis,bowel angina,and nephritis,but some details of etiology and pathogenesis is not very clear.The disease course is usually benign and self-limited,however,it is necessary to discuss the therapy of severe or chronic cases,especially there is not enough evidence-based basis for using key drugs to IgAV.Excellent clinical trails is expected to establish scientific system of prediction and evaluation of disease course,which will be helpful to individualize treatment of IgAV.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the feasibility of utilizing pedicled sternocleidomastoid clavicular periosteocutaneous flap to reconstruct the laryngotracheal defect after tumor resection. METHOD: To review 6 cases of laryngotracheal defect resulting from resction of thyroid papillary carcinoma(4/6) or subglottic laryngeal carcinoma (2/6) (T1~2N1~2M0 , UICC,2002), laryngotracheal stenting was also employed in all cases. Half a year after surgery, the stoma was sutured if no local recurrence took place and safety was proved after tracheal tube had been obstructed for days. The follow-up time lasted from half a year to 3 years. RESULT: Four cases (4/6) were extubated successfully without event, one case could intermittently plug the tracheal tube. One patient couldn't breath with tracheal tube plugging. CONCLUSION To reconstruct the laryngotracheal defect with pedicled sternocleidomastoid clavicular.periosteocutaneous flap after tumor resection is feasible in selected cases and could get satisfactory clinical results either in respiration or phonation.

Objective To investigate the impact on ovarian reserve function by different hemostasis methods during laparoscopic surgery in treatment of ovarian endometrioma.Methods From September 2008 to February 2010,162 cases with ovarian endometrioma undergoing laparoscopic surgery in Shandong Provincial Hospital were enrolled in this study.At the 3rd day of the menstrual cycle before surgery and the 1 st,3rd,6th and 12th cycle after surgery,serum FSH and anti-mullerian hormone(AMH) and ultrasound basal antral follicle count (AFC) and peak systolic velocity (PSV) were examined and compared.Based on hemostasis method,those patients were divided into 3 groups,including 54 cases in bipolar hemostasis,54 cases in ultrasonic scalpel hemostasis and suture after excision of endometrioma.Results (1) Before surgery:no significant different factors among three groups before surgery were observed,including age,size of endometrioma,the level of FSH,AMH,AFC,PSV (P ＞ 0.05).(2) Ovarian reserve function after surgery:①FSH:at the 1st,3rd,6th and 12th month follow-up,the FSH in the bipolar group was (11.7 ±4.0),(9.9 ± 4.0),(9.5 ± 4.3),(9.5 ± 3.9) U/L,and the FSH in ultrasonic scalpel group was (11.4 ±4.3),(9.7 ± 4.0),(9.2 ± 3.7),(9.9 ± 4.6) U/L,were significantly higher than (9.3 ± 3.8),(6.7 ±3.0),(6.5 ± 3.2),(6.4 ± 2.2) U/L in suture group respectively (all P ＜ 0.05).()AMH:at the 1 st,3rd,6th and 12th month follow-up,the AMH in the bipolar group was (1.8 ±0.9),(1.8 ± 1.0),(1.9 ±1.0),(2.0 ± 1.0) μg/L,and the AMH in the ultrasonic scalpel group was (1.6 ±± 0.8),(1.8 ± 1.0),(2.0 ± 1.1),(2.1 ± 1.0) μg/L,which were significantly lower than (2.8 ± 1.7),(2.9 ± 1.6),(3.0 ±1.3),(3.2 ± 1.5) μg/L in suture group,respectively (all P ＜ 0.05).③AFC:there was no significant difference of APC among the three groups in the 1st month after surgery.However,at the 3rd,6th and 12th month follow-up,the AFC of 4.8 ± 1.4,5.9 ± 1.5,6.1 ± 1.5 in the suture group was significant higher than 3.7 ± 1.4,4.1 ± 1.4,4.0 ± 1.5 in bipolar group and 3.6 ± 1.3,4.0 ± 1.1,3.9 ± 1.5 in ultrasonic group,respectively (all P ＜ 0.05).④PSV:at the 1 st,3rd,6th and 12th month follow-up,the PSV of the bipolar group(7.9 ±3.5),(8.1 ±3.3),(8.4 ±3.1),(8.6±3.0) cm/s in bipolar group and (8.1 ±3.5),(8.0 ± 3.0),(7.9 ± 3.2),(8.0 ± 2.9) cm/s in ultrasonic group were significant lower than (10.9 ± 3.3),(12.0 ± 3.2),(11.8 ± 3.0),(12.1 ± 4.1) cm/s in suture group,respectively.(allP＜0.05).Conclusions Bipolar or ultrasonic scalpel hemostasis during laparoscopic excision of ovarian endometrioma is associated with a significant reduction in ovarian reserve.Electrocoagulation of the ovarian tissue should be avoided.

A method was developed to elucidate the structures of sulfated oligosaccharides through establishment of an effective reversed phase ion pair ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled with electrospray ionization time of flight mass spectrometry( RPIP-UPLC-ESI-TOF-MS). Heptylamine (20 mmol/L,pH4) has been selected as the ion-pairing agent.κ-Carrageenan oligosaccharides have been separated on BEH C_(18) column using MeOH/H_2O with 25% heptylammonium formate as eluent in linear gradient mode. Mass spectra were obtained by ESI-Q-TOF-MS in both positive and negative modes. κ-Carrageenan oligosaccharides were well separated up to pentatetrasaccharide,and ESIMS analysis for κ-carrageenan oligosaccharides up to hepta-cosasccharide. The results showed that all acid hydrolyzed κ-carrageenan oligosaccharides were odd sugars,which was further confirmed by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis ( PAGE). The characteristic fragmentation pattern of ion-pair oligosaccharides in mass spectra can be applied for rapid structure identification.
