Objective To observe the clinical characteristics and surgical methods of strabismus following external approach for retinal detachment, and explore the common factors related to deviation angles of strabismus. Methods Twenty-five cases of secondary strabismus following external approach for retinal detachment underwent strabismus surgery were recruited, and the follow-up time was from 5 months to 41 months.Ophthalmic examinations were performed before operation.Clinical characteristics of these cases were observed by intraoperative exploration, including preoperative and postoperative eye position and ocular movement (at 1 week and further followup). The preoperative and postoperative deviation angles of strabismus were evaluated according to the times of retinal detachment operation, postoperative BCVA and the surgery procedure of hang-back recession. Results Before strabismus operation, all cases underwent abnormal eye-movements,8 cases suffered from diplopia, and scar adhesions were observed in all involved ocular muscles during operation.Seven cases underwent weakening procedure of extraocular muscle,18 cases underwent weakening procedure plus strengthening procedure.Ten cases underwent hang-back recession among them.At 1 week and the final follow-up,the eyeball in21 cases and 15 cases were in position,4 cases and 9 cases were in undercorrection,5 cases and 7 cases were in limitation, and 2 cases and 1 case were in diplopia. The more operations were performed in retinal detachment, the more scar adhesions were presented, and statistical significance existed with the mean deviation angles before and after operation(in a week) between cases that had one-time and over-one-time of retinal detachment surgery (P =0.01,0.00).No difference of mean deviation angles was found at one week after operation and at follow-ups between the cases with and without hang-back recession (P =0.26,0.63).Conclusion Abnormal eyemovements, diplopia and scar adhesion are the most common clinical characteristics of strabismus following retinal detachment surgery.Times of retinal detachment operation and postoperative BCVA can influence the deviation angles of strabismus, and hang-back recession seems the safe and effective method of strabismus surgery.

Objective To establish HPLC method to determine the content and the recovery of rosmarinic acid in common selfheal fruit-spike effective component of colon target tablets. Methods HPLC column was Diamonsil C18,200 mm×4.6 mm,5μm, wavelength was 330 nm, mobile phase methanol was 0.1% formic acid aqueous solution (45:55), flow rate was 1.0 ml/min, and the sample size was 20μl.Results The fine linear relation was shown at the rosmarinic acid methanol concentration of 2.99-119.6μg/ml, with 72 h in stable state. The method has fine precision, the spotting recovery was 95%-105%, andRSD was less than 2%. Conclusion The method has high specificity, meeting the demands for content determination.

[Objective]To study the correlated factors of hidden blood loss after simultaneous bilateral total knee arthroplasty.[Method]From Feb.2005 to Feb.2007,a retrospective analysis of 44 patients underwent knee arthroplasty was conducted to calculate the mean blood loss and occult blood loss according to Gross formula. The true total blood loss was calculated depending on height weight and pre-and post-operation HCT.[Result]The mean total blood loss were 2 065 ml in these cases with occult blood loss of 1 198 ml.In patients with autologous blood transfusion, the mean total blood loss were 2 180 ml with occult loss of 937 ml(42%).In patients without autologous blood transfusion, the mean total blood loss were 1 195 ml with occult blood loss of 799 ml(41%).[Conclusion]The hidden blood loss result in large volume of the total blood loss in the postoperative period which can not be fully compensated by autologous blood transfusion and it 's very important to additional blood supply during simultaneous bilateral total knee arthroplasty.

[Objective]To observe the change of ultrapathology in the rat model study of experimental lumbar intervertebral disc degeneration.[Method]Thirty-two Sprague-Dawley(SD)rats were divided into two guoups at random, including in the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group was incised through posterior approach along spinous process, resected below erector spinal muscle, the supraspinal and interspinal ligament and the posterior of the zygapophysial joint at the center of the third lumbar spine for providing the rat degeneration of lumbar intervertebral induced by mechanical instability state. The control group was just incised the skin. All of th rats were examined after eight weeks by electronmicroscope.[Result]There was no special ultrapathological characterization after operation in the control group, while in experimented group most chonduocyte-like cells were degenerated or necrotic and their number decreased markedly, collagenous fibrils appeared various kinds of degeneration including fusion, twist and calcification, and there were gaps between the collagen bundles.[Conclusion]Observing the change in the rat model study of experimental lumbar intervertebral disc degeneration by ultrapathology,it can offer the experimental data studying tile degeneration of lumbar intervertebral disc.

OBJECTIVE:To establish a HPLC method for determining the concentration of dexketoprofen in rabbit’s pla_ sma.METHODS:Dexketoprofen was extracted from samples with ether.HPLC was performed on C 18 column with methyl al?cohol-50mmol/L sodium dihydrogen phosphate as mobile phase.Detection wavelength was260nm.RESULTS:The linear range was0.05~25?g/ml.Recovery was99.92%~100.54%.Within-day and between-day RSDs were0.56%~2.94%and0.6%~2.89%respectively.CONCLUSION:This method is simple, accurate and good in repetitiveness.Satisfactory results have been obtained in determining plasma concentrations of dexketoprofen in6rabbits after taking dexketoprofen-?-cy?clodextrin inclusion microspheres.

Objective To prepare microspheres of dextro ketoprofen ? cyclodextrin (S KP ? CD) for prolonging the drug releasing time in vitro . Methods Microspheres containing S KP ? CD were prepared by complex coacervation method with gelatin and acacia. Trap efficiency, drug loading, and drug content were determined. The dissolubility of S KP in the intestinal liquid was compared with that in the gastric liquid. Results In comparison with S KP, microspheres of S KP ? CD possessed slow releasing property. Conclusion Drug microspheres prepared by this simple, easy, and accurate method are of slow releasing property.

Objective To investigate the changes of plasma free carnitine (FC) concentrations in preterm infants supplemented with L-carnitine, and to provide a reference for routine preterm infants L-carnitine supplements. Methods A total of 99 preterm infants supplemented with 10 mg/(kg·d) L-carnitine on days 2 and 5 after birth, and 65 full term infants from Department of Neonatology, the Fifth People′s Hospital of Dongguan during July 2014 to December 2015 were recruited in this study , and filter-paper blood spots were collected by heel prick on days 1, 3 and 7. FC was measured using electron spray ionization (ESI) tandem mass spectrometry (MS-MS). Results Concentrations of FC decreased steadily from day 1 to day 7 in full term infants , while it remained the same level during the first week after birth as at birth. Additionally, concentrations of FC were significantly higher in preterm infants than full term infants on day 1 after birth. Conclusions The reasonable L-carnitine supplements may keep the levels of plasma FC at the levels at birth , which is important for fatty acid metabolism in preterm infants.

72 cases of treatments on insomnia were recorded in the medical books of Ming and Qing dynasties(A.D.1368~1911 years). The compatibility regularity of treating insomnia in these 72 cases were statistically analyzed with frequency and the R type cluster analysis methods. Combining the data and modern recognition, compatibility and medication regularity of treating insomnia was further analyzed.
