1.Coblation-channelling for the tongue.
Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2014;28(6):386-388
OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the efficacy of Coblation-channelling for the tongue(CCT) treatment of tongue hypertrophy.
METHOD:
The 31 patients with severe obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) combining tongue hypertrophy staged as Friedman ll or N were performed CCT after nasal septum surgery, coblation channelling of bilateral inferior turbinate and coblation-assisted UPPP. While the vertical channelling in the base and the body of the tongue, the tilted one parallel side edge and posterior to the tongue were combined. The intraoperative and postoperative complications such as bleeding were observed. The 12 months postoperative follow-up were done by MRI of the tongue.
RESULT:
The retrolingual space were expanded postoperatively. The 2 bleedings occurred immediately after channellings in the tongue body, and they were stopped by local compression. No postoperative tongue paralysis, no tongue hematoma and abscess happened. The tongue sizes changed from preoperative III or IV degree to postoperative I to II degrees. One case received three CCT sessions.
CONCLUSION
CCT treatment tongue hypertrophy is a individually safe, effective and minimally invasive treatment.

Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2021;30(1):5-10
The clinical application of biological immunotherapy such as chimeric antigen receptor T cells (CAR-T) and novel targeted therapy has explored a new therapy for multiple myeloma (MM) treatment. Targeting B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA), allogeneic CAR-T, antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) and bispecific antibody targeting BCMA have achieved remarkable efficacy and safety in many clinical studies. This article introduces the latest immunotherapy for MM at the 62nd American Society of Hematology (ASH) Annual Meeting.

Objective To investigate the use of the endotracheal silicone stent with silver wire in repair of stricture of laryngotrachea. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on nine cases with stricture of laryngotracheal stenosis that were treated with endotracheal silicone stent with silver wire that was then decannulated three months later. Results Endotracheal silicone stent with silver wire were successfully decannulated in all cases. The follow up ranging from 11 months to three years showed no stricture happened again. Conclusion Endotracheal silicone stent with silver wire can effectively and minimally invasively treat the stricture of laryngotrachea.

10 years. Pulmonary functions were determined routinely and followed for 10 years. Results Comparison between the values of pulmonary functions at the beginning and end of a 10- year follow-up showed very significant difference in the groups of Ⅲ, Ⅳ and Ⅴ. Among the parameters examined, FEV_1, PEF, MMEF, and MVV showed significant increase in these 3 groups (P

To study changes of lung function for 10 years in the elder patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD) who have quitted smoking for more than 10 years, 45 elder patients with COPD who had quitted smoking for more than 10 years were selected, and 11 elder patients with COPD who had never smoked were enrolled too. Routine lung function tests were performed. Initial values of VC, FVC, FEV 1 , PEF, MMEF, and MVV were compared with those 10 years later, and it was found the difference was significant ( P

To investigate the changes of inducible nitric oxide synthase mRNA (iNOSmRNA) in pulmonary tissues of tail suspended rats during simulated weightlessness, experiments on 40 Spragno Dawley male rats were conducted. The rats were divided into 4 groups:suspended for 7d, and its control, suspended for 21d, and its control tail suspension(-30 ) was used as weightlessness simulation. The condition of iNOSmRNA in pulmonary tissues was examined by hybridization in situ. The results showed that the level of iNOSmRNA in pulmonary tissues of 7d tail suspended rats increased significantly( P

To investigate the changes of cell apoptosis genes in pulmonary tissue of tail suspended rats during simulated weightlessness, 40 Spragno Dawley male rats were divided into 4 groups: suspended for 7d,control of 7d, suspended for 21d, and control of 21d.Tail suspension(-30?) was used as weightlessness simulation. The condition of bcl 2/bax in pulmonary tissues was detected by in situ hybridization. The results showed that the level of bcl 2 mRNA in pulmonary tissue of 7d tail suspended rats decreased significantly( P 0 05). The results also showed that the level of bax mRNA in pulmonary tissue of 7d tail suspended rats increased significantly( P 0 05).It can be concluded that there are certain changes of cell apoptosis genes in pulmonary tissue of 7d tail suspended rats during simulated weightlessness.

Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2005;0(09):-
Objective To investigate the feasibility o f endoscopic resection of parathyroid adenoma. Methods Endoscopi c parathyroidectomy by anterior chest approach was performed in 5 patients with parathyroid adenoma. Results The operation was successfully ac complished in all the 5 patients, requiring no conversions to open surgery. The operating time was 120~150 min (mean, 130 min), and the intraoperative blood los s, 5~15 ml (mean,10 ml). No postoperative complications such as hemorrhage, hoar seness, choke, subcutaneous emphysema and effusion, or infection were seen. All the patients were followed for 6~24 months(mean,14 months), with satisfactory cu rative and cosmetic results. Conclusions Endoscopic resection for parathyroid adenoma gives reliable curative effects and excellent cosmetic o utcomes.

OBJECTIVE:To determine the content of paeonol in Cynanchum paniculatum by three-dimensional fluorescence coupled with ATLD algorithm. METHODS:The trilinear model was established. The principle of least square was used for ATLD. The component value was fitted by core consistency diagnosis, and inner filter effect was corrected by mathematical correction method. Fluorescence scanning condition included excitation wavelength of 250-400 nm,emission wavelength of 410-600 nm, wavelength interval of 5 nm,slit width of 5.0/5.0 nm,scanning speed of 1200 nm/min. Determination and absorption spectrum condition included scanning wavelength of 250-600 nm,scanning speed of 600 nm/min;Al(Ⅲ)was used as the sensitizer to in-crease the fluorescence intensity of paeonol. The content of paeonol was determined by HPLC. RESULTS:The linear range of pae-onol was 0.132-1.188 μg/mL(r=0.9999). RSDs of precision, stability and reproducibility tests were less than 3.0%. The recover-ies were 100.1%-104.7%(RSD=2.39%,n=6). The analysis spectrum of paeonol was almost completely overlapped with the actu-al spectrum. The results of HPLC method are very similar to those of ATLD algorithm. CONCLUSIONS:The three-dimensional fluorescence coupled with ATLD algorithm is simple, rapid, efficient and accurate, and can be used for the qualitative and quantita-tive analysis of complex system.
