Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2009;15(10):930-932
Objective To observe the effect of conductive education(CE) combined rehabilitation therapy on stroke patients. Methods 57 stroke patients were assigned to experiment group (25 cases) and control group (32 cases). Both groups received rehabilitation therapy, meanwhile, experiment group received CE. Main outcome measure:①FMA; ②Barthel Index(BI); ③Social function action questionnaire(SFA).Results FMA, BI and SFA increased significantly(P<0.05)in both groups after treatment. BI and SFA improved more in experiment group than those of control group between group comparisons(P<0.05).Conclusion Conductive education combined rehabilitation therapy could improve the motor function, ability of daily living and social function action on stroke patients.

Objective To analyze the validity of clinical memory scale in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD). Methods 60 PD patientswere assessed by clinical memory scale and Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE). Results The scores of clinical memory scalesignificantly correlated with the scores of MMSE (r=0.608, P<0.001). The scores of clinical memory scale were higher in no-memory impairmentgroup than in memory impairment group (P<0.05). Conclusion Clinical memory scale is good at evaluating the memory impairmentof PD patients with good criteria validity and discriminating validity.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2012;18(10):951-953
Objective To study the characteristic of memory impairment and its related factors in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD). Methods 155 PD patients were assigned to 4 age groups. Clinical memory scale, Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression (HAMD) and Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HAMA) were used to assess them. Results The memory quotient (MQ) of PD patients were significantly lower than the norm (P<0.01). The scores of associational learning, direct memory, picture recall and portrait association in each age groups were lower than norm (P<0.05), but nonsense figure recognition (P>0.05). The MQ of PD patients was significantly related with education and depression or anxiety (P<0.01), and was not correlated with age, gender and course of disease (P>0.05). Conclusion The MQ of PD patients are lower especially in associational learning, direct memory, picture recall and portrait association. The MQ of PD patients is correlated with education and depression or anxiety significantly.

Objective To investigate the reliability of Berg Balance Scale (BBS) applied in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD). Methods 121 PD inpatients from March to December, 2011 were assessed with BBS by 2 raters, and the testing procedure was videoed. One of the raters assessed with BBS via video 4 weeks later. The intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) and Kappa coefficient between raters and between tests were investigated. Results The ICC was 1.00 of the total score between raters and 0.99 between tests, while the Kappa co-efficient were 0.66 to 0.93 and 0.69 to 0.99 of the items. Conclusion BBS is reliable in interrater and test-retest as applied in PD patients.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of transcranial magnetic stimulation(TMS)on motor function after acute cerebral infarction.Methods60 patients who suffered acute cerebral infarction were assigned to experiment group and control group(30 cases each group). Both groups received rehabilitation theropy. Meanwhile, experiment group received TMS. Fugl-Meyer Assessment(FMA), National Institute of Health Scale of Stroke(NIHSS), Barthel Index(BI) were used to measure the outcome.ResultsThe scores of FMA and BI increased significantly(P<0.05) while that of NIHSS decreased significantly(P<0.05) in both groups after treatment. However, these scores in experiment group improved more compared with those of control group(P<0.05).ConclusionTMS is helpful to improve the motor function, ability of daily living and neurological function.

Objective:To investigate the application value of ultrasound-guided multimodal examinations in the diagnosis of lymph node mycobacterial infection. Methods:The clinical data of 42 patients with suspected lymph node mycobacterial infection who were initially diagnosed at the Affiliated Hospital of Shaoxing University from January 2019 to December 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. All patients underwent an ultrasound-guided lymph node-negative pressure puncture. Acid-fast staining, bacterial culture, pathological examination or their combination were used to screen lymph nodes for mycobacterial infection. The results were compared with those of acid-fast staining and bacterial culture of sputum and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid smears. Results:The combined application of acid fast staining, bacterial culture, and pathological examination for the puncture fluid smear showed a positive rate of 71.4% (30/42), which was significantly higher than the positive rate [26.2% (11/42)] for acid fast staining of the puncture fluid smear, the positive rate [42.9% (18/42)] for bacterial culture of the puncture fluid, and the positive rate [50.0% (21/42)] of pathological examination ( χ2 = 17.20, 7.00, 4.04, P < 0.001, P < 0.01, P = 0.040). The positive rate for sputum smear and bacterial culture was 21.4% (9/33). The positive rate for acid fast staining and bacterial culture of the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid was 28.6% (12/30). The differences were statistically significant ( χ2 = 21.11, 15.43, both P < 0.001). Conclusion:Ultrasound-guided negative pressure aspiration and puncture biopsy of lymph nodes combined with acid fast staining, bacterial culture, and pathological examinations can markedly increase the detection rate and diagnostic rate of mycobacterial infection.

Objective To clone the HnGUA gene from Hirudo nipponia and conduct bioinformatics analysis, protein prokaryotic expression analysis and gene differential expression analysis. Methods Based on the transcriptome data of H.nipponia in the previous study, the full-length cDNA of HnGUA was cloned by rapid amplification of cDNA ends(RACE),and bioinformatics analysis was performed. The prokaryotic expression vector was constructed, transformed into Escherichia coli BL21(DE3)competent cells and the expression of recombinant protein was induced by IPTG.The qPCR was used to further analyze the tissue-specific expression of HnGUA.Results The size of HnGUA gene was 504 bp,containing an open reading frame(ORF)of 231 bp and encoding 76 amino acids. Its protein molecular weight and isoelectric point are 8.17 kDa and 4.44,respectively.Multiple sequence alignment analysis showed that HnGUA was highly homologous to genes in other leech species that encode inhibitory proteins. The results of the prokaryotic expression analysis showed that the constructed pET32a-HnGUA vector could be successfully expressed in E.coli BL21(DE3),and the SDS-PAGE results showed that the induced recombinantly expressed HnGUA protein was around 6 kDa,which was basically consistent with the predicted protein size. The results of the Real-time PCR revealed spatial and temporal differences in the expression profiles of HnGUA,with high levels of expression detected in the skin and crop tissues. Conclusion This study represents the first successful cloning of the HnGUA gene from H.nipponia and the expression of the corresponding recombinant protein in E.coli.It provides a foundation for future exploration of the biosynthetic pathways and molecular regulatory mechanisms of active small anticoagulant molecules in leeches.
