Objective To observe the level changes of interleukin-15 (IL-15) and its role and clinical sig-nificance in severe type B hepatitis(HB). Methods IL-15 levels of 47 cases of severe HB and 20 cases of healthy subjects were detected by ELISA,meanwhile the alanine aminotransferase (ALT),total bilirubin (TBIL) and pro-thrombase activity (PTA) were measured as well. The correlation between IL-15 and ALT,TBIL and PTA were ana-lyzed. Results IL-15 in severe HB eases were higher than in control group [(18.9±7.5 ) ng/L vs. (5.9±2.0) ng/L,P <0.01] ,which was higher in death group than in survival group[(24.1±7.5) ng/L vs. (15.7±5.4) ng/L, P<0.01]. IL-15 level was decreasing with the improvement of general condition and liver function recovery. In addition, IL-15 in severe HB was positively correlated with TBIL (r=0.570,P<0.01) and negatively correlated with PTA(r=-0.529,P<0.01) but was not significantly correlated with ALT(r=0.099,P>0.05). Conclusion IL-15 may take part in the pathogenesis of severe HB ,which is consistent with disease condition and is closely re-lated to the improvement of disease. The detection of IL-15 may exert a predicting role in the prognosis of severe HB.

Objective To provide the anatomic basis of transferring the lobe of parotid gland duct for the treatment of dry eye disease. Methods The first interlobar parotid gland duct and zygomatic branch of facial nerve were dissected and observed on parotid gland region of head and face of 5 (10 sides) of adult head specimens. the measurement data was recorded. Results The length of first interlobar duct of superficial parotid was (37. 51±1. 23) mm, the outside diameter of injected parotid duct was (0. 53±0. 15) mm. There was a close ana-tomical relationship between zygomatic branch of facial nerve and first interlobar duct of parotid gland. Conclusion the parotid interlobar duct transposition operation has the reference value in treatment of dry eye desease.

Purpose To investigate the expression of polo-like kinase 1 (Plk1) and Cyclin B1, p21WAF1in cervical carcinoma, and to determine the relationship between the expression of the three proteins and tumor clinicopathological features. Methods The expres-sion of Plk1, Cyclin B1 and p21WAF1 was detected in 102 cases of cervical carcinoma, 20 cases of (cervical intraepithelial neoplasia, CIN) , and 20 cases of nomal cervical tissues by the technique of tissue chip and immunohistochemical staining of EliVision. Statistical analyses of the data were performed with SPSS 19. 0 software. Results The positive rates of Plk1 in cervical carcinoma and CIN were 70. 5%, 55. 0%, respectively, which were significantly higher than normal cervical tissues (10%) (P<0. 01);The positive rates of Cyclin B1 in cervical carcinoma and CIN were 52. 9% and 30. 0%, respectively, which were significantly higher than normal cervical tissues (10%)(P <0.01); The positive rates of p21WAF1 in cervical carcinoma and CIN were 23.5% and 10.0%, respectively, which were significantly higher than normal cervical tissues ( 0 ) ( P<0. 01 ) . There were no significant differences between cervical carcinoma and CIN in the positive rates of Plk1, Cyclin B1 and p21WAF1. The expression of Plk1 was associated with the depth of carci-noma invasion (P<0. 05), that of Cyclin B1 was associated with lymph node metastases and the depth of carcinoma invasion (P<0. 05)and that of p21WAF1 in cervical carcinoma was associated with histological grade (P<0. 05). In cervical carcinoma, the expres-sion of Plk1 was positively correlated with Cyclin B1 (rs =0. 297, P=0. 002) and negatively correlated with p21WAF1(rs = -0. 403, P<0. 001). Conclusion The expression of Plk1, Cyclin B1 and p21WAF1 is involved in the occurrence and development of cervical carcinoma, and the former two are also related with prognosis of cervical carcinoma. The combination of the three would provide a new target for clinical treatment.

Objective:
To explore the effect of continuing nursing intervention with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) characteristics on mental state and quality of life of empty nest elderly patients with hypertension, and to provide evidence-based theoretical basis for the development of continuing nursing care for empty nest elderly patients with hypertension.
Methods:
Totally 100 cases of empty nest elderly patients with hypertension were randomly divided into study group and control group by random number method, 50 cases in each group; two groups of patients were given regular nursing according to doctor's instructions to adjust blood pressure drugs and hypertension; control group patients were given routine continuing nursing intervention after discharge; study group patients were given traditional Chinese medicine characteristics on the basis of the control group. Sustained nursing intervention; Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) was used to measure the degree of anxiety at admission, discharge and 6 months after discharge. The rate of blood pressure control reaching the standard at admission, discharge and 6 months after discharge and the clinical effect at discharge and 6 months after discharge were compared between the two groups. SF-36 was used to assess the quality of life of the 2 groups at admission, at the time of discharge and 6 months after discharge.
Results:
There was no significant difference in SAS scores between the two groups at admission and discharge (

Journal of Medical Biomechanics 2021;36(6):E862-E868
Objective To investigate the effects of non-Newtonian properties on hemodynamic characteristics of Fontan procedure in computational simulation. Methods A Fontan vascular model was reconstructed based on patient-specific medical images. The boundary conditions were set according to velocity profiles measured by real-time echocardiography. The Newtonian model and two non-Newtonian (Casson and Carreau) models were applied to analyze the hemodynamic parameters, including flow ratio (FR), energy loss (EL), wall shear stress (WSS) as well as non-Newtonian importance factor, so as to compare flow differences between the Newtonian model and non-Newtonian models. Results The rheological models had small effects on the FR. The EL of non-Newtonian models was higher than that of the Newtonian model, and the EL of Casson model was the highest. Flow recirculation and flow disturbance accompanied with low WSS were observed in inferior vena cava (IVC). At low inflow velocity, flow disturbance in IVC of Newtonian model was more obvious. The calculations of non-Newtonian importance factor suggested significant non-Newtonian viscosity in IVC. Conclusions Non-Newtonian viscosity is significant in IVC where low velocity and flow recirculation are observed. Non-Newtonian properties of the blood should be considered in patient-specific hemodynamic simulation of Fontan procedure.
