International Journal of Pediatrics 2014;(4):383-385
With the rapid development of modern technology, some new ideas and equipments have been successfully used to resolve one of worldwide problem- rehabilitation of cerebral palsy. Adeli suit treat-ment,a new technological method, which selects spacesuit as the main equipment of intensive training, now has been tentatively used in the United States and Europe. This article focuses on the principles, methods and efficacy of Adeli suit treatment in order to provide a new rehabilitation method for cerebral palsy.
2.Clinical observation of the protective effects of Shenqi Fuzheng Injection on radiation therapy of nasopharyngeal carcinoma
Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(03):-
AIM: To study the protective effects of Shenqi Fuzheng Injection on radiation therapy of nasopharyngeral carcinoma. METHODS: 58 cases with nasopharyngeal carcioma were selected and divided into 2 groups randomly: 30 cases of treatment group (radiation therapy plus Shenqi Fuzheng Injection) and 28 cases of control group (radiation therapy only). Body weight, Karnofsky score, radioactive stomatitis and change of WBC were compared between the two groups. RESULTS: The rate of increasing and stable performance status(Karnofsky score) of treatment group and control group were 90.0% and 60.7%(P

0.05). Integrin ? 5? 1 was significantly over expressed in lymph node metastatic cancer compared with that in corresponding PGC ( t =2.45, P 0.05) and it showed no correlation with integrin ? 5? 1 expression( r = 0.156, P =0.37).Conclusion Over expression of integrin ? 5? 1 is present in GC and associates with the progression of tumor, implying that it may be viewed as the indicator of invasion and metastasis and the candidate target of gene therapy of gastric cancer. However, integrin ? 5? 1 may not play an important role in the vascularization of GC.

Objective To investigate the distribution regularity of TCM science basic syndrome for multilple sclerosis (MS}. Methods Through retrospective analysis for general data of case 223 patients and the information of TCM diagnosis with the method of case analysis and modem mathematical statistic, the syndrome types of the case collected were established. Results General fatigue, weariness and no desire to speak, quadriplegia, megrim, acroanesthesia and so on, which reflect the main symptoms of MS, with occurrence frequency of above 60 percent. Five basic symptoms: Syndrome of haemostasis blocking collaterals (18.0%), dark purple tongue is the most important factor; Syndrome of dampness-heat blocking collaterals (17.2%), yellow greasy furred tongue is the important factor; Syndrome of yin-asthenia and obstruction of collateral (14.8%), rapid and thining pulse is the important factor; Syndrome of endogenous wind of liver and obstruction of collateral due to wind-phlegm (14.1%), physical convulsion is the important factor; Syndrome of asthenia of both qi and blood, and channel qi unfavorable (35.9%), feeble pulse is the important factor. Conclusion The location of MS is channels and collaterals. The characteristic of MS is haemostasis, moist heat, deficiency of yin and wind-sputum, deficiency of qi and blood. General fatigue, weariness and no desire to speak, quadriplegia, megrim, acroanesthesia and so on are the main characteristics of MS.

Objective To investigate the prevalence and distribution of Yin and Yang deficiency syndrome on different nationalities in different parts of Xinjiang in order to offer epidemiology evidence for the research on the cause of dryness syndrome in northwest China. Methods The questionnaire was designed according to the Chinese medicine theories and the sampling questionnaire investigation in five regions including Hotan Xinjiang and Leshan Sichuan and Shanghai was carried out. Then a computation differentiation of Yin and Yang deficiency syndrome was done for the statistical analysis. Results Totally 5544 questionnaires were accomplished. In the five regions except Urumqi, the incidence of Yin and Yang deficiency syndrome in Xinjiang was higher than that of Shanghai and Sichuan(P
10.Effect of swallowing training combined with acupuncture on dysphagia in nasopharyngeal carcinoma after radiotherapy
Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2006;12(1):58-59
ObjectiveTo evaluated the effect of swallowing training and acupuncture on dysphagia in nasopharyngeal carcinoma after radiotherapy.MethodsThirty-eight post-radiotherapeutic nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients were divided into 2 groups: comprehensive group (n=20) were treated with swallowing training and acupuncture therapy, acupuncture group (n=18) were treated with acupuncture only. The patients were assessed with water-swallow test and videofluoroscopy (VFS) before and after treatment.ResultsBoth groups improved their score of water-swallow test after treatment (P<0.01), but the scores of comprehensive group were better than that of acupuncture group(P<0.05).Under the VFS, the cure rate was 70.0% or 38.9% respectively(P=0.089). ConclusionSwallowing training can improve the swallow ability of bulbar palsy patients.
