Chinese Journal of Microsurgery 2000;0(03):-
Objective This study is to explore the infratentoriat-supracerebellar keyhole approach for microsurgical treatment of pineal region tumors and to evaluate its curative efficacy and safety. Methods According to hi-fi quality MRI images, individual operation schemes were designed.Microsurgical infratentori- al-supracerebellar keyhole approach was used to resect lesions in 7 consecutive patients with prone postition.A 2.0 cm?2.5 cm surgical bone window was performed with its superior margin reaching to the inferior margin of the transverse sinus and confluence sinus. Results Among the 7 pineal region tumors, there were 2 ger- minomas,2 pineocytomas,1 pineoblastoma,1 glioma and 1 chlesteatoma. All cases were re-examined with MRI after operation and it was found that 6 lesions were totally removed and 1 was subtotally removed. The outcome of the treatment was satisfying. There was no infection, bleeding or death after surgery. The follow-up result in the near future was good. Conclusion The infratentorial-supracerebellar keyhole approach for the excision of pineal region tumors was proved to be a satisfactory means with a total removal rate,an excellent curative effect and small surgical trauma.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(09):-
Objective To observe the preventive effect of mannatide on infection and relapse of idiopathic thrombocytopenic purura(ITP).Methods One hundred and twenty children with ITP were randomly divided into mannatide treatment group and prednisone control group.Control group venous dexamethasone of 3 d;then treated by prednisone.Treatment group added mannatide tablets for 1 month. The rates of remission clinical blood, platelet, control time, complicated infection and relapse rates were observed. The levels of plasma immunoglobulin(Ig)G,IgA,IgM were determined before and after mannatide treatment. Results The rate of clinical blood, platelet, control time, infection time was not different in 2 groups. The rates of infection complicated and relapse were all significant lower than that in control group. The plasma IgG,IgA significantly increased than that in control group. The plasma IgM had no significant difference. Conclusion Vaccine therapy can be helpful in protecting and decreasing infection, diminishing relapse of children with ITP,and improve the level of IgG,IgA,and thus improve their immune function.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the occurrence and associated factors for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in rescuers and firefighters.
METHODSThe PTSD of 264 rescuers and firefighters who had participated in rescue was evaluated using the self-designed fireman general situation questionnaire and PTSD Checklist-Civilian Version (PCL-C). The factors associated with the occurrence of PTSD were also analyzed.
RESULTSThe incidence rate of PTSD in the subjects was 8.3%. The PTSD rate of special service corps (12%) was significantly higher than that of other subjects (P<0.05). The incidence of PTSD was highest in the rescuers and firefighters above the third rank, but without significant differences (P>0.05). The PTSD rate of married rescuers and firefighters was significantly higher than that of unmarried subjects (P<0.05). The PTSD rate of subjects addicted to drinking was significantly higher than that of non-drinking subjects (P<0.05). Subjects with more frequent attendance were more susceptible to PTSD compared with those with less attendance.
CONCLUSIONThe incidence rate of PTSD is high in rescuers and firefighters who have attended rescues. It is necessary to implement both short-term and long-term counseling programs for stress management and intervention in order to reduce the psychological trauma after rescue and improve the mental health of rescuers and firefighters.

Objective To investigate the clinical treatment of brucellosis spondylitis (BS) through combination of Mongolian medicine and Western medicine. Methods From December 2010 to June 2015,51 patients which were diagnosed BS at the Department of Brucellosis Hulunbuir People's Hospital were enrolled in this study. After injecting etimicin sulfate and levofloxacin for two weeks, rifampin and doxycycline were administrated orally with Silver pearl pill,Pearl pill and Yunxiang pill (tid) for one treatment cycle which contained three courses of each treatment for 3 weeks. Before and after the treatment, the clinical features and imaging examination results were observed of 2 cases and then followed up for one year. Results Before the treatment, any spinal segment can be affected especially the lumbar spine. Two cases of cervical damage,5 cases of thoracic vertebrae,47 cases of lumbar spine,2 cases of sacral vertebrae, and 39 cases of vertebral abscess were found. After treatment, low back pain symptoms disappeared in 10 cases of the patients.Thirty-nine patients with low back pain symptoms and limited movement. Two patients with low back pain aggravated,MRI examination of the lumbar spine showed lesions increased and abscess formation. The effective rate of Mongolian herbal medicine and Western medicine treatment was 96.1% (49/51).Conclusion The combined treatment of BS through combination of Mongolia medicine and Western medicine is effective.

Background It is well known that tissue factor (TF) is expressed in tumor cells and neovascular endothelial cells of tumor. It plays an important role in the formation of new blood vessels as well as the growth and metastasis of tumor. However, whether TF is expressed or not in choroidal melanoma(CM)is unclear. Objective This study is to investigate the expression of TF in a choroidal melanoma cell line and human choroidal melanoma. Methods The expression of TF was studied in the optimal choroidal melanoma-1 (OCM-1) cell line and ten specimens from CM patients using immunhistochemistry.Ten normal eye specimens from donators were used as controls. Results The TF protein was mainly expressed in the cytoplasm. It is over-expressed in OCM-1 cells with positive rate of 85.33±5.47%.Hyper-expression of TF also was found in human choroidal melanoma with a positive rate of 41.60±14.17%.The integrated optical density (IOD) of positive cells in CM was 33853.67±16445.30,and only 5.65±4.26% of positive cells was found in normal human choroidal tissue. The IOD of TF expression in normal human choroidal tissue was 426.43±316.62.Conclusion The overexpression of TF in CM cells may be a new immunotherapy target for CM treatment.
