2.The status quo of Chinese prevention and treatment of dyslipidemia
Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2003;0(01):-
Although the incidence of dyslipidemia in Chinese population is increasing, the awareness rate, control rate and target rate of dyslipidemia are still low. Many doctors couldn't well understand the dyslipidemia. In order to reduce the incidence and the mortality of coronary disease and stroke, all doctors(especially community physicians)should improve the ability to regulate lipid, pay more attention to non-drug treatment(lifestyle change)and establish reasonable, effective and safe management strategies.
5.The analysis of relationship between uric acid and coronary heart disease
Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University(Medical Sciences) 1982;0(01):-
Objective To study the significance of serum uric acid in predicting coronary heart disease(CHD) risk. Methods Uric acid and its relationship with coronary heart disease(CHD) was analyzed in 215 cases who underwent coronary angiogaphy(CHD was present in 164 patients and absent in 51 as normal control group). Results Uric acid was significantly higher in patients with CHD than that in the normal control group [(316.67?97.35)?mol/L vs.(286.16?98.33)?mol/L,P
6.Evaluation of cardiac function of chronic heart failure with sleep apnea by natriuretic peptides
Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2003;0(08):-
Objective To observe whether sleep apnea ( SA) affects cardiac function in the inpatients with chronic heart failure(CHF), and the relationship of natriuretic peptide level and cardiac function in patients with CHF complicating SA. Methods Sixty-four inpatients with symptomatic CHF were divided into two groups by polysomnography; 36 inpatients with CHF and SA Capnea -hypopnea-index (AHI)≥5 episodes per hour] and 28 CHF inpatients without SA (AHI
7.Clinical study on the hypothesis of "endogenous collateral wind" on acute coronary syndrome
China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(03):-
Objective: To propose the hypothesis of "endogenous collateral wind" based on the pathomechanism of thrombogenesis complicated by ruptured plaque on acute coronary syndrome(ACS) and the theory of traditional Chinese medicine. Methods: Patients of coronary artery disease with successful coronary angiography(CAG) and intravascular ultrasound(IVUS) was made the differential diagnosis such as blood stasis, blood stasis due to phlegm obstruction and endogenous collateral wind. The levels of plasma inflammatory marker were measured to study the charactristic of "endogenous collateral wind".The prescription principle of Luoheng dripping pills was promoting blood circulation to expel wind-evil and remove wetness under guidence of "endogenous collateral wind" hypothesis.Patients with unstable angina were randomly divided into 3 groups based on therapeutic methods:conventional therapy group, luoheng dripping pills group and Tongxinluo capsule group. Results: There were characteristic changes of severity of coronary artery stenosis, the types of ACC/AHA lesion and Levin lesion, remodeling index, positive or negative remodeling percentage measured by IVUS,the plasma levels of plasma inflammatory marker measured by ELLSA in patients with endogenous collateral wind syndrome. The total effective rate of improved angina in luoheng dripping pills group was significantly higher than those in other two groups. The levels of plasma inflammatory marker were significantly lower in luoheng dripping pills group. Conclusion: There were some pathological found of the hypothesis of "endogenous collateral wind" on acute coronary syndrome. It provides the evidences that patients with coronary artery disease were treated with expelling wind-evil and removing wetness.
8.Clinical assessment of policosanol-a new vegetal drug for regulating serum lipid
Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2003;0(01):-
Policosanol is a new drug for regulating lipid, which can inhibit cholesterin synthesis and increase blood clearance of low-density lipoprotein(LDL).It has similar effect as statins and its clinical efficiency, safety and tolerance for special people such as the old and those with hepatopath have been confirmed by many clinical studies.Policosanol combined with statins or fibrates is also safe, which can be used as primary prevention for the patients with hypercholesterinemia, high low-density lipoprotein-cholesterolor low high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol and as secondary prevention for the patients who could not tolerate other lipid-regulating drugs. The long-term clinical effect of Policosanol on the risk factors of atherosclerosis need further researches.
9.Emphasis on prevention and treatment of high blood pressure
Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2001;0(09):-
Hypertension is a highly prevalent cardiovascular risk factor worldwide.Although the treatment of hypertension has been shown to prevent cardiovascular diseases and to extend and enhance life, hypertension remains inadequately managed, especially in developing country, such as China.Hypertension is one of the major causes of current global disease burden and is as prevalent in China as in the developed world.Blood pressure-induced cardiovascular risk rises continuously across the whole blood pressure range.During the past decades, much evidence has become available to support a systolic blood pressure threshold of 140 mmHg for even 'low-risk' patients, and,in high-risk patients there is evidence for lower thresholds.Lifestyle modification is recommended for all individuals and should be taken as the cornerstone of anti-hypertensive schedule.Monotherapy is inadequate for the majority of patients and more than two-thirds patients should receive combined anti-hypertension treatment, with fixed-dose combination being an ideal choice. The situation of blood pressure controlling could be improved if the government is involved in the anti-hypertension program.
10.Clinical cardiology:updates in 2009
Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2001;0(02):-
A series of research achievements have been made in the cardiovascular disease prevention and treatment in 2009.Important trials in the fields of ischemic heart disease, hypertension, heart failure, lipid abnormality, and cardiac arrhythmia have been conducted, which casts new lights on management of cardiovascular diseases. Moreover, some guidelines have been updated and published by authorities based on the new research findings, providing new evidence for management of related diseases.
