Objective: To find out the effect of mineralization condition medium on bone marrow stromal cells(MSCs) proliferation,differentiation and the secretion of extracellular matrix. Methods: MSCs of the third passage were induced by minerlization condition medium (?=10%FBS,10 nmol/L dexamethasone,50 mg/L L-vitamin C and 10 mmol/L ?-sodium glycerophosphate in DMEM). The control cells were cultured in DMEM with ?=10% FBS. The cells were observed by inverted microscope. The proliferation status and alkaline phosphatase level of cells were investigated with MTT assay. Mineralization potential was studied by Von-Kossa staining. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the efficacy and safety of nasal septal suture in septoplasty. METHOD: Sixty patients who had undergone septoplasty were allocated into two groups: packing group and suturing group. Post-operative signs and symptoms (visual analogue scale) were compared between the two groups. RESULT: The patients of packing group experienced significantly more postoperative pain, epiphora, tinnitus, ear fullness, sleep disturbance and nasal congestion(P<0. 05). No statistically significant difference between two groups in hemorrhage (P>0. 05). CONCLUSION Nasal septum continuous suture is a feasible method to replace nasal packing after septoplasty.

[Objective]To investigate the clinical value of different magnetic resonance(MR) pulse sequences in the diagnosis of bone contusion.[Method]Forty-five patients with bone contusion underwent magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).All cases underwent computed radiography(CR),digital radiography(DR)or computed tomography(CT)and no bone fracture were revealed.Complications included swelling、pain and limit activity.The sagittal,coronal and transversal scanning were performed by Siemens Novus1.5T magnetic resonance imaging.The body coil were used on spines and knee coil on knees.MR pulse sequences included spin echo T1WI,Turbo spin echo T2WI,fl-2d T2WI and fat suppressed sequence T2WI.[Result]In 45 cases with bone contusion,44 cases were revealed on spin echo T1WI(97.7%),37 cases on Turbo spin echo T2WI(82.2%),24 cases on fl-2d T2WI(75%),45 cases on fat suppressed sequence T2WI(100%).The fat suppressed sequence T2WI was superior to TSE T2WI(

Objective:To investigate the feasibility of marrow stromal cells/ceramic bovine bone/hydrogel in the repair of autogenous calvarial defects. Objective To observe the effects of low frequency electrical nerve stimulation on sensory and motor functioning in patients with hemiplegia and hemianesthesia caused by acute cerebral infarction.Methods Sixty-one acute cerebral infarction patients with both hemiplegia and hemianesthesia were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group.Thirty patients in the control group received conventional treatment.Thirty-one patients in the treatment group were treated with low frequency electrical stimulation of the peripheral nerves of the affected extremities in addition to the conventional treatment.Sensory function,motor function and performance in the activities of daily living(ADL)were evaluated before and 14 days after treatment.Results Sensory function,motor function and ADL performance in both groups improved significantly over the 14 days.Furthermore,the difference between the two groups after treatment was significant.Conclusion Low frequency electrical nerve stimulation can improve sensory function,motor function and ADL performance in acute cerebral infarction patients with both hemiplegia and hemianesthesia.

Objective To explore the risk factors of coronary artery plaque progression and the clinical indexes that could predict plaque progression. Methods The 142 patients had twice coronary artery angiographs were enrolled in this study. Quantitative coronary angiography (QCA)was performed to evaluate angiographs at baseline and follow-up. Results According to the changes of minimum lumen diameter (MLD) in twice angiographs being or not more than 0.4 mm, the patients were divided into plaque progression group (n=54) and non-plaque progression group (n=88). The incidences of myocardial infarction (MI) and diabetes were significantly higher in plaque progression group than in non-plaque progression group [27.8% vs. 5.7%, 63.0% vs. 36.4%], and the serum levels of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP, 14.5 mg/L vs. 6.3 mg/L) and neutrophil (6.6×109/L vs. 4.3×109/L) were also significantly higher. The incidence of coronary artery plaque progression in patients with high hs-CRP level was 2.52 times higher than in patients with low hs-CRP level, and the incidence in patients with myocardial infarction was 3.98 times as much as patients without MI. Conclusions The hs-CRP and myocardial infarction were the independent risk factors for coronary artery plaque progression.

Objective: To investigate the effect of ceramic bovine bone (CBB) combined with hydrogel complex (CBB/HG), ?-tricalcium phosphate (?-TCP) combined with hydrogel complex(?-TCP/HG) on the osteogenesis of bone marrow stromal cells (MSCs) in vitro. Methods: MSCs(induced by 50 mg/L ascorbic acid,10 -8 mol/L dexamethasone and 0.01 mol/L ?-sodium glycerylphosphate) were cultured on CBB/HG , ?-TCP/HG,CBB and ?-TCP respectively. 5 and 10 days after set up, marrow stromal cell attachment and morphology were observed by scanning electronic microscope, the proliferation of the cells was evaluated by cell counting, Alkaline phosphatase(ALP) activity was tested,typeⅠcollagen synthesis were examined by immunohistochemistry stainning. Results: On day 5 and 10 the marrow stromal cells on CBB/HG and on ?-TCP/HG were significantly more than those on CBB or ?-TCP. TypeⅠcollagen synthesis and ALP activity of the cells on CBB/HG and ?-TCP /HG were not different but significantly higher than those on CBB or ?-TCP. Conclusion: CBB/HG and ?-TCP /HG may stimulate bone marrow stromal cell proliferation, differentiation and extracellular matrix synthesis.

40 cases of parotidectomy were reviewed.Anterograde approach(group A)and retrograde approach(group B)for facial nerve dissection were used in 1 7 and 23 cases respectively.1 patients in group A and 8 in group B presented symptoms of temporary facial nerve paralysis(P <0.05).The anterograde method is safer and quicker.

Objective To establish the solid phase extraction (SPE) with GC/MS technology for fish poi-soning cases to determine five pesticides in fishpond. Methods By three solid phase extraction column including Oasis HLB cartridge, Bond Elut C18 and SampliQ C18, the recovery rate was compared to ex-tract and purify five pesticides in fishpond. The effects of different kinds and dosages of eluents on ex-tract rate were also reviewed. Results Using Bond Elut C18 as solid phase extraction column and 3 mL benzene as eluent, the linear range of mass concentration of five pesticides in fishpond was 1-50 μg/mL, and the correlation coefficient was 0.996 2-0.999 6. The limit of detection was 3.4-26 μg/L and the re-covery was 61.49%-102.48%. The relative standard deviations was less than or equal to 3.01%. Conclu-sion With high sensitivity, good accuracy and precision, SPE -GC/MS has simple and quick operation and less solvent. It can be applied to determination of five pesticides in fishpond.

Objective To investigate the clinical effects of transurenthral resection of muscleinvasive bladder tumor (TURBT) in senile. Methods This study was clinical prospective random research.46 senile cases with muscle-invasive bladder cancer treated by TURBT was divided into 2 groups:control group and observed group.The observed group was treated with TURBT combined with intravesical instillation of pirarubi 30 mg immediately after TURBT,the bladder wall around tumor was resected thoroughly.The control group underwent radical cystectomy and pelvic lymph node dissection. Results The clinical improvement rate was higher in observed group than control group (85.7％ s.63.6％,X2 =5.3008,P=0.021).There was not difference in 3 years recurrence rate between observed group(25.0％) and control group(13.6％) (x2 =S.3008,P＞0.05).The 1 year survival rate were 95.8％,90.9％ and 3 years survival rate were 79.2％,72.7％ in observed group and control group,respectively,and there were no differences between the two groups(X2 =0.262,P=0.609). Conclusions TURBT combined with intravesical instillation of pirarubi can enhance clinical effect and reduce recurrence rate in the treatment of the elderly with muscle-invasive bladder cancer.
