Objective To evaluate the application value of hip joint traction device in treating serious developmental dysplasia of the hip. Methods From April 2006 to October 2008, 6 cases Crowe Ⅳ hip dysplasia and 1 case dysplasia of acetabulum in coxa vara underwent arthroplasty. There were 2 males and 5 females with an average age of 30 years (range, 12-45). All patients were admitted to the hospital for the distraction, which was 1.0-2.0 cm on the first day and 1 mm/d thereafter, until slowly pulling femur head to the real acetabulum. Changing to the skin distraction with 3 kg, arthroplasty was performed after pin sites healing. Results Seven femur heads of 5 cases and two greater trochanters of 1 case were pulled into the real acetabulum, average distraction length was 4.45 cm, and average time was 43 d, no nerve injury and infection of pin sites. Soft tissue release and femur shortening were not required in arthroplasty. One case accelerated pulling speed to 1.25 mm/d when left femur head was distracted to 6.0 cm, so that the partial left deep peroneal nerve injury happened after 12 h. Ending distraction, bilateral THA was undergone by stages and femur shortening 3 cm in operation, nerve injury restored after half year. All patients were followed up for average 2.5 years (range, 1.5-3.0). In all patients, two limb lengths were equal, middle gluteal muscle myodynamia improved about 1-2 grades. The mean Harris hip score improved from 56.2 to 92.2 one year after operation. Conclusion The hip joint traction device could pulled femoral head to the real acetabulum rotating center, as a result, femur shortening and soft tissue release were not required while performing arthroplasty, and through which wound and operative time were decreased, middle gluteal muscle function was improved. However, we should strictly pulled the femur head at 1 mm/d to avoid nerve injury.

Objective To observe the effects of ankle intensive training on the recovery of lower limbs motor in stroke patients in later stage of rehabilitation. Methods 30 stroke patients with course ≥ 3 months were divided into the treatment group (n=15) and control group (n=15). The control group received routine treatment, and the treatment group received ankle intensive training in addition. They were assessed with Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA) of lower extremity and 10 m walking speed. Results The scores of FMA and 10 m walking speed improved in both groups after treatment (P<0.05), and improved more in the treatment group than in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Ankle intensive training can promote the motor recovery of lower limbs in later stroke patients

Objective To summarize the experience in the diagnosis and treatment of symptomatic splanchnic artery dissection. Methods A total of 21 patients with symptomatic splanchnic artery dissection, who were admitted to the Affiliated First Hospital of China Medical University during the period from June 2006 to March 2014, were included in this study. Combined with the literature, the clinical data, including the diagnosis and treatment, were analyzed. Results Contrast-enhanced abdominal CT and CT angiography revealed superior mesenteric artery dissection in 15 cases, celiac artery dissection in 5 cases and splenic artery dissection in one case. Conservative therapy was employed in 5 patients; among them one was complicated with hepatic artery thrombosis. Of the 16 patients who received endovascular stent placement, additional intestinal resection was performed in 2 and transcatheter thrombolysis treatment in other 2. No procedure-related severe complications occurred in perioperative period. All the patients were followed up for 2-74 months (mean of 19.1 months). In patients who received endovascular stent placement, the abdominal pain and the bloody stool were relieved or disappeared, and no abdominal pain recurred. CT angiography showed that in-stent blood flow was fluent, the stent was in good position, and neither stenosis nor thrombosis was observed. One patient with superior mesenteric artery dissection died of stroke three months after the treatment. Conclusion It is very important to make early diagnosis and to adopt early treatment for symptomatic splanchnic artery dissection. CT angiography can confirm the diagnosis in most cases, but attention should be paid to some atypical manifestations. For the treatment of splanchnic artery dissection, endovascular stent placement is mini-invasive, safe and reliable.

The O152 antigens of Escherichia coli contains a Glc-β-1,3-GlcNAc linkage within the repeating unit. The wfgD gene in E. coli O152 O antigen gene cluster had been demonstrated utilizing NMR technique to encode a glucosyltransferase which is responsible for the synthesis of Glc-β-1,3-GlcNAc linkage. In this study, a synthetic substrate analog of the natural acceptor substrate undecaprenol-pyrophosphate-lipid [GlcNAc-α-PO_3-PO_3-(CH_2)_(11))-O-phenyl]) was used as an acceptor and UDP-Glc as a donor substrate, and electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry(ESI-MS-MS) was used for the detailed structural characte-)rization) of the enzyme product. A systematic study was conducted on product to allow rationalization of the fragmentation) processes. The major fragments observed in the ESI-MS-MS spectra result from cleavage of glycosidic) bond and diphosphate moiety. The fragment originating from the nonreducing end of the product yields information on sequence). Cross-ring cleavages, which are very informative of the linkages of the monosaccharide residues constituting) the product, and "internal" cleavage ions which are derived from elimination of substituents from around) the pyranose ring, were also observed. This extensive fragmentation was shown that the expected Glc-β-1,3-GlcNAc linkage in the product, confirming that wfgD is in the form of UDP-Glc: GlcNAc-pyrophosphate-lipid β-1,3-glucosyltransferase.)

Objective:To explore the epidemiological characteristics and clinical outcomes of patients diagnosed with novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pneumonia (NCP), and to provide clinical reference for subsequent epidemic prevention and control. Methods:The pathogenesis, clinical characteristics and clinical outcomes of 62 patients with imported novel coronavirus COVID-19 pneumonia in Qingdao area from January 21, 2020 to April 6, 2020 were analyzed. Results:There were 24 males and 38 females, aged from 5 to 91 (52.5±15.7)years. Among them, 31 cases (31/62, 50%) were family cluster disease, 11 cases (17.74%) were nosocomial cross infection, 14 cases (22.58%) came back from Wuhan to Qingdao and community contact infection, and 6 cases (9.68%) were imported from abroad. The longest time from fever to diagnosis was 26 days. Clinical classification: 40 cases were mild, 13 were general, 7 were severe, 2 were critically ill. 61 cases were discharged from hospital, and 1 was dead. The clinical cure rate was 98.39%. The average stay was (18.5±4.8)days. All patients were treated combined with Chinese medicine on the basis of symptomatic treatment. Conclusions:The clinical symptoms of imported NCP are relatively mild, and mild cases were more, the recovery rate was higher. The intervention strategy of traditional Chinese medicine is conducive to rehabilitation. The external input cases and symptomless infected patients are important for epidemic situation in the future.

Objective To prepare the long-circulating liposomes of paraoxonase(PON).Methods The long-circulating liposomes of paraoxonase were prepared by film dispersion method. The encapsulation efficiency was determined by gel column. The effects of the factors on the encapsulation efficiency, such as the weight ratio of paraoxonase to phospholipid, cholesterol(Choi) to phospholipid,PEG-cholesterol (PEG-Chol) and the iron strength of water phase, were investigated respectively. Then the formulation was optimized by orthogonal design. Results The encapsulation efficiency of the paraoxonase liposomes was 87.66±3.46%,and the average diameter of the liposomes was about 126 nm.There was no significant change on encapsulation efficiency on 15 d at 4 ℃,and the activity of paraoxonase was maintained basically stable. Conclusion The preparation of PEG-modified paraoxonase liposomes was easy and practicable, and the property investigation in vitro showed that the paraoxonase liposomes were stable.
