OBJECTIVE: To investigate the therapeutic effects of coblation treatment via endoscopy in epiglottic benign tumors. METHOD: Retrospective analysis was carried out in 128 patients with epiglottic benign tumors who underwent coblation treatment via endoscopy. The complications and therapeutic effect were analyzed. RESULT: The effective rate of treatment was 100% in cyst of epiglottis and in papillary epithelioma, and was 96.36% in hypertrophy of lingual tonsils. The pseudomembrane 1 w after operation. Postoperative pain is slight. There were no complications such as dyspnea, bleeding and infection. CONCLUSION Radio frequency coblation via endoscopy will be applicable in the therapy of epiglottic benign tumors.

In order to show the social situation and public opinions for the decision-makers of medical reform, the viewpoints of main media, NPC and PCC members, and Internet users were analyzed according to the real-time monitoring data of public opinions on health-related topics ( new rural cooperative medical system, basic public health service, and rural medical workers) during the NPC and PCC, which showed the public awareness of health reform in grass-roots units of China.

The medical and health reform at grass-root level was monitored during the NPC and CPPCC from 2015-2017 . Objective:To assess the clinical utility of a fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH) assay as a non-invasive method for diagnosing and monitoring urothelial carcinoma(UC) in the upper urinary tract(UUT).Methods:Urine specimens from 63 consecutive patients with UUT-UC and 69 controls with benign disease were analyzed by means of cytology and FISH.For FISH analysis,labeled probes specific for chromosomes 3,7,and 17 and for the p16(9p21) gene were used to assess chromosomal abnormalities indicative of malignancy.Sensitivity and specificity of both techniques were determined and compared.The frequency of chromosomal aberrations of malignant cells from UUT-UC was also determined.Results:Of 63 patients with UUT-UC,FISH affords an overall sensitivity of 84.1%(53/63),the figure being 71.4%(20/28)for PTa and PT1 tumors,94.3%(33/35) for PT2-4 tumors.The sensitivities of urine cytology were 35.7%(10/28)for PTa and PT1 tumor,45.7%(16/35)for PT2-4 tumors,with an overall sensitivity of 41.3%(26/63).The sensitivities of the two methods for the low grade tumors were 80%(20/25)and 44%(11/25),and for high grade tumors were 86.8%(33/38)and 39.5%(15/38),respectively.Specificities for FISH and urine cytology were 91.3%(63/69)and 94.2%(65/69)respectively.Conclusion:According to the results,the sensitivity of FISH for the detection of UUT-UC is superior to that of urine cytology and the specificities of FISH and urine cytology are not significantly different.FISH can promote the diagnosis of UUT-UC,especially for the low stage and low grade cases,it may be a new promising non-invasive method for the diagnosis of UUT-UC.

ObjectiveIn order to provide reliable sufficient information for making a policy to develop Emergency Departments in Chinese Medical Hospitals, a countrywide investigation on current situations of such departments was carried out.Methods Firstly, questionnaires which could be responded by filling out on line and paper were made respectively. The Departments of Emergency in 300 Chinese Medical Hospitals widely distributed in 27 provinces of China (municipalities directly under the central government) with technique level 2 or above were observed in this study by Red Cap database or Email.Results All together 280 questionnaires were sent out, and 200 questionnaires were responded. The information from 200 emergency departments of Chinese medical hospitals in 24 provinces was collected, the recovery rate being 71.42%. The investigative results were as follows: ① All Chinese medical hospitals involved in this study were equipped with an independent emergency department. The average occupation of ground area, numbers of ward beds and ambulances in these emergency departments were 713.6 m2, 18.93 and 2.81 respectively, and 75.8% of the hospitals were of the first aid local network units.② There were 26 emergency departments having internal, surgical, women and children emergency clinics, 83 hospitals had internal and surgical emergency clinics only, and in 91 hospitals there was no any special clinic in emergency department. In addition, only did 81 hospitals have intensive care units (ICU).③ The number of clinicians was 11.86±9.28 on average, and 26 hospitals even had no emergency specialists. In 39 hospitals, there were no emergency clinicians with high rank title, most of these clinicians had bachelor or master's degree, and only did 30 hospitals have emergency clinicians with PhD degree.④ The annual average patient admitted in emergency departments of these hospitals was 2.36 thousand cases, including 1197.38 rescue ones. The clinicians who could accomplish abdominocentesis and thoracentesis independently were accounting for 90.7% and 89.0%, respectively, 8.2% hospitals could carry out percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), and more than 70% hospitals already had the emergency green channel.⑤ About 93.5% hospitals had established a management system of medical quality control, and 89.0% hospitals had already had a medical quality control group.⑥ 65.5% hospitals had assessment index of Utilization rate of traditional Chinese Medicine, and 52.5%hospitals routinely conducted discussions on cases treated primarily by Chinese medicine (CM).Conclusions The development levels of emergency departments of all Chinese medical hospitals involved are very uneven, on which more attention should be paid. The enhanced investment is required to construct the emergency clinics and improve medical techniques in order to meet the growing need of the first aid in our society.

This study was to evaluate the cellular inhibition effects induced by anti-AGR2 monoclonal antibody 18A4 in two AGR2-negative melanoma cells, A375 and B16-F10, treated with external oncoprotein AGR2. MTT assay and colony formation assay were performed to detect the cell proliferation rate. Flow cytometry analysis was performed to evaluate cell cycle transition. Cell migration rate was analyzed by wound healing assay. Cell morphological changes were detected by phalloidin staining. The expression of p53 was detected by Western blotting and immunofluorescence. Results showed that 18A4 inhibited the AGR2-dependent tumor properties including enhanced proliferation, accelerated cell cycle, increased cell migration and morphological changes of cells. In addition, by Western blot analysis and immunofluorescence, AGR2 blocking antibody 18A4 also restored p53 expression that was repressed by external AGR2 treated by chemotherapeutic drug doxorubicin. These findings suggest that 18A4 is able to inhibit the cellular tumorigenic properties induced by external AGR2 and is a potential drug against fumor.

Objective: To understand the prevalence rate of pre myopia among preschoolers and its associated factors, so as to provide a basis for the formulation of myopia prevention and control policies. Methods: In May 2022, a tatol of 1 070 preschoolers in the Science City Area of Mianyang City were selected by using a cluster sampling method. The visual acuity of preschool children was obtained through refractive examination, and a questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate associated factors of myopia in the preclinical stage by Chi square test and multivariate Logistic regression analysis. Results: The prevalence rate of pre myopia in preschoolers was 67.01%, including 66.30% for boys and 67.76% for girls. There was no significant difference by sex( χ 2=0.26, P > 0.05). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that at least one parent with myopia, too much near work activities, time spent on outdoor activity <2 h per day, lack of sleep, and screen time ≥1 h per day were positively correlated with the occurrence of pre myopia( OR =1.62, 1.46, 1.46, 1.38, 1.53, P <0.01). Conclusion The prevalence of pre myopia among preschool children in Science City Area is high. It is suggested that parents, kindergartens and relevant departments should pay attention to the visual status of preschoolers, increase outdoor activities, ensure adequate sleep and train preschoolers to develop scientific eye hygiene habits.

Objective To establish a cell line stably expressing the human CD36 by using TA clo-ning and cell transfection technology and to analyze its application to the detection of anti-CD36 antibodies. Methods Total RNA was isolated from human platelets and then used to synthesize complementary DNA ( cDNA) . Sequence of the gene encoding CD36 on human platelets was obtained by PCR amplification. The recombinant vector was transformed into TOP10 E. coli after TA cloning. The positive recombinant pcDNA3. 1/V5-CD36 plasmid was screened out by blue-white selection and then sequenced. The correctly constructed plasmid coated with Effectene? Transfection Reagent was transferred into HEK293T cells. Fluo-rescence-activated cell sorting was performed to screen out the cell line that could stably express the CD36 on human platelets. The transfected cell line-based flow cytometry analysis and antibody capture assay ( ACA) were established and used for antibody detection in nine serum samples positive for anti-CD36 antibodies. Results The HEK293T cell line stably expressing the recombinant CD36 was successfully established. Compare with the monoclonal antibody immobilization of platelet antigens assay ( MAIPA) , anti-CD36 anti-bodies could be easily identified in nine serum samples by using the transfected cell line-based flow cytome-try analysis and ACA. Conclusion This study suggests that the HEK293T cells stably expressing the re-combinant CD36 could be used in flow cytometry analysis and ACA for the detection of anti-CD36 antibod-ies. It also paves the way for further researches on the mechanism of CD36 in other diseases.
