Methods In the weak acid solution containing n-butyl alchhol, trace chromium (Ⅵ) in the water connected with diphenylcarbazide and sodium dodecyl sulfate into purplish red ternary iron compound, which could be extracted by chloroform and quantified at wavelength of 550 nm. Results The detection limit was 0.001 mg/L,the RSDs were 1.1%-1.4% and the recovery rate was 96%-113%. Conclusion The method was rapid, simple and the sensitivity and accuracy will meet the requirement of standard test methods for drinking water.

Objective To develop a rapid determination method of nitrate-N in water. Methods In concentrated sulfuric acid,2-isopropyl-5-methyphenol reacts on nitrate and produces the nitro-compound which may turn into the yellow compound in the alkaline solution for the moleculars rearrange. The content of nitrate-N in water can be calculated according to the absorption value at the wave length of 415 nm.Results A good linear relation was found between the concentrations of nitrate-N and the absorption values in the range of 0-15.0 mg/L.The lowest determination concentration was 0.25 mg/L,the recovery rates were 96%-108% and RSD was 1.6%-4.0%.The results were consistent with those determined by UV spectrophotometry. Conclusion The method was simple, sensitive, rapid and accurate.

Objective To establish a rapid determination method for sulfate in water. Methods In the weak acid solution, sulfate connected with barium chromate into sulfate barium and chromate. Surplus barium chromate precipitated when adding the mixture of CaCl2 and NH3?H2O. The chromate replaced by sulfate was detected at wave length of 420 nm. Results The RSDs were 1.8%-6.8% and the recovery rates were 98.9%-101.0%. Conclusion The method was rapid, simple and its sensitivity and accuracy can meet the requirement of standard examination methods for drinking water.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1982;0(01):-
By inflicting the hindlimbs of dogs with steel bullets in different velocities, a model of traumatic stress was reproduced. The contents of myelin basic protein (MBP) and endothelin 1 (ET1) in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) were determined with ELISA and radioimmunoassay methods, and the wltrastructural changes in limbic system were studied with neuropathological techniques. The MBP level and ET1 contents increased markedly in CSF, and neuronal degeneration and nerve fiber demyelination were seen in the hypothalamus and hippocampus in high speed missile group. The results indicate that the hypothalamus and hippocampus were vulnerable in severe injury of remote tissues, and it might be one of the important neuropathological basis for changes in the early stage of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The results also suggested that the CSF MBP and CSF ET1 determinations might serve as sensitive indicators for central nervous system damage in stress disorder following severe injury.

AIM: To investigate the protective effect of rifampicin on rotenone-induced apoptosis of dopaminergic neurons and expression of ?-synuclein in rats.METHODS: Highly selective lesions and high expression of ?-synuclein in nigrostriatal dopaminergic neurons in rats were induced by chronic subcutaneous exposure to rotenone at dose of 1.5 mg?kg-1?d-1 for 3 weeks. At the same time, rifampicin was administered at dose of 30 mg?kg-1?d-1 by intragastric administration for 3 weeks. The changes of behavior, pathology and immunoreactivity of TH and ?-synuclein in SNc were observed.RESULTS: Obvious changes of behavior, pathology and TH immunoreactivity in SNc were observed in male SD rats injected subcutaneously with rotenone and rifampicin protected rats against these toxic effects induced by rotenone.CONCLUSION: Rifampicin has extensive protective effects against rotenone-induced neurotoxicity, which is related to inhibiting the expression and aggregation of ?-synuclein.

Objective To investigate the value of combination of B-flow imaging and spatio-temporal image correlation in prenatal diagnosis of congenital heart diseases. Methods Volume images of 50 normal fetuses and 14 fetuses with congenital heart diseases were recruited in the study. Surface mode was used to reconstruct the volume images. Results Sixty-three and twenty-six qualified volume images were obtained in 50 normal fetuses and 14 fetuses with congenital heart diseases respectively. All volume images were reconstructed successfully and showed the spacial relationship of cardiac blood vessel directly. Conclusions The combination of B-flow imaging and spatio-temporal image correlation was feasible and useful in prenatal diagnosis of congenital heart diseases.

Objective To assess the reliability and validity of the Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) .Methods The cross-sectional survey was conducted in the outpatient department of this hospital .544 insomnia and non-insomnia voluntary participants (18-65 years old) from July to October 2011 were assessed with PSQI and the insomnia severity index (ISI) ,which were randomly delivered to them .Results The test-retest reliability of PSQI was 0 .994 .The split-half reliability coefficient of PSQI was 0 .824 . The overall Cronbach′s alpha coefficient was 0 .845 .The confirmatory factor analysis showed that the fitting indicators for the χ2/df ,root mean square error of approximation(RMSEA) ,non-normed fit index(NNFI) ,comparative fit index(CFI) and goodness-of-fit index(GFI) were 4 .83 ,0 .09 ,0 .96 ,0 .98 and 0 .97 respectively .The correlation coefficient between the PSQI and ISI was 0 .842 . The correlations coefficients between PSQI with the questionnaire type ,interview date and interview department were -0 .046 , 0 .276 and -0 .331 .Grouping by individuals with or without insomnia ,the area under the receiver operator characteristic curve (ROC) for PSQI was 0 .944(95% CI:0 .925-0 .963) .Conclusion PSQI has good reliability and validity ,and could be used for the sleep quality comprehensive evaluation in the patients with insomnia .

Yang-palm, through early systematic Zhan-zhuang training to raise qi, pats the affected area to extract pathological product outer surface using the distal of 2-5 fingers in palm dorsal. This therapy emphasizes infusing qi and extract silt. The treatment continues when pathological product scatters and disappears, so the short-term and long-term efficacy is significant, and especially suitable for the treatment of TCM arthralgia. This article introduced the clinical therapy in treating two rheumatism patients by Yang-palm, explained process and study method of Yang-palm therapy, and shared treatment experience and explored the basic principles of treatment, with a purpose to provide a new treatment for rheumatism.

OBJECTIVE To explore study a method for rapid detection of bacterial infection in clinic to diagnose septicemia early.METHODS 16S rRNA gene of ten bacterial species was amplified with PCR,by using human genome DNA,HBV-DNA and Candida albicans as comparison. The sensitivity test was done by the method of gradual dilution of Escherichia coli.RESULTS The bacterial species were amplified and the products were 371 bp,but human genome DNA,HBV-DNA and C.albicans showed no amplification products.Sensitivity test showed that it could detect as low as 1.5?104/L of E.coli.CONCLUSIONS The method is rapid and highly specific and sensitive in detecting the existence of bacterial 16S rRNA gene.
