Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of fire needling plus moxibustion in treating prurigo nodularis. Methods Ninety patients with prurigo nodularis were randomly allocated to treatment and control groups, 45 cases. The treatment group received fire needling plus moxibustion and the control group, external application of halometasone ointment. Skin lesions and pruritus were scored in the two groups before and after treatment. The clinical therapeutic effects were compared between the two groups. Results There were statistically significant pre-/post-treatment differences in the skin lesion score and the pruritus score in the two groups (P<0.01,P<0.05). There were statistically significant post-treatment differences in the skin lesion score and the pruritus score between the treatment and control groups (P<0.01). The total efficacy rate was 81.8% in the treatment group and 60.5% in the control group; there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05).Conclusion Fire needling plus moxibustion is an effective way to treat prurigo nodularis.

Objective To study the expression of CDK4 andβ-Catenin and their relevance in glioma. Methods We used immunohistochemistry to detect the expression of CDK4 andβ-Catenin in forty-five glio-ma tissues and eight normal tissues.According to the classification standard of WHO in 2000 classify and grade the tissues.Results There were significant differences of CDK4 andβ-Catenin expressions between normal tis-sues and glioma tissues(P<0.01).The expression of CDK4 and β-Catenin had positive correlation with the pathological grades of glioma and histological type and increased(P <0.05).Furthermore,the expression of CDK4 was positively correlated with the expression ofβ-Catenin in glioma(r=0.52,P<0.01).Conclusion The increased expression of CDK4 andβ-Catenin may have correlation with malignant change of glioma and oc-curance of glioblastoma,and their combination is expected to become an important indicator in assessing malignant glioma.

Objective Through the research on relationship between achievement motive and personality traits,to provide the basis theory of personality attributes for selecting outstanding medical professional scientifically and effectively,and give some advice for improving medical education mode.Method The 310 medical staffs in sample hospital were treated as the research object in October 2015,who were randomly investigated with the big five personality questionnaire and achievement motivation scale,among of which,valid questionnaires were 290 copies leading to 93.5％ effective rate.SPSS 17.0 software was used to make t test,Chi-square analysis and correlation analysis for the data of the recover valid questionnaires.Result ①Personality traits of friendliness and rigor of the medical staffs of different gender exist statistically significant difference (t=-7.39,P=0.00;t=-8.28,P=0.00) and there were significant differences in the openness and rigor of medical staffs of different gender (P＜0.05).②The achievement motivation level of male medical staffs was higher than that of female (P=0.00),and there was no significant difference in achievement motivation among medical staffs.③The personality trait of neuroticism was negatively correlated with the pursuit of success and achievement motivation (correlation coefficient was-1.24),while the achievement motivation was positively related to extraversion and openness and the pursuit of success (the correlation coefficients were 1.51 and 1.53).Conclusion There is a significant correlation between personality traits and achievement motivation.The more extroverted personality medical staffs have,the more easy-going they are,and the more the pursuit of success oriented achievement motivation they have;and the higher the neurotic tendency individuals have,the more they incline to avoid failure of achievement motivation.

Recent studies showed that copy number variations in certain genes are closely correlated to progression and prognosis of pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Relevant reports in the 57th American Society of Hematology(ASH) annual meeting in 2015 will be reviewed together with research progress in recent years.

Objective To investigate the application of a self-made positioning device in CT-MRI image fusion in patients with laryngeal tumor,as well as the precision of image fusion and the changes in target volume delineation after fusion.Methods A total of 10 patients with laryngeal cancer were enrolled,and a self-made positioning device was used to collect CT and MRI images in a fixed position.These images were fused by mutual information combined with manual fusion.The precision of image fusion was assessed by the positional deviation of internal and external markers and degree of gross tumor volume (GTV) overlap (PCT-MRI) between CT and MRI images.GTV was contoured based on CT images (VCr),MRI images (VMRI),and fused images (VCT+MRI).The overlapped volume of VCT and VMRI(VCT-MRI) Was calculated,and the target volume was analyzed and compared.Results The positional deviations of three external markers in the three directions were 0.996±0.222 mm,1.146±0.291 mm,and 1.368±0.298 mm (P=0.000),respectively,while those of the internal markers were 0.476±0.151 mm,0.561±0.083 mm,and 0.724± 0.125 mm (P=0.000),respectively.VCT,VMRI,VCT+MRI,and VCT-MRI were 26.355±7.876 cm3,33.556± 7.407 cm3,40.036±7.627 cm3,19.875±8.588 cm3(P=0.000),respectively.PCT-MRI was 73.7％±9.8％.Conclusions The self-made positioning device can improve the consistency of position during the collection of CT and MRI images,and fused CT-MRI images can provide more information and improve the precision of target volume delineation.

An automated analytical method for simultaneous determination of vitamin A and E in livers, fortified infant formulae and eggs has been developed based on on-line solid phase extraction (SPE) coupled with a dual gradient high performance liquid chromatography system with column-switching. Firstly, food samples were centrifuged after saponified in mixture solution of anhydrous alcohol, potassium hydroxide and ascorbic acid at 80 ℃ for 30 min. Secondly, the saponified sample was loaded and washed on the first dimension extraction column using methanol-water (60∶40, V/V). Afterwards, the targeted analytes were trapped and enriched on the SPE column. Finally, the trapped analytes were transferred to the second dimension analysis column by valve-switching technique for the following separation and determination. Several key factors such as the type of SPE columns, elution buffer as well as pH of washing solution were optimized. The results showed that the calibration curves of vitamin A and E were linear in the range of 0 . 02-20 mg/L with correlation coefficient (R2) more than 0. 9998. In addition, the limits of detection (S/N=3) were found in the range of 3. 0-30. 0 μg/L. The spiked recoveries of the vitamin A and E from livers, eggs and fortified infant formulae ranged from 87 . 3% to 115 . 0% with the relative standard deviations ( RSDs ) of 1 . 8% -4 . 6%. The developed method is simple, sensitive and rapid to determine vitamins A and E in animal derived food.

Objective To study the effect of three different modes of non-invasive positive pressure ventilation on cardiac indices of premature infants with respiratory distress syndrome (RDS).Method From January 2014 to October 2015,preterm infants who had RDS received intubation-pulmonary surfactantextubation in the neonatal intensive care unit of the Hospital were randomly assigned (by random number table) to three groups based on the primary mode of ventilation:nasal continuous positive airway pressure (NCPAP),bi-level positive airway pressure (BiPAP),and synchronized bi-level positive airway pressure (SBiPAP).The mean airway pressure (MAP) were about 6 cmH2O in the three groups.The level of plasma B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP),cardiac troponin Ⅰ (cTnI),and correct QT intervals dispersion (QTcd) were monitored before and 42-54 h after non-invasive ventilation.Result There were 173 cases in our study,59 of which in NCPAP group,56 in BiPAP group,and 58 in SBiPAP group.The plasma BNP level at 42-54 h after non-invasive ventilation in the three groups were all higher than that before non-invasive ventilation [NCPAP group:(247.9 ± 137.9) ng/L vs.(182.5 ± 1 10.7) ng/L,P =0.007;BiPAP group:(258.5 ± 131.2) ng/L vs.(182.6 ± 105.0) ng/L,P ＜ 0.001;and SBiPAP group:(260.9 ± 159.7) ng/L vs.(177.5 ± 101.5) ng/L,P =0.002].After 42-54 h non-invasive ventilation,there were no significant changes of plasma cTnI level and QTcd in all the three groups (all P ＞ 0.05).The level of plasma BNP,cTnI,and QTcd among the three groups before and after 42-54 h non-invasive ventilation all showed no significant differences statistically (all P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion Longer duration (42-54 h) of non-invasive positive pressure ventilation (MAP:6 cmH2O) in preterm infants with RDS may lead to increased plasma BNP level,and may affect their cardiac function.However,it may not lead to serious myocardial damage and abnormality of ventricular repolarization.There were no significant differences in cardiac indices of premature infant with RDS among NCPAP,BiPAP,and SBiPAP group with the same MAP.

BACKGROUNDRecently a number of preclinical studies have sparked interest in the concept of exploiting conventional chemotherapeutic drugs as antiangiogenics. Such antiangiogenic activity is achieved by metronomic-dosing (low-dose) protocols. This new target may have some advantages in avoiding toxicity and resistance caused by chemotherapeutic drugs. This study is to test the efficacy of continuous low-dose cyclophosphamide (CTX) for antiangiogenic effect on Lewis lung carcinoma, and investigate its antitumor effect and toxicity.

METHODSC57/BL6 mice bearing Lewis lung carcinoma were randomly divided into three groups, receiving low-dose metronomic (LDM) CTX, maximum tolerated dose (MTD) CTX therapy and saline respectively. Tumor growth, weight loss, peripheral white blood cell counts and survival of mice were monitored in each group. At the end of experiment, tumors were resected for immunohistochemical staining. Tumor microvascular density (MVD) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) level were detected by immunohistochemical staining.

RESULTSMVD and VEGF expression of tumors were much lower in the mice received LDM CTX therapy than those in control group and MTD CTX group (P < 0.05). During the experiment, growth delays of tumor were found in the mice received LDM CTX therapy, without apparent body weight loss or leukopenia, and the survival of mice was remarkably prolonged, compared with mice received MTD CTX therapy (P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONSThe continuous low-dose regimen of CTX can significantly increase the therapeutic activity with decreased toxicity and prolonged animal survival for lung cancer. It may act as an antiangiogenic and lead to less drug resistance.

Objective To investigate the utilization and satisfaction of family doctor service among contract-signing residents in Beijing urban area,and the related influencing factors.Methods Total 740 contract-signing residents visiting community health service centers of two urban districts in Beijing from June to September of 2015 were selected with purposive sampling as study subjects.All participants completed a questionnaire survey on the utilization and satisfaction of the service provided by family doctors.The influencing factors related to satisfaction were analyzed by chi-square test and multivariate Logistic regression.Results The survey showed that 73.9％ (547/740) of the participants would seek service in community health service centers first when their illness was mild;while 56.2％ (416/740) of the participants would seek service in secondary or tertiary hospitals directly.Four out of 8 contracted services were mostly utilized:personalized health counseling (732/740,98.9％),chronic disease management (721/740,97.4％),health promotion guidance (626/740,84.6％),and health education (614/740,83.0％).The satisfaction rates for service attitude of family doctor,the contents of contracted service,the competence of family doctor and the environment of clinical setting were 82.7％ (612/740),75.4％ (558/740),72.8％ (539/740) and 70.4％ (521/740),respectively.The satisfaction rates of service contents were 85.4％ (164/192) for home visit,81.3％ (248/305) for appointment of experts in tertiary hospital,76.8％ (562/732) for personalized health counseling,76.3％ (550/721) for chronic disease management,75.2％ (471/626) for health promotion guidance,74.4％ (457/614) for health education,72.8％ (302/415) for referral service,and 65.7％ (305/464) for appointment of next visit.Logistic regression showed that the quality of family doctor service in the community health service institutions (OR =2.693,P =0.000) and education levels of residents (OR =0.680,P =0.008) were the factors related to the satisfaction of the patients.Conclusion The contract-signing residents in Beijing urban area are willing to go to the community health service institutions,and generally satisfied with the service.But the service contents and service quality need to be further improved.
