Objective To study the natural history of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) progress to dementia and to evaluate the efficacy of acetylcholinesterase inhibitor (AChEI) donepezil on MCI.Methods Ninty-eight patients with MCI including amnestic MCI and non-amnestic MCI were retrospectively analyzed. The patients with donepezil or not were separately divided to two groups while they were matched by sex, age,degree of MCI and possession of the ApoE?4 allele.The rate of conversion from MCI to dementia, measured with the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE),Alzheimer's Disease Assessment Scale- Cognitive section(ADAS-Cog) and Wechsler Memory Scale-Revised (WMS-R),was compared between the two groups.Results In aMCI group,the rate of conversion dropped by 15.1% and 8.3% (P0.05).Conclusion Donepezil could postpone the conversion of MCI to dementia.

Objective To investigate manifestations of chronic obstructive parotitis (COP) under sialoendoscope and to evaluate curative effects of duct dilatation and drug perfusion for COP. Methods Twelve patients with COP were examined by sialoendoscopy. Treatment was performed by duct dilatation and gentamycin perfusion one week later. Results There were 11 cases of sialodochitis (complicated by sialostenosis in 7 cases, including 4 cases of polyps and 2 cases of mucus embolism, and simple sialodochitis in 4 cases) and 1 case of simple sialostenosis. Follow-up for 4 weeks showed that results were excellent in 4 cases, good in 7 cases, and poor in 1 case. Conclusions Sialoendoscopic exploration with dilatation procedure and drug perfusion offers certain short-term curative effects in the management of COP.

BACKGROUND: Virtual reality is an important assistive technology of upper limb motor function rehabilitation in recent years. The possible mechanism has become one of the research hotspots in the field of neural rehabilitation. OBJECTIVE: To summarize the application status and possible mechanism of virtual reality technology in post-stroke functional rehabilitation of the hemiplegic upper limb, as well as its future development. METHODS: We searched the articles in PubMed, Web of Science, WanFang and CNKI with the keywords of “stroke; brain hemorrhage; brain infarction; virtual reality; upper limb; hand; motor function; rehabilitation; neurorehabilitation; mechanism” in English and Chinese, respectively. The search time was from June 2000 to December 2019. Eventually, 102 articles that met the criteria were recruited. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Combined with conventional rehabilitation, virtual reality can significantly improve the motor function of the hemiplegic upper limb in post-stroke patients, and do better in improving patients’ compliance and saving labor cost than conventional training. However, there is insufficient clinical evidence to prove that virtual reality training alone is superior to conventional rehabilitation. The training effect may be affected by different factors in different stages of post-stroke patients. Virtual reality training may activate sensorimotor center by visual feedback and achieve motor recovery through improving cortical reorganization. Due to the imperfection of current theoretical models, further researches are expected.

Educational informationization is the focus of education and teaching reform. World University Town provided a very good platform for information and network teaching. This paper, taking the community rehabilitation course as an example, introduced the function ofWorld University Town in course construction and described the concepts, ideas, procedures and application effect.

AlM: To observe the therapeutic effects of improved external dacryocystorhinostomy.
METHODS:Retrospective analysis on 94 patients with monocular chronic dacryocystitis in our hospital from October 2010 to December 2013 were taken the improved external dacryocystorhinostomy. The improved surgery which was based on the traditional surgery including: 1. Nasal packing after anesthesia to relieve the pain and bleeding; 2. Not cut the medial palpebral ligament; 3. Suture the upper membrane of the nasal mucosa only;4. Pipe placement;5. Skin layered hairdressing suture. The patients were follow-up 3mo-2a after operation.
RESULTS: Ninety-three cases of patients cured with completely asymptomatic, no epiphora or mucopurulent secretion flow out from the lacrimal punctum, unobstructed lacrimal irrigation, the efficiency is 99%, 1 case of patient was epiphora, obstructed lacrimal irrigation, 1% was invalid.
CONCLUSlON:The improved external dacryocystorhinostomy is an effective surgical method which is easy to operate with high cure rate and its long term effect is precise.

Objective: To understand the current situation and impacts of household factors on of unhealthy dietary habits among preschool children, and to provide reference for preventing the occurrence of unhealthy dietary habits of preschool children. Methods: By using stratified random cluster sampling method, the study selected 1 070 children aged 3-6 years in 7 kindergartens in Urumqi. Household general information , children’s dietary behavior and parenting environment was collected through parent questionnaire survey. Results: The prevalence rate of unhealthy dietary habits among preschool children was 32.71%. Multifactor Logistic regression analysis showed that the unhealthy dietary habits of preschool children were negatively correlated to the following factors, including age of children [β=-0.32, 95%CI=(0.62,0.86)] , gender[β=-0.33,95%CI=(0.53,0.97)], educational level of mothers [β=0.94, 95%CI=(1.79,3.68)] , type of fanmily [β=0.64, 95%CI=(1.414,2.522)] and the scores of social adaptation/selfcare and environmental atmosphere in the family nurturing environment [β=-0.07, 95%CI=(0.90,0.97); β=-0.21, 95%CI=(0.76,0.87)]. Conclusion The cultivation of the dietary habits should pay more attention on younger children and boys, and the enhancement of health education on the children’s eating behaviors among mothers with lower education background and the primary child caregivers in the stem family. Family nurturing environment should be actively improved, in order to prevent the occurrence of children’s unhealthy dietary habits.

AIMTo study the role of the caudate-putamen (CPu)-hippocampus (HPC)-medial temporal lobe neocortex (MTNC) neural pathway in re-establishment of pathophysiological neural networks related to epileptogenesis.

METHODSExperiments were performed under anaesthesia on 45 SD rats. The right HPC, the right MTNC, bilateral HPC, the right HPC and the right MTNC depth electrographs were recorded with bipolar concentric electrodes. Tetanization (60 Hz, 2 s, 0.4 - 0.6 mA) of the right CPu or of the right HPC trains were used to establish acute rat epilepsy model. These depth electrographs were detected before or after tetani were delivered about 10 times at 10 min intervals.

RESULTSTetanization of the right CPu induced (1) primary afterdischarges and unilateral or bilateral HPC electrographic afterdischarges and kindling effect or inhibition-rebound-kindling effect were induced by repetitive tetani into the right CPu. (2) After injection of scopolamine (0.05 mg/kg i.p.), 3 Hz slow oscillations in HPC electrographs exhibited long-term potentiation followed by repetitive tetani into the right CPu. (3) After administration of scopolamine (i.p.) electrographic oscillations at 3Hz with synaptic modification in bilateral HPC were induced and epileptiform activities in the RHPC were synchronized with those in the RMTNC.

CONCLUSIONPathophysiological neural networks from the Cpu into the HPC might be reestablished by overactivation of the right CPu, in which two hemispheres are involved while temporal lobe epileptogenesis was facilitated.
