Observation on the effect of whole rice and whole wheat as sole food on the growth of young rats are furtherly made. The results showed that both whole rice and whole wheat showed no significant difference in the growth of young albino rats, but the difference between the rice group and rice plus leafy vegetable and egg group and that between the wheat group and wheat plus leafy vegetable and egg group are highly significant. Addition, of small amount of vegetable and egg alternatively as supplementary food significantly enhanced the nutritive value, in terms of growth effect, of both whole rice and whole wheat.

Objective To investigate the application of numerical simulation technique in supraorbital and frontal osseous defect.Methods The data of the patients with complex supraorbital and frontal osseous defects were obtained by helix CT scan.Numerical model based on the data was built up by computer.And the true model was produced by Rapid Prototyping.Being stimulated before this operation.the model was directly used in the operation.Results All of these 12 patients(one of defect of brow,four fracture of brow and zygoma,seven of old fracture of brow and zygoma)in this study were satisfied and their brows were symmetry after operation.All of them were satisfied after 1 or 2 years,without implantation exposure and transfiguration except one with infection.Conclusion Based on numerical technique difficulties of repairing,complex supraorbital and frontal osseous defect could be resolved by such process as collecting the bone data,stimulating operation by true models,and producing implantation before the operation.The accuracy of these operations can be improved.

Objective To observe the changes of serum IGF-I,VEGF levels in premature infants,and to dis-cuss the predicting values for the development of ROP;Methods Preterm infants admitted into those whose birth weight ( BW)≤1 500g and ( or) gestational age ( GA)≤31 weeks joined in ROP-screen,and those who were diag-nosed as ROP according to ICROP were included into ROP group.In the same time,those who didn't develop ROP were divided into the control group.Serum IGF-I,VEGF were measured one week from their birth or correct gestational age of 31 weeks.Serum IGF-I, VEGF were evaluated with ELISA method.Results The concentration of IGF-I, VEGF:Group ROP[(20.65 ±11.11)μg/L,(195.61 ±105.98)ng/L] were all significantly lower than the control group [(42.86 ±18.72)μg/L,(363.59 ±101.08)ng/L](all P<0.01).There were significant different of birth weight[ROP group (1 229.69 ±232.37)g,the control group (1 401.32 ±171.78)g;t=4.144)],GM[ROP group (3.20 ±1.23)mmol/L,the control group (3.70 ±1.17)mmol/L;t=2.082],the time of oxygen inhaling[ROP group (32 ±22)d,the control group (21 ±12)d;t=-2.856],oxygen inhalation mode(the percentage of mechanical ventilation)[ROP group 33/48(68.8%),the control group 16/50(32.0%);χ2 =16.363] and fertilization way(the percentage of test tube baby)[ROP group 13/48(27.1%),the control group 4/50(8.0%);χ2 =6.262] between ROP and control group (all P<0.05).Conclusion The low serum IGF-I(<28.08μg/L),VEGF(<232.89ng/L) of a premature in the first week or correct gestational age of 31 weeks and (or)BW≤1 500g would probably suggest the development of ROP.

Objective To find out sterilization quality of pulsating vacuum sterilizer for better sterilization effect.Methods The sterilization quality was monitored by physical,chemical and biological methods.Results 4,576 subjects were involved in the test.Such data were obtained as the qualification rate for temperature,the one by chemical indicator card,the one by B-D test and the one by biological indicator,which were 99.6%,99.8%,99.9% and 100% respectively.Conclusion Above data proves that the sterilizer is in normal condition.

Objective:To improve the knowledge on propythiouracil(PTU)-induced antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody(ANCA)-associated vasculitis.Methods:6 cases of PTU-induced ANCA-associated vasculitis were analyzed on clinical manifestation,laboratory and biopsy findings,therapy and prognosis.Results:All patients with Grave's disease had been treated with PTU from 2 months to 7 years suffered from ANCA-associated vasculitis, which can also appear after withdrawal of PTU. Clinical manifestations are different with only skin, joint, muscle involvements on mild cases or lung, renal and hematological involvement on severe cases. Sera from all patients were anti MPO-ANCA positive. All patients responded to withdrawal of PTU and administration of prednisone and immuno-suppressants well with ANCA declined or turned to negative.Conclusion:PTU can induce ANCA-associated vasculitis in the part of which lung and kidney can be seriously involved. Early withdrawal of PTU and administration of immunosuppressive agents might improve the prognosis.

Objective To investigate the effect of hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF)-1α and vascular en-dothelial growth factor (VEGF) on the angioge-nesis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Methods The collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) model was set up in male Wistar rats. The pathological angiogenesis and expression of HIF-1α and VEGF in the synovia different time points were observed by H&E and immunohistochemistry staining. Results The expressions of HIF-1α and VEGF on CIA synovium were significantly elevated and their expression increased gradually with the prolonged disease course. Both synovial HIF-1α expression and VEGF expression were correlated significantly with the pathological angiogenesis score. Synovial lining and sublining HIF-1α expression were correlated significantly with VEGF expression respectively. Conclusion H1F-1α may play an important role in the pathogenesis of RA by upregulating the expression of VEGF and then promoting angiogenesis.

Objective To make a nationwide external quality assessment of tests for isolation and identification of N.gonorrhoeae in medical and healthcare facilities at different levels,and to analyze current problems.Methods Lyophilized quality control samples were uniformly delivered to 252 medical and healthcare facilities providing sexually transmitted disease (STD) services at different levels.Test results were analyzed by the National Center for STD Control,China Center for Disease Control and Prevention,and evaluation results were fed back to participating laboratories.Results Finally,test results were received from 203 (80.56％) facilities.The comprehensive score averaged at 87.14,and facilities achieving a comprehensive score of 80 or greater amounted to 80.30％ (163/203).The coincidence rate was 53.69％ (109/203) for all of the 5 quality control samples,82.76％ (168/203) and 87.68％ (178/203) respectively for two quality control samples containing only N.gonorrhoeae,86.21％ (175/203) and 96.06％ (195/203) respectively for a sample containing Neisseria sicca and a sample containing Enterococcus faecalis,69.46％ (141/203)for a sample containing different species of Neisseria.Conclusion The external quality assessment reveals a disparity in the capability to isolate and identify Neisseria among medical and healthcare facilities providing STD services at different levels.

Deubiquitinating enzymes, reversing protein ubiquitination, most of the researches focused on the ifeld of molecular biology. However, it have not yet attracted enough attention in translational medicine research. In fact, target proteins of deubiquitinating enzymes affect the tumor progression through various ways, for example, cell apoptosis and autophagy, the link between inlfammation and cancer, tumor hypoxia, signal transduction, cell cycle regulation and DNA damage. This paper reviewed the research progress on the relations between deubiquitinating enzymes and the correlated factors of tumor.

Objective To explore the expression status of carbonic anhydrase Ⅲ (CA Ⅲ) from quadriceps femoris muscle in two kinds of muscle clinical phenotype (skeletal muscle atrophy group and skeletal muscles non-atrophy group) of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).Methods Totally 37 inpatients from our hospital,were divided into 11 patients without COPD and 26 patients with COPD,in addition,according to body mass index,fat free mass index and quadriceps cross-section diameter,patients with COPD were divided into 14 skeletal muscles non-atrophy patients (SMNA)and 12 skeletal muscle atrophy patients (SMA).CA Ⅲ concentration of femoris quadriceps specimens was quantitatively determined using Western blot methods,CA Ⅲ mRNA expression levels of femoris quadriceps specimens were also quantitatively measured using RT-PCR,then compared among the 3 groups.Results There was significant difference in CA Ⅲ quantitative concentration and CA Ⅲ mRNA expression level in each group (P ＜ 0.05),further more,CA Ⅲ concentration expression level was significantly higher (P ＜ 0.01)in SMA group (1.260 ± 0.068) than in SMNA group (1.110 ± 0.014),the latter was significantly higher (P ＜ 0.01) than in the control group (1.000 ± O.062).CA Ⅲ mRNA expression level was significantly higher(P ＜ 0.01) in SMNA group(2.170 ±0.412) than in the control group(1.000 ±0.115),and was significantly lower than in SMA group (3.770 ± 0.788 ; P ＜ O.01).CA Ⅲ concentration and CA Ⅲ mRNA expression level increased at equal pace in SMNA group and SMA group,however,CA Ⅲ quantitative concentration and CA Ⅲ mRNA expression level were inconsistent in the two groups.Conclusion The expression status of CA Ⅲ in quadriceps femoris muscle was different in two kinds of muscle clinical phenotype of COPD.

Objective To analyze the implementation of national continuing medical education (CME) programme in Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention during 2007-2012,in order to improve quality of CME.Methods According to the data from national CME system,Excel 2007 was used to analyze the authorized and executed programme data to calculate implementation rate; to calculate constituent ratio of different project hosting days; analyzing the tide of a technical post data to calculate constituent ratio of different professional ride; analyzing different types of lecture to calculate percentage of theory class hours and experiment class hours; calculating constituent ratio of different professional title about students,using SPSS 13.0 to conduct x2 test for constituent ratio of different professional tide about students in different years.Excel 2007 was used to analyze training effect data,calculating constituent ratio of degree of effect satisfaction.Results 361 projects were approved,52 projects of which were conducted during 2007-2012 with the execution rate of 69.81％.Most hosting days were 3-6 d.Teachers who have senior professional tides gain 80.25％(1 170/1 458).The majority (70.85％,20 642/29 136) of students have junior and intermediate technical tides; Students in different years Tide Distribution is not exacdy the same,junior and intermediate technical tides gain the most proportion(X2=2 215.79,P=0.000).Students are satisfied with the progressiveness of training content.Conclusions Implementation of projects are overall good.In the future,it is needed to expand the scale,and enhance surveillance and evaluation to improve project quality according to the characteristic of project.
