Objective To summarize the clinical expedence in surgical treatment and prognosis of artrial septal defect(ASD)in adults and to know well the surgical indication of ASD in adults.Methods 32 patients over 20 years old with the left to right shunt and preoperative mean pulmonary artery pressure less than 8kPa underwent direct surgical repair for ASD under extra corporeal circulation.Results All patients survived after surgery,there was no surgical mortality in our group.32 patients were followed-up,29 of them with disappearing symptoms and 3 of them still had various symptoms.Conclusion The following condition ASD in adults who have slight to moderate clinical symptoms should be operated:cardiac enlargement eardiothoracic ratio over 50% and pneumonemia in X-ray films;right ventricular hypertrophy with a right axis deviation of incomplete right bundle branch block on the electrocardiogram;diameter of ASD over 1.5cm in ultrasonic cardiogram.

Objective To confirm that if the integrality of NF has effect on the shape and distribution of NLY. Methods using SABC monocolon antibody immunohistochemistry,electron microscopy,immunocytochemistry, and enzymocytochemistry to observe the disorder of NF-H and the changes of distribution and shape of NLY after vanadate treated. Results When the integrality of NF was damaged, the proteins of NF gathered towards nuclear accompany with the similar movements of NLY, meanwhile the shape of NLY also changed into round from thread-like shape.Conclusion Through different ways we used, vanadate can over-phosphate NF proteins and destroy the assemble ability. Whether NF has a complete structure is important to the shape and distribution of NLY, which will be changed when the structure of NF is disorganized.

Objective To evaluate the efficiency of montelukast and ketotifen combind with BCG-PSN(polysaccharide nucleic acid fraction of bacillus calmette guerin for injection) in decreasing the incidence of asthma following brochiolitis.Methods 30 patients with brochiolitis were given montelukast,ketotifen and BCG-PSN,compared with 31 patients with brochiolitis without the treatment.The total course were two months for oral montelukast,three months for oral ketotifen,and six months for injecting BCG-PSN.The time of follow up was over 1 year and the cases of patients developed asthma were investigated,serum level of IgE,IgA,IgG,IgM were tested before and after the treatment.Results After follow up 1 year,1/30(3%) of patents with brochiolitis receiving treatment developed asthma compared with 9/31(29%) of the controls with brochiolitis(P

Objective To investigate the result of diagnosis and surgery of stageⅠnon-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).Methods The survival of 47 stageⅠNSCLC patients performed surgery were retrospectively analyzed.Results There were 21 cases who were diagnosed by routine physical examination.The 1～,3～,5～year survival rates of the group of lobectomy were 93.8%,79.3% and 54.6% respectively.The1～,3～,5～year survival rates of wedge resection were 75.7%,42.6% and 35.7% respectively.There were statistical significances of the survival rates between the two groups(P

The "Duhuo" in Herbal writing Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing include traditional Chinese medicine "Duhuo" and "Qianghuo", "Qianghuo" was separated from "Duhuo" due to the distinguish of clinical application. Objective To investigate the clinical features of moyamoya disease complicated with Graves′disease and the efficacy of extra-and intra-cranial revascularization. Methods The clinical data of 4 patients with moyamoya disease complicated with Graves′disease were analyzed retrospectively. Among them,three were females and one was a male. Their mean age was 32 ± 7 years. After medical treatment, their thyroid function was normal. The patients were treated with superficial temporal artery-middle cerebral artery bypass grafting. Results (1) Three patients showed cerebral infarction and one showed frequent transient ischemic attack. DSA confirmed that 2 patients had unilateral moyamoya disease and 2 had bilateral moyamoya disease. Head MRI revealed brain infarcts. (2) The thyroid function was normal after drug treat-ment,the symptoms of moyamoya disease were stable in 3 cases. One patient had high metabolic symptoms, such as high fever and accelerated heart rate within one week after procedure. The patients were followedup for 6 to 18 months,one was good,3 were excellent,and there was no recurrence of Graves′disease. Postoperative head MRI revealed that the 4 patients did not have new brain infarcts. MRA showed that the arterial filling in cerebral sulci in the ischemic lesion areas was obviously improved compared with that before procedure. Retrograde filling of the ipsilateral middle cerebral artery M2-M3 segment was observed in 2 patients. Postoperative single photon emission computed tomography perfusion imaging revealed that the ischemic perfusion lesions on the operated sides were obviously improved compared with those before procedure. Conclusion When complicated with Graves′ disease,the symptoms of moyamoya disease will aggravate. It manifests as acute and chronic cerebral ischemia. After controlling the symptoms of hyperthyroidism,most cerebral ischemic symptoms can be alleviated. Superficial temporal artery-middle cerebral artery bypass grafting may establish an effective collateral circulation and improve the clinical symptoms.

Objective: To investigate the mechanism responsible for homoharringtonine (HHT), which contributes to imatinib (IM) sensitivity in the chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) cell line. Methods:We established cell lines from a patient with CML at the time of first diagnosis and relapse phase, and designated the cell lines as NPHA1 and NPHA2, respectively. Stable underexpressed EphB4 cells (NPHA2-EphB4-sh) were obtained. Leukemia cell lines were incubated with HHT. The activated signal proteins in cells were tested by Western blot. Results:EphB4 was overexpressed in IM-resistant NPHA2 compared with the NPHA1 cell line. However, the expression of EphB4 mRNA and protein were significantly decreased in knockdown NPHA2-EphB4-sh cells compared with the NPHA2 and NPHA1 (P<0.001) cell lines. NPHA2-EphB4-sh cells were sensitive to IM (IC50:0.93 mg/L), and NPHA2 showed IM re-sistance (IC50 : 5.45 mg/L) (P<0.001). However, co-stimulation with HHT+IM decreased IC50 of NPHA2 cells to 1.17 mg/L (P<0.001). Meanwhile, phospho-Rac1/cdc42 was significantly increased in NPHA2 cells compared with NPHA2-EphB4-sh (P<0.001). HHT blocked the expression of EphB4/RhoA. Conclusion: The overexpression of EphB4 contributed to IM resistance in CML line cells. EphB4/RhoA may be a new marker of IM resistance. HHT with IM yielded more treatment advantages than IM alone by blocking EphB4/RhoA pathways.
