Objective To study the association of the serum soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1(SICAM-1) and soluble vascular cell adhesion molecule-1(SVCAM-1) with metabolic syndrome(MS) and its components. Methods The MS was defined by criteria of the international diabetes federation. The levels of SICAM-1 ,SVCAM-1,plasma glucose, insulin, lipids, uric acid, glycosylated haemoglobin A(1C), and blood viscosity were measured. Results The concentrations of SICAM-1 and SVCAM-1 were significantly higher in subjects with MS and its components than in those without them. The concentrations of SICAM-1 and SVCAM-1 were correlated positively with disorder number of BMI, WHR, SBP, DBP,FPG, 2 hour plasma glucose, triglyceride, uric acid, HbA1c, blood viscosity and HOMA-IR,and negatively with high density lipoprotein cholesterol. Conclusions The concentrations of SICAM-1 and SVCAM-1 rise with the increase of the number of MS components. Endothelial dysfunction might participate in the occurrence and development of MS.

Objective To study the effect of simvastatin(SV) on NF-kappa B p65 expression in liver of insulin resistant rats. Methods Male Wistar rats were divided into two groups:basic chow(NC,n=15)or high-fat diet(HF,n=20)for 10 weeks feeding, then assessed by euglycemic-hyperinsulinemia clamp technique. Rats in HF group were treated with(HFS,n=5)and without (HFN,n=5) SV 10mgkg-1d-1 in gavage for 5 weeks.NF-kappa B p65 expressions were tested with Western blot. Results The glucose infusion rate (GIR) in HF group decreased significantly compared with NC group (P

This article was aimed to evaluate clinical efficacy of the pulmonary rehabilitation health education guidance mode. The CAT assessment tool was used for evaluation of stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) inpatients and outpatients in the Respiratory Department, Affiliated Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Xinjiang Medical University. A total of 80 stable COPD patients were randomized divided into the treatment group and control group. In the treatment group, stable COPD patients received pulmonary rehabilitation health education guidance. And then the quality of life was evaluated. The results showed that compared with the control group, after 48-week health education intervention, the CAT score and dyspnea index scale score of 40 patients in the treatment group were decreased with significant difference (P < 0.05). It was concluded that the guidance mode of pulmonary rehabilitation health education was conducive to improving the quality of life of pa-tients with COPD, decreasing the dyspnea index score, and improving exercise tolerance in patients to a certain extent. This pattern can be implemented in the optimization of future clinical practice and nursing.

This study was aimed to evaluate the number of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and quality of life with family pulmonary rehabilitation exercise. Randomized controlled method 584 was used in the study. The COPD patients in the stability drug treatment were divided into the treatment group and control group. The treatment group A was given health education and pulmonary rehabilitation training in the family. And the treatment group B was given health education and treatment of pulmonary rehabilitation training in the family with acupoint application therapy. Health education was given in the control group. Changes on the number of acute exacerbation of COPD and quality of life were observed. The intervention time was one year. The results showed that patients after one-year pulmonary rehabilitation exercise in the family, the acute exacerbation (AECOPD) times of treatment group A and group B were obviously decreased (P < 0.01) compared to pre-treatment. The OR value was (0.79, 2.02) and (0.59, 2.11), respectively. The quality of life of treatment group A and group B was obviously improved (P < 0.05). The OR value was (3.39, 10.11) and (4.23, 9.57), respectively. Compared to the control group, the quality of life in treatment group B was obviously improved (P < 0.05). The OR value was (0.59, 7.78). It was concluded that the pulmonary rehabilitation exercise in the family can decrease the number of AECOPD and improve the quality of life of patients, reduce the risk of COPD patients in the future. This method is worth popularizing in the clinical and community practice.

Objective To investigate the difference of serum high sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)concentrations in subjects with various glucose tolerances, and to analyze the correlation with insulin resistance. Methods A total of 90 subjects, who came from the Medical Examination Center of the First Hospital Affiliated to China Medical University from Oct.2004 to Apr.2005,were divided into five groups according to oral glucose tolerance test(OGTT):normal glucose tolerance(NGT)group;impaired fasting glucose(IFG)group;impaired glucose tolerance(IGT)group;IFG and IGT(IGT/IFG)group;newly diagnosed,complication-free type 2 diabetes(T2DM)group.By using the ELISA methods, the concentration of serum high sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)was measured in these subjects, and its correlation with homeostasis model assessment insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR)was andlysed. Results The concentration of hs-CRP was significantly higher in IFG,IFG/IGT,T2DM than in NGT.The concentration of hs-CRP was positively correlated with glucose metabolism index and insulin resistance index. Conclusion Our study demonstrates that inflammation already exists not only in T2DM patients but also in subjects with IFG.Inflammation might participate in the occurance and development of T2DM.

Methods Acute attack of asthma patients with 84 patients, divided into virtual Asthma Group, the other card-based group, another non-choice of 63 patients with asthma, as a control group. Detection of all selected in the peripheral blood TXA2; TPA, PAI; blood coagulation. Results ①asthma group and control group case-control study results: OR=2.950, 95% CI (1.504, 5.785) exposure risk of the disease as non-exposed group of 2.95 times. ②Asthma group and the control group between the various indicators of hemorheology, in addition to TPA (P>0.05) no significant difference. Ms indicators are significant differences (P<0.05), suggested that asthma in the blood change detection indicators relative to the control group have changed significantly. Conclusion ①"Stasis" and asthma-related, "Stasis" Asthma is a major cause of morbidity. ②From stasis treatment of asthma, Huoxue Huayu Prescription provide the basis for the treatment of asthma.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the distribution and the drug resistance of pathogens in cerebral stroke patients with hospital infction and to provide a foundation for reasonabie application of antibacterials.METHODS Pathogenic bacteria were isolated from inpatients of burn department from 2003 to 2008,instruments assay or K-B disk diffusion method was taken to carry out the sensitive test. The drug resistance rate of the pathogenic bacteria was analyzed.RESULTS Totally 222 strains were isolated, among which 122 strains were Gram-negative bacteria,58 strains were Gram-positive ones, and 42 strains were fungi. The percentage of these three groups was 54.95%,26.13% and 18.92%,respectively.The main strains of Gram-negative bacteria were Pseudomonas aeruginosa,Escherichia coli, and Enterobacter cloacae, and that of the Gram-positive bacteria were Staphylococcus aureus,Enterococcus and S.epidermidis.The major strain of fungi was Candida albicans. The pathogenic bacteria tested showed high drug resistance. The detection rate of the meticillin-resistant S.aureus(MRSA)was 73.68%.The detection rate of the ESBLs from the K.pneumoniae and the E.coli was 60.00% and 33.33 %.CONCLUSIONS The pathogenic bacteria are multidrug-resistant.Inspecting pathogens and strengthening susceptibility tests are very important in reducing drug abuse, decreasing the resistance rate and raising the cure rate in hospital.
