OBJECTIVETo systematically evaluate the effectiveness of integrative medicine (IM) for preventing postoperative recurrence of primary hepatic carcinomas (PHC).
METHODSSuch databases as The Cochrane Library, PubMed, EMbase, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), VIP Database, Wan-fang Database were retrieved to collect randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on preventing postoperative recurrence of PHC by IM. The retrieval period started from database establishment to June 2013. Literature screening, data extraction, and quality evaluation were performed by two reviewers strictly according to inclusion criteria. Meta-analysis was conducted using RevMan 5.2 Software.
RESULTSA total of 5 RCTs involving 367 patient cases were included. Results of Meta-analysis showed that the IM group was superior to the Western medicine (WM) group in the 1-, 2-, and 3-year recurrence rates (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONIn the prevention of postoperative recurrence of PHC, the effectiveness of IM was more significant, when compared with treatment of Western medicine.

Fifty-six patients with Graves' ophthalmopathy(GO)were treated with antithyroid drug and oral prednisone for three months,TSH receptor antibody(TRAb)level was reduced,GO activity and severity of some patients were ameliorated but still positively associated with TRAb.It suggests that TRAb not only triggers off GO but also plays a possible role in the maintenance of the autoimmune process in GO.

Objective To characterize the molecular characteristics of hemagglutinin (HA) and neuraminidase (NA) of influenza B viruses isolated in Jiangsu province,2011.Methods Thirteen strains of influenza B virus in different areas and epidemic period in Jiangsu province,2011 were selected for whole-genome sequencing, and analysis of molecule epidemic characteristics for HA and NA was carried out by bioinformatics method. Results Of the 13 randomly selected influeuza B strains,10 strains were assorted to Victoria lineage strains with NA genes from Yamagata lineage, and 3 strains belong to Yamagata lineage.Compared nucleotide and amino acid sequences of HA and NA genes with their vaccine strains respectiuely,196/197 glycosylation site appeared on HA1 gene in Yamagata/Victoria isolates virus. Conclusion Both B/Victoria and B/Yamagata lineage viruses co-circulated in Jiangsu province, and reassortant virus of Victoria lineage were predominant virus.

Objective To evaluate the clinical significance of sinus heart rate turbulence(HRT)and the heart rate variability(HRV)in the patients with essential hypertension(EH).Methods HRV and HRT examination were carried out in sixty patients with EH.A subgroup of patients receive metoprolol+nifedipine(n=26)or nife- dipine alone(n=34)were investigated seperately to evaluate the effect of ?-blocker on the HRV and HRT.Fifty healthy persons were served as control. In the HRT determination, turbulence onset(TO)was defined as sinus heart rate acceleration, after ventrieular mature beat while turbulence slope(TS)as sinus heart rate deceleration slope after ventricular premsture beat.Normal value of TO was2.5 ms/RR period. SDNN,RMSSD,LF/HF in HRV were analysed from 24 hours ambulatory electrocardiography(before and after 1 month medication). Results ① In hypertensive group,52 patients showed positive TO(86.6%),48 patients pos- itive TS(80.0%)and 46 patients TO+TS(76.7%),compared with hypertension group only 2(4%)positive TO and 3(6%)positive TS in the healthy control.Forty-two cases SDNN(70.0%),41 cases RMSSD(68.3%)and 38 cases LF/HF(63.3 %)were positive in hypertensive group, while only 1(2 %)SDNN,1(2 %)RMSSD and 3(6 %) LF/HF in control. ② Metoprolol didn't change the positive percentage of parameters in HRT but parameters showing Heart rate variablity in HRV was decreased significantly found between TO,TS and TO+TS.Conclusion HRT and HRV is two indices for determination the dysfunction of autonomic nervous system in hypertension.?-re ceptor blocker inhibit sympathic activity, miligate the decreasing of HRV,but the bipbase accelerative and decelera- tive phenomena of HRT didn't change,HRT seems to be a more sensitive index for monitoring of autonomic sysfunc tion in hypertension.

Salmonella enterica serovar Cerro 87, which was isolated from a commercial egg-producing farm, has a phosphorothioated DNA backbone resulting DNA degradation(Dnd) during the pulsed field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) process. In this research, a gene deletion mutant XTG103 was engineered with the entire dnd gene cluster knocked out by double crossover using vector pKOV-kan, and lost Dnd phenotype corre- spondingly. We regulated the DNA phosphorothioation by heterogenous expression of dnd gene cluster with an isopropyl ?-D-1-thiogalactopyranoside (IPTG) inducible promoter PlacZ.

CDISC standard has become a set of global data standards that can be used in clinical study, covering the full life cycle of clinical researches. After nearly 20 years of development and continuous version upgrades, CDISC standard can improve the quality and efficiency of clinical research and drug review, and to facilitate all stakeholders involved in researches to exchange the study data and communicate the outcomes. CDISC standard has been or is to be adopted as standard format in data submission by multiple regulatory authorities, and more widely implemented by the global pharmaceutical community. CDISC standard is gradually adopted in China. The feasibility and roadmap of CDISC standard as the Chinese data submission format requirements are undergoing exploration and piloting further.

Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2021;19(1):78-82
Literatures on pain intervention with transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation (TEAS) were collected by searching the databases both in Chinese and English, and summarized to understand the research progress of TEAS effects on pain mediators in recent years. This will provide a more objective and scientific theoretical basis for clinical practice of TEAS to treat pain syndrome, thus promoting the clinical application of TEAS. Our literature analysis indicated that TEAS effectively regulated the release levels of various pain factors such as prostaglandin, 5-hydroxytryptamine, interleukins, substance P and tumor necrosis factor-α to achieve the analgesic effects by affecting the conduction pathways. TEAS is a safe, non-invasive and effective treatment for pain syndrome. However, further research is necessary due to the lack of rigor of the current clinical trial design.
9.Clinical Experience of Professor PAN Liqun in the Treatment of Plasma Cell Mastitis
Journal of Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2018;34(2):199-201
This study introduced the clinical experience of Professor PAN Liqun in the treatment of plasma cell mastitis. Professor PAN believes that the treatment should take the understanding of the pathological anatomy as the precondition, take patients'pathogenesis as the basis and combine their menstrual cycles, then expel the toxin through tuofa. At the same time, external therapy should be applied in the treatment, especially the drainage through a small incision following the direction of the breast lesion, which can avoid the massive damage of patients'breast structure particularly the breast ducts, minimize the breast damage and maintain the physical integrity of the breast.Professor PAN's treatment fully plays the academic advantages of the combination of internal and external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine.

Chinese Journal of Medical Instrumentation 2009;33(4):255-258
A high resolution Micro-CT system for small animal imaging is introduced in this paper. Micro-focus X-ray tube with focal diameter of 100 microm and flat panel detector with imaging area of 13cm x 13cm are adopted in this system. The data acquired in rotation scanning is reconstructed with cone beam algorithm. The resolving power of the detector is measured to be 31 lp/cm at 10% of the MTF. The resolution of the Micro-CT system could achieve 185 m when the magnification factor is 1.94. Thighbone of a rabbit is used as sample imaging with the system. The trabecular bone could be imaged clearly. And the ability of small animal imaging of the system has been demonstrated.
