As an important acupoints beyond meridians, Huatuo spine points are used extensively. Its localization generally is considered on the back waist where is under the both sides of the spinous processes (0.5 inch) from the first thoracic vertebral to the fifth lumbar. Furthermore, Huatuo spine points include 17 points on the right side and 17 points on the left. Through a large number of clinical observations and literature’s searching, the writer considers that the Huatuo spine points are an integrated, independent region that is combined pass through the Bladder meridian and the Du meridian. Therefore, acupuncture the region may depend on the specific conditions.

Acupuncture has a definite curative in treating pain.Pain is a subjective feeling,which is not easy to be measured because of lack of quantifiable index.Besides,because evaluation measures for acupuncture analgesia are not unanimous,it is lack of comparability among the different clinical researches.The author summarized the clinical evaluation measures of acupuncture analgesia which are used in clinical commonly,and considered that the clinical study on acupuncture analgesia should be globally evaluated from the extent of pain,complication symptoms and life quality on the basis of determining the nature and xing quantity of the subjective index.

Objective To study the effect ofQianzheng powder through point directional transdermal drug delivery technique for the patients with urge incontinence(UI) after stroke.Methods Seventy patients with UI after stroke were randomly divided into treatment group and control group(each group 35 patients). Qianzheng powder through point directional transdermal drug delivery was given to the treatment group, but the tolterodine through mouth was given to the control group. The urinary diary and bladder function at baseline and after 2 weeks' treatment were observed.Results After treatment, the total effect rate(88.2%vs. 63.6%,χ2=5.575) in the treatment group were better than that in the control group (P<0.01).The duration of voided (17.05 ± 6.21 times/48 hvs. 28.63 ± 9.62 times/48 h,t=5.872), the times of urinary incontinence (2.08 ± 1.24 times/48 hvs. 7.19 ± 2.46 times/48 h,t=10.784), the average voided volume (282.38 ± 14.32 mlvs. 185.82 ± 15.43 ml,t=26.561), the times of nocturia (1.38 ± 0.34 times per nightvs. 2.45 ± 1.56 times per night,t=3.906), the initial Sensory capacity of bladder (246.76 ± 21.95 mlvs. 176.43 ± 20.64 ml,t=13.502), the maximum capacity of bladder (495.80 ± 26.72 mlvs. 295.81 ± 28.46 ml,t=29.663), the residual urine volume (12.25 ± 6.83 ml vs. 33.63 ± 7.25 ml,t=12.428) in the treatment group showed significantly more improvement than those in the  control group (P<0.01).Conclusions TheQianzheng powder by point directional transdermal drug delivery could reduce the symptoms of urinary incontinence, and improve the life quality of patients with UI after stroke.

Purpose:To sutdy the clinical value of 99m Tc MIBI scintimammography in the differential diagnosis between breast cancer and benign breast tumor and lymph node involvement. Methods:68 female patients with breast masses underwent 99m Tc MIBI breast scintigraphy. The images were acquired 10 min after injection of 740 MBq 99m Tc MIBI intravenously. The intravenous injection was performed into an antecubital vein in the arm on the side opposite to the breast mass. Results:38 of 68 patients were breast carcinoma, among them 34 were detected using 99m Tc MIBI scintimammography. Of 30 patients with benign lesions, 3 were positive. The sensitivity and specificity of 99m Tc MIBI scintimammography in detecting breast cancer was 89.5% and 90% respectively. 6 of 8 with pathologically proven metastatic lymph node involvement were detected. Conclusions: 99m Tc MIBI scintimammography is a highly sensitive method in the detection of breast cancer. This study also show the potential value of the procedure to detect lymph node mvolvement.

Objective To evaluate the changes and clinical significance ot the serum levels of homocysteine (Hcy) in gastric cardia cancer patients before and after surgery.Methods Serum Hcy concentrations of 102 patients with gastric cardia cancer (including 69 case of males) and 50 healthy human were measured by enzymatic cycling assay.Results Total Hcy levels were significantly increased in male patient group compared with the levels in control group (t =5.143,P =0.001).Hcy levels were significantly lower in postoperative group compared with preoperative group [(17.08±5.31) μmol/L vs (20.34±9.26) μmol/L,(14.07±4.87) μmol/L vs (20.34±9.26) μmol/L,P ＜ 0.05].Compared with Ⅳ stage group and other TNM stage groups,significantly lower levels of Hcy were detected in patients with gastric cardia cancer (t =2.306,3.285,P =0.030,0.002).Hcy levels in patients with gastric cardia cancer were also significantly higher than those in the tumor length ＜ 3 cm,3-5 cm and ＞ 5 cm groups (t =2.461,2.147,P =0.017,0.038).Multiple logistic regression analysis indicated a statistically significant association between serum Hcy concentration and gastric cardia cancer incidence (OR =1.136,95 ％ CI 1.010-1.278,P =0.033).Increasing serum Hcy levels were significantly associated with a decreasing risk of metastatic lymph node (OR =0.865,P =0.010).Conclusion Serum Hcy levels are directly associated with risk of male patients with gastric cardia cancer,and play important roles in the development of gastric cardia cancer.

It is purposed to analyze therapeutic effectiveness at community and designated hospitals for extensive influenza A H1N1 outbreaks at five universities in Qingdao,Shandong,east China during September 1 to 30,2009,including 28 confirmed cases,182 suspected cases and 136 close contacts treated at community health-care facilities,and 56 confirmed cases treated at designated hospitals.There was no significant difference in therapeutic effectiveness between community health-care facilities and designated hospitals (P ＞ 0.05).No new cases occurred seven days after their isolation was lifted for suspected cases and close contacts at community,indicating influenza A H1N1 could be prevented,controlled and cured and its mild cases could be treated at community health-care facilities.

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of combined examination of homocysteine (Hcy) and CEA for male patients with gastric cardia cancer.Methods Serum concentration of Hcy,CEA,CA199,CA724,CA242 and TPS in 54 male patients with gastric cardia cancer and in 30 healthy men were measured.The diagnostic efficacy was analyzed between the combination of Hcy,CEA and the combination of Hcy,CEA,CA199,CA724,CA242,TPS.Results Total Hcy,CEA levels were significantly increased in patients group compared with control group ((20.3±9.2) μmol/L vs (13.7±3.1) μmol/L,(7.8±3.5) μg/L vs (1.6±1.2) μg/L,P ＜ 0.05).The sensitivity,specificity and accuracy of the combination of CEA,CA199,CA724,CA242 and TPS were 73.6 ％,64.5 ％ and 70.2 ％ respectively,while those of the combination of Hcy,CEA were 92.5 ％,64.5 ％ and 82.1％,respectively.There was significant difference between the combination of Hcy,CEA and the combination of CEA,CA199,CA724,CA242 and TPS (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Combined detection of Hcy and CEA is helpful for diagnosis in male patients with gastric cardia cancer.

Objective To study the differential diagnostic value of interferon-γ inducible protein 10 (IP-10),macrophage inflammatory protein-1 α (MIP-1 α) and monocyte chemoattractant-1 (MCP-1) level in the tuberculous,malignant pleural effusion.Methods Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to detect the level of IP-10,MIP-1 α and MCP-1 in tuberculous pleural fluid (tuberculous pleural fluid group,43 cases) and malignant pleural fluid (malignant pleural fluid group,45 cases).The level of IP-10,MIP-1 α and MCP-1 and the significance were analyzed by ROC curve.Results The level of IP-10,MIP-1 α and MCP-1 were significantly higher in tuberculous pleural fluid group than those in malignant pleural fluid group,and there were significant differences(t =4.931,3.106,2.385 ; P =0.000,0.004,0.041).ROC curve analysis showed that the critical value of IP-10,MIP-1 α and MCP-1 in diagnosis of pleural effusion was respectively 1 589.73,213.50,1 452.63 ng/L.The sensitivity and specificity of IP-10,MIP-1 α and MCP-1 in pleural fluid were 68.8％,81.3％,87.5％ and 87.5％,68.8％,56.3％,respectively.Conclusion The level of IP-10,MIP-1 α and MCP-1 in tuberculous and malignant pleural fluid are significant for the early diagnosis and differential diagnosis.

Objective To investigate midkine (MK) level in serum of patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) before and after operation,detect the expression of MK protein in tissues and analyze its relationship with the malignant biological behavior of ESCC.Methods The MK levels in serum were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay in 30 healthy cases and 55 patients with ESCC when the day before operation and the tenth-day after operation.Then the expression of MK protein in 55 patients surgically removed ESCC were detected by immunohistochemistry using monoclonal antibodies against human MK.Results The average optical density of MK in serum of ESCC patients before operation was 0.1006±0.0624,0.0455±0.0155 in normal control group,0.0752±0.0267 in postoperative control group (t =6.203,P ＜ 0.001).The MK levels in serum of ESCC patients before operation were significantly higher than those after operation (t =4.357,P ＜ 0.001) and those in healthy controls (P ＜ 0.05).The expression of MK protein was no statistically significant correlation with tumor size (x2 =0.131),TNM stage (x2 =0.315) and lymph node metastasis (x2 =0.282) in ESCC (all P ＞ 0.05).But significant correlation was noted between the expression of MK protein and the vasculature involving of the cutting edge (x2 =4.223),degree of cellular differentiation (x2 =10.326),invasive extent of the carcinoma (x2 =20.556) (all P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion MK is overexpressed in ESCC patient' s serum and tissue.The high level of preoperative serum MK is caused by the tumor.
