Objective To investigate the effect of acupuncture plus astragalus polysaccharide on the expression of Bcl-2 protein in pancreatic islet b cells in db/db mice. Method C57BL/Ksj-db/db mice as an animal model of spontaneous type 2 diabetes were selected for this experiment. Five-week-old db/db mice were randomized into model, acupuncture, medication and acupuncture+medication groups. Meanwhile, db/m mice were selected as a normal group. The acupuncture group received acupuncture at points Housanli (equivalent to Zusanli, ST36), Neiting(ST44) and Yishu(Extra) and the medication group, an oral gavage of astragalus polysaccharide (1400 mg/kg). Both groups were treated once daily, for 12 consecutive weeks. After the end of experiment, blood glucose, insulin and resistin were measured, and the expression of Bcl-2 protein in islet b cells was determined by immunohistochemical method. Result Blood glucose, insulin and resistin levels were significantly lower in the acupuncture+medication, acupuncture and medication groups than in the model group. They were significantly lower in the acupuncture+medication group than in the acupuncture and medication groups and significantly lower in the acupuncture group than in the medication group. The expression of Bcl-2 protein in islet b cells was higher in the medication, acupuncture and acupuncture+medication groups than in the model group; there was a statistically significant difference (P<0.01). The expression of Bcl-2 protein was higher in the acupuncture+medication groups than in the medication group (P<0.01) and it was basically the same in the medication group as in the acupuncture group; there was no statistically significant difference (P>0.05). Conclusion Acupuncture plus astragalus polysaccharide can significantly reduce blood glucose and serum insulin and resistin levels and increase the expression of Bcl-2 protein in islet b cells to effectively inhibit apoptosis in islet b cells in db/db mice. Its effect is better than that of acupuncture alone or medication.

Objective To investigate the effect of hyperacute intensive antihypertensive treatment on the prognosis of intracerebral hemorrhage in basal ganglia region. Methods From January 2013 to December 2015,100 patients with intracerebral hematoma in basal ganglia region (onset ≤3 h)at the Neurological Intensive Care Unit, the First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University were enrolled prospectively. They all randomly received the intensive antihypertensive or standard antihypertensive treatment voluntarily. They were divided into either an intensive antihypertensive group or a standard antihypertensive group according to the random number table (n = 50 in each group). Within 1 h after beginning to treatment, the target systolic blood pressure was controlled in 130 -140 mmHg in the intensive antihypertensive group, the target systolic blood pressure was controlled in 160 -180 mmHg in the standard antihypertensive group, and the target systolic blood pressure was maintained respectively in the following 7 d. Head CT was performed gain at 24 h after treatment. The intracranial hematoma expansion was evaluated. The National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)and the modified Rankin scale (mRS)were used to
evaluate their prognoses. The differences of the cumulative mortality in both groups were compared at the same time. Results The incidences of hematoma expansion of the intensive antihypertensive group and the standard antihypertensive group were 12. 0% (6/ 50)and 30. 0% (15/ 50)respectively. There was significant difference between the 2 groups (χ2 = 4. 882,P = 0. 027). There were no significant differences in NIHSS scores within or between both groups at each time points (all P > 0. 05). They were followed up for 90 d,no adverse events occurred in both groups. The favorable prognosis rates of the neurological function were 36. 0% (18 / 50)and 18. 0% (9 / 50)respectively in the intensive antihypertensive group and the standard antihypertensive group. There was significant difference between the 2 groups (χ2 = 0. 411,P =0. 043). Kaplan-Meier curves showed that the cumulative mortality at 24 h,within 7 d and 90 d in the intensive antihypertensive group and the standard antihypertensive group were 4. 0% (2 / 50),6. 0%(3 / 50),and 10. 0% (5 / 50),respectively,those of the standard antihypertensive group were 10. 0%(5 / 50),24. 0%(12 / 50),and 30. 0%(15 / 50),respectively. The results of Log-rank test found that there was significant difference in cumulative mortality between the 2 groups (χ2 =6.280,P =0.012). Conclusions The intensive antihypertensive treatment in the hyperacute cerebral hemorrhage is safe and feasible in basal ganglia region. It contributes to improve prognosis of neurological function, and reduce the incidence of hematoma expansion and the 90 d cumulative mortality.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2024;45(3):394-397
Objective:
To investigate the prevalence of anxiety symptoms among high grade primary school students in Guangzhou and their correlation with family functioning and parental parenting styles, so as to provide theoretical basis and guidance for family based interventions for children s anxiety symptoms.
Methods:
From June to September 2022, a multi stage cluster random sampling method was employed to select 5 396 students from grades 4 to 6 in 13 primary schools in Guangzhou. The Family Functioning Assessment Scale for Children, Parental Bonding Instrument, and Spence Children s Anxiety Scale Short Version were used for the survey. Inter group comparison was analysed by t test or analysis of variance. Linear regression analysis was used to explore the effects of family function and parental parenting styles on anxiety symptoms in primary school students.
Results:
The average score for anxiety symptoms among high grade primary school students in Guangzhou was (11.63±10.88). In terms of parenting styles, mothers scored higher than fathers in the dimensions of "care" (25.63±4.92) and "control" (5.08±2.58) compared to fathers ( 24.74± 5.50, 5.00±2.51) ( t =15.80, 4.21, P <0.01). However, there was no statistically significant difference in the scores of parents on the dimension of "encouragement of independence"(12.98±4.06,13.05±3.95)( t =-1.77, P >0.05). After adjusting for general demographic characteristics, the results of linear regression analysis showed that primary school students family functioning ( B =0.47) and parental "control" ( B =0.67, 0.75) were positively associated with anxiety symptoms scores ( P <0.01). Meanwhile, parental "care" ( B =-0.53,-0.55) and "encouragement of independence" ( B =-0.62,-0.68) were negatively associated with anxiety symptom scores ( P <0.01). These associations remained statistically significant even after further adjusting for family functioning ( P <0.01).
Conclusions
Family functioning, parenting styles are closely associated with anxiety symptoms among high grade primary school students. Positive family functioning and parenting styles may mitigate childhood anxiety symptoms, whereas excessive parental control may increase the risk of childhood anxiety symptoms.

Objective To study the interaction mechanism of anti-cancer drug docetaxel (DTX) andβ-tubulin, to determine the binding sites and the involved amino acids between the β-tubulin and docetaxel, and to analyze the dynamic combination process. Methods The docking binding energy and interaction sites of DTX molecules withβ-tubulin on the potential energy surface were calculated by molecular docking method. The dynamic interaction process of the low binding energy DTX with β-tubulin was simulated by molecular dynamics method. Results The results of molecular docking showed that there are three interaction sites, including N1, N2 and N3, between DTX and β-tubulin. The DTX molecules with structure of No.1, 2 and 4, which have excellent docking energy, were chose for molecular dynamics simulation. As a result, the dynamic change processes of the system complexes from non-equilibrium to equilibrium were obtained. The simulation results showed that the hydrogen bonds formed by the DTX with structure No.1 were significantly higher than those with structures No. 2 and 4. The solvent accessibility surface area of the DTX with structures No.1, 2 and 4 was higher than that of paclitaxel. Conclusion The model of DTX binding toβ-tubulin was established, which could provide theoretical guidance for the design and development of novel paclitaxel anticancer drugs.
