Reviewers play key roles in manuscript processing and publication. This article describes in detail how the reviewer serves their two key roles as a gatekeeper of making publication recommendations for the editorial board and a consultant providing constructive comments to authors to improve the quality of the manuscripts to be published.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate associations between stress, resilience, and burnout in three emotional job sectors. METHODS: We conducted a multi-group comparative study using structural equation modeling and latent mean analysis. In total, 806 participants (403 call center consultants, 270 mental health workers, and 133 school counselors) completed self-administered questionnaires including the Perceived Stress Scale, Korean version of the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale, and Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey. RESULTS: Stress had significant direct effects on resilience and burnout, and resilience had significant direct effects on burnout in all groups. Resilience partially mediated these relationships among call center consultants and school counselors. Stress and burnout were highest in call center consultants, followed, in order, by mental health workers and school counselors. Resilience was highest in school counselors, followed, in order, by mental health workers and call center consultants. The effect size of the latent mean difference was highest for burnout, followed, in order, by resilience and stress. CONCLUSION: Our findings suggest that stress caused by emotional labor can contribute to burnout. Interventions targeted at different sectors are needed to reduce burnout.

Traditional genetic counseling has focused on the target gene and its natural progress with respect to disease risk. Next-generation sequencing (NGS) can produce information on several genetic variants simultaneously, with different functions and consequences for each. Accordingly, determining the status of the patient or consultant and interpreting sequencing results from many genes can largely increase the complexity of genetic counseling. Moreover, the current environment of big data that can be readily shared via the internet and a ubiquitous network provides many different avenues for which a consultant must handle the traditional principle of genetic counseling in different ways. Thus, further consideration and rethinking of genetic counseling principles are necessary in the era of NGS. In this review, we discuss several aspects of genetic counseling that one can encounter when faced with NGS data.

PURPOSE: To estimate the mean contrast sensitivity of normal Korean people and determine the difference between various ages. METHODS: One hundred sixty eight eyes with normal vision and no ocular disease were divided into three groups: the first group was ages between 10 and 19 years (n=32), the second group between 20 and 59 years (n=110), and the third group older than 60 years (n=26). We tested the contrast sensitivity with multivision contrast tester 8000 (Vistech Consultants, Inc., USA) which uses sine wave grating patches of 5 different spatial frequencies under standardized luminance at two different conditions of day and night RESULTS: Mean contrast sensitivities of total eyes at spatial frequencies of 1.5, 3, 6, and 18 cycles per degree were 40, 84, 92, 56, and 20 at day condition and 37, 70, 56, 21, and 5 at night condition, respectively. Mean contrast sensitivity of the first group was higher than that of others at all 5 spatial frequencies and there was no statistical significance between the second group and the third group (p<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Mean contrast sensitivity of normal eyes included in this study was within the normal value of other previous study. There was statistically significant decrease of contrast sensitivity value in older age group.

It is noteworthy that most unidentified dead are unnatural and violent deaths. The accurate identification of a decedent permits certification of death and notification of next of kin. Only then may they proceed with the probate of wills, apply for disbursement of benefits and insurance, and begin to work through the grieving process. Law enforcement agencies need positive identification to pick up the leads of investigation to develop suspects, establish the corpus delicti of homicide and reconstruct the sequence of events of a crime. Agencies and a variety of consultants are involved in recognizing and developing the unique features of a decedent that lead to identification. Cooperative working relations with newspaper and other media will help in publicizing the need for persons with information to come forward diagrammatically. In this paper, 5 individual identification cases in unexpected or homicidal deaths are described. The comparison between the postmortem and antemortem records show that the victims are correctly identified.

PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to identify health promoting behaviors and health problems in contact center consultants, and to provide basic data in order to develop health promoting interventions for these people. The subjects were 680 consultants randomly selected from 6 contact centers out of 31 in D city. The data were collected from March 20, to March 28, 2008. METHODS: The tools for this study were HPLPII developed by Walker et al. (1995) that was modified and translated by Park (2005) and modified CMI for contact center consultants based on CMI developed by Bordman (1994). The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t test, ANOVA, and Scheffe test with the SPSS WIN 14.0 program. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The contact center consultants' health promoting behavior was in a low level and they had certain health problems related to their job such as eye, ear and throat. In consideration of contact center consultants' job characteristics, health education should be provided with the development of systematic health programs.

OBJECTIVE: A purpose of this study was developing the Decision-Support Patient affairs management and building of Data-mart for individually specified department. Because it had a OLTP system where we were researching the hospital. It can not be analyzied variously because the data for the management, accounts, patient affairs and medical record were changing monthly/annually in conditions. also it can not have the specificity of the hospital management information. METHODS: The Data Set that used for analysis process was examined with the patient's Database for a year. They were in hospital where locates in Sun Cheon. For developing patient affairs management program, The Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 was used. and A analysis method of ROLAP which is based on Oracle relation Database was used for general analysis of required works. RESULTS: The patient affairs Data-mart and Decision-Support System was built with the main results of the study. Those took advantage of the analysis for the each department's revenue and doctor's actual results, it also can compare the patient's hospital using frequency. With the analyzied results, each department can have their own special marketing. They can offer to the resistants a lecture, consultant and free service for the health. CONCLUSION: The management, the accounts, patient affairs and the medical record can have been analyzied various changing through the study. The host System had enormous volume, so it takes lots of times what they want to inquire. The host system usually took at night because of low transaction occurrence. The new system which was built with Data-mart had been improved the problem a lot.

The purpose of the article is to describe the various radiology consultation models in the Era of Precision Medicine. Since the inception of our specialty, radiologists have served as consultants to physicians of various disciplines. A variety of radiology consultation services have been described in the literature, including clinical decision support, patient-centric, subspecialty interpretation, and/or some combination of these. In oncology care in particular, case complexity often merits open dialogue with clinical providers. To explore the utility and impact of radiology consultation services in the academic setting, this article will further describe existing consultation models and the circumstances that precipitated their development. The hybrid model successful at our tertiary cancer center is discussed. In addition, the contributions of a consultant radiologist in breast cancer care are reviewed as the archetype of radiology consultation services provided to oncology practitioners.
