Objective To systematically evaluate the effectiveness of diabetes self-management education through telemedicine on glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c). Methods Randomized clinical trials (RCTs) that assessed the effectiveness of remote diabetes self-management education in patients with diabetes were systematically reviewed using multiple electronic databases. The searching time was from database establishment to May 2015. These articles were analyzed after evaluation of their quality. Results Eight RCTs were included involving 2 047 patients. The results of Meta-analysis showed the effectiveness of remote DMSE on reduction of HbA1c of patients with type 2 diabetes was more significant than that of the control group [WMD=-0.50,95%CI (-0.88,-0.12),P < 0.05],while failing to support the effectiveness of remote DMSE on patients with type 1 diabetes [WMD=0.62, 95%CI(-0.19,1.43), P>0.05]. Conclusions Remote DMSE is effective to improve the glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes, while the effect on patients with type 1 diabetes is still not certain. Large-scale and multi-centered RCTs are needed to confirm its effectiveness.

Objective To know the correlation of anxiety and pains of out-patients who had accept-ed operation and the effect of nursing intervention. Methods Divided 173 out-patients with operation in-to the intervention group(83 cases) and the control group(90 cases) randomly. Routine nursing cares was used in the control group, preoperative health education was used in the intervention group in addition. Us-ing the Me-Gill and SF-MPQ to evaluate pains between the 2 groups. Using the S-AI and the T-AI to evaluate the emotional condition between the 2 groups. Results The indexes which can indicated the pains and emotional condition in the intervention group after the health education were significant better than those of in the control group and themselves before the nursing intervention. Conclusions Preoperative pains and emotional condition should be evaluated among out-patients, and then carry out certain counter nursing measures to release patients' pain and negative emotion.

Objective To investigate the correlation between the drug resistance of Helicobacter pylori (H .pylori )and clinical eradication efficacy of bismuth-based quadruple therapies, and to guide clinical rational drug use in the region. Methods A total of 260 patients with H .pylori infections were collected.H .pylori from biopsied gastric mucosa tissues were isolated and cultured.Drug resistant rates of isolated H .pylori to metronidazole, clarithromycin, amoxicillin, levofloxacin and furanzolidone were tested.Patients were randomly divided into clarithromycin, levofloxacin, furanzolidone and metronidazole groups by completely randomized design. All patients received bismuth potassium 220 mg,esomeprazole 20 mg and amoxicillin 1 000 mg twice daily, and according to group received clarithromycin 500 mg, levofloxacin 200 mg,furanzolidone 100 mg and metronidazole 400 mg,twice daily, espectively. The treatment course was 10 days.At least four weeks after treatment,13 Curea breath test or 14 Curea breath test was taken.According to the intention to treat (ITT)and per-protocal (PP),the eradication rate of each group was caculated.Chi square test was performed to compare the differences between groups. Results The drug resistant rate of H .pylori to metronidazole, clarithromycin, amoxicillin, levofloxacin and furanzolidone was 94.2% (146/155 ), 21 .3% (33/155 ), 2.6% (4/155 ), 5 .8% (9/155 ) and 1 .9%(3/155),respectively.According to ITT analysis, the eradication rate of clarithromycin group, levofloxacin group, furanzolidone group and metronidazole group was 81 .5 %(53/65 ),90.8%(59/65 ), 93.8% (61/65 )and 75 .4%(49/65),respectively.And according to PP analysis which was 84.1 %(53/63),92.2%(59/64),95 .3%(61/64)and 79.0%(49/62 ),respectively. The differences between furanzolidone group and metronidazole group, clarithromycin group were staistcally significant (χ2ITT =8.509 and 4.561 ;χ2PP = 7.592 and 4.323,all P < 0.05 ).There was no statistical significance in the H .pylori eradication rate between resistant strains and sensitive strains of each group. Conclusion Bismuth-based quadruple therapy can overcome antibiotic resistance, the eradication rate of protocal with furanzolidone is higher and with good safety, which can be the first-line treatment for H .pylori eradication.

To study the in situ intestinal absorption kinetics of flrubiprofen in rats, the absorption of flurbiprofen in small intestine (duodenum, jejunum and ileum) and colon of rats was investigated using in situ single-pass perfusion method and the drug content was measured by HPLC. The effects of drug concentration on the intestinal absorption were investigated. The K(a) and P(app) values of flurbiprofen in the small intestine and colon had no significant difference (P > 0.05). Drug concentration (4.0, 10.0 and 16.0 mg x L(-1)) had no significant influence on the K(a) values (P > 0.05). However, when concentration was 4.0 mg x L(-1) and 10.0 mg x L(-1), significant effect on the P(app) values (P < 0.05) was found, but significant effect on the P(app) values was not shown between 10.0 mg x L(-1) and 16.0 mg x L(-1) (P > 0.05). The K(a) and P(app) values of flurbiprofen on the perfusion flow rate had significant difference (P < 0.05). Flurbiprofen could be absorbed at all segments of the intestine in rats and had no special absorption window. The absorption of flurbiprofen complies with the facilitated diffusion in the general intestinal segments, and accompany with the cytopsistransport mechanism probably. The perfusion flow rate had significant effect on the K(a) and P(app).

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of three compounds extracted from Tripterygium wilfordii Hook (TW) on angiogenesis in the chick chorioallantoic membrane (CAM). METHODS: Fifty fresh Hongkong Mahua chicken eggs were divided into five groups: PBS-treated group, TW1-, TW2- and TW3-treated groups and Rg3-treated group. After disinfection, the eggs were incubated for six days in a constant temperature box with the temperature being controlled within 37.8 degrees C, then exposed CAM, laid the filter papers with specimen on the CAM, and the eggs were incubated for another two days. CAM was fixed with the mixture of methyl alcohol and acetone at room temperature for about 15 min, and then cutting the CAM, taking photos and observing the angiogenesis in the CAM. RESULTS: There were many CAM vessels in the PBS-treated group and the blood vessel net could be seen clearly. The number of CAM vessels in the TW1-, TW2- and TW3-treated groups (10 microg/egg) was much less than that in the PBS-treated group. Furthermore, the frame of the vessels was not clear, and the color was obscure. Inhibition rates of angiogenesis in the TW1-, TW2- and TW3-treated groups were 80%, 60% and 100% respectively, while the inhibition rate of angiogenesis in the Rg3-treated group (10 microg/egg) was only 10%. CONCLUSION: TW1, TW2 and TW3 can obviously restrain the angiogenesis in CAM and still need further study.
