1.Particular situation when using Microsoft-Excel in biological statistics
Pharmaceutical Journal 2005;0(7):2-4
Calculating mean number and standard error or standard deviation by normal calculation method has the correct result as using Microsoft – Excel. Applying Summary Statistics in Descriptive Statistics, we get mean number, standard error, standard deviation and many other results including Sample Variance. If two variances of two samples are the same, we use T- test method. Therefore, we have concrete value of p, which can be use to identify higher or lower expressed value

2.Study on the change of tear secretion and the surface of cornea on the official personnel using computers
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2004;294(1):34-38
62 people (124 eyes) age from 21 to 49 (35 males, 27 females) are divided into 2 groups: in the first group 18 objects (36 eyes) with conjunctivitis, in the second group 44 objects (88 eyes) without conjunctivitis. All objects have taken Shirmer test (I and II), BUT, test of Rose-bengal and fluorescein. All are applied with Sanlein (Santen Agency). And those tests are measured after 1 and 3 months. Results: The Shirmer I and II, and BUT in the group 2 is higher than in the group 1, though BUT of both groups is at under normal level. Test of Rose-bengal 1 and 2 in group 1 is higher than in group 2. The intergrity of epithelial cells is also changed. Tear secretion of both groups at normal physiological level. Sanlein has good effect, partially improves tear indicator

3.Effects of occupational computer on bank staffs
Journal of Practical Medicine 1998;344(1):5-8
Participants in this study were 98 bank staffs who were 20-40 years old and had worked with computer for 2 to 10 years at Vietcombank and Incombank. The results showed that the labor condition of bank staffs have been not good: working places are cramped, in-door CO2 level is high, light condition and working site design is not good, noisy. Rate of staffs who have complaints about bone-muscular problems and visual symptoms after a labor shift is high. Findings of visiotest showed that working with computer have effects on visual function as decrease in power of vision and increase in the time to see stereo images

4.Working conditions and health of computer users
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2001;(11):4-5
A study on the working environment, ergonomics(problems related with working place, skin, stress, reproductive health..) for computer users has shown that the causes of skin disorders were unknown. There was no evidence of the relation between the reproductive problems and computer using. The rate of vision disturbs in computer users was much higher than this in others. The causes of the bone disorders in computer users were unknown. Properties and level of stress depended on many factors. This paper also regarded to the close room syndrome and impacts of the short frequent electromagnetism

Aiming at the current situation of high cost, huge volume, complex operation and difficulty in real application of pulse analyzer, this study designs and implements a portable pulse detection system based on IoT. The design utilizes Raspberry Pi 3B+, STM32 series MCU and cloud server to collect, store, display and recognize pulse signals at CUN, GUAN and CHI. The system is small in size and low in cost, which can be connected with cloud server through network to make full use of resources. The experimental results show that the recognition accuracy of the main feature points of the pulse signal by the portable pulse analyzer is higher than 97%, which has a broad prospect of development and application.

Chinese Journal of Medical Instrumentation 2021;45(2):159-162
Aiming at the low efficiency and low quality detection level of the manual infusion set, a gas detection system for infusion set based on STM32 single-chip microcomputer was designed. The detection system includes hardware system design and software system design. The hardware system is based on the STM32F103 single-chip microcomputer. It mainly designs the gas pressure sensor acquisition circuit and the multi-way solenoid valve control circuit. The software system uses a C ++ real-time operating system to ensure system monitoring's real-time performance and validity. Test data is transmitted to the upper computer and displayed via USB serial communication. The experiment proves that the infusion set gas detection system can perform gas detection on the infusion set. The system has the characteristics of stability and high accuracy. The relative error of the experimental measurement is within ±5%, and the detection efficiency is better than manual detection.

Korean Journal of Urology 2006;47(5):489-492
PURPOSE: As our society ages, a disease like benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) are increasing and needs consequent management. Recently, through the expansion of the communication infrastructure and terminals, a network services can be provided. However, the concern about distant medical management is increasing. We introduce here the Personal BPH Control Program (PBCP) and its application to clinical patients. MATERIALS AND METHODS: We have asked BPH patients to input the variable elements on the digital survey through the Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) once a week. We used the International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) and the average flow rate as the variable elements. We have used an algorithm to determine the patients condition. With this, we have developed a program that helps patients to adjust their visits to the hospital. RESULTS: According to the input elements, we have determined that the patients' condition was good (visit the hospital every 3 months) when the IPSS decreased, compared with the baseline and when the average flow rate was up above 2ml/sec. The patients' condition was a warning (visit the hospital every 2 months) when the IPSS was increased to below 3 and the average flow rate was down below +/- 2ml/sec, and the patients' condition was urgent when the IPSS increased to above 4 and the average flow rate was down above 3ml/sec. CONCLUSIONS: We expect that the PBCP has great socioeconomic utility when applying it to patients. A portable personal apparatus for measuring the flow rate is now being developed. When sufficient examples of applying the symptom algorithm have accumulated, we are going to report afterward the prospects of using the PBCP in the future.

10.Bioinformatics
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2004;0(8):9-11
XXIst century - a biological century follows by the last decade of XXth century - a computer age. During many decades of rapid scientific development, a new scientific branch was born and grew up too fast, it is bioinformatics. However, the concept and application of bioinformatics isn't known widely. So, in this article, author introduced concept bioinformatics and its applications in biotechnology, medicine and pharmacy, forensic biology
