Thirty male weanling WAK strain rats were divided rondomly into 6 groups. All of the diets were pure synthetics according to AOAC. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd group were given diets containing 6, 15 and 24 ppm of zinc respectively, and 10% protein for all three groups, on the other hand, the 4th, 5th and 6th group were given diets containing 5% 10% and 20% of protein respectively, and 15 ppm of zinc. After feeding in stainless steel cage singly for 50 days rats were given intubately solution of 65Zn containing 1.5 ?Ci per 100g of body weight. Then the faeces and urine of rats were collected on 5 consecutive days, and the zinc absorption and retention of all of the tested rats were determined with method of 65Zn as tracer. The results indicated that. (1) The zinc absorption and retention of rats fed on the lowest zinc level were increased significantly. (2) The zinc absorption and retention of rats fed the lowest protein level were decreased significantly, and were improved clearly by increasing protein intake level. (3) The urine excretion of zinc is very low and can not be used as an index in zinc metabolism research. The methodology for determining zinc absorption and retention in organism with method of 65Zn and total zinc is discussed.

Deer antlers are the unique mammalian organs that can be periodically regenerated,i.e.,they hold interest for researchers on stem cells and regenerative medicine, and have the potential to become an excellent biomedical research model.Deer antler regeneration may use stem cells.Antler growth appears to involve specific stimulation of the necessary stem cells present in the locality, and involves similar mechanisms to those used in limb development, unlike the regenerative process in the newt.Development regulation of antler and growth mechanism of antler stem cells have significance in limb regenerated medicine and stem cell research. Many scientists have carried out thorough research on the deer antlers development, thus, have drawn many concepts. This article reviews the field of deer antlers development such as antler regeneration and stem cells, and introduces research technique of antler development and relevant theories.

Objective:
To investigate the effects of critical care chest ultrasonic examination (CCUE) by intensive care physician on fluid management among septic shock patients in pediatric intensive care unit (PICU).
Methods:
Forty children from PICU who were diagnosed as septic shock in Shenzhen Bao′an Maternal and Child Health Hospital were included in this study.Twenty-two of them who were hospitalized in PICU during January 2017 to December 2018, under the care of 4 PICU physicians who had certificates of the Chinese Critical Ultrasound Study Group(CCUSG) were defined as CCUE group.Eighteen PICU patients from January 2014 to December 2015 having no access to CCUE were recruited as control group. Both groups were treated according to the septic shock management guidelines with routine anti-shock and anti-infection therapy, as well as mechanical ventilation.Fluid management following conventional protocol was performed in the control group. While in the CCUE group, CCUE was applied to monitor the hemodynamic status for adjustment in fluid management.
Results:
Compared with the control group, the CCUE group had shorter mechanical ventilation time as well as less fluid intake and output within 48 hours after admission[(4.68±2.06)d vs.(7.33±0.49)d, (6.34±1.85)ml/(kg·h) vs.(8.55±0.39) ml/(kg·h), (2.47±1.22)ml/(kg·h) vs.(6.18±1.72)ml/(kg·h)] (
