To develop a method for the quality control of Astrgalus membranaceus (Fisch.) Bge. powder for injection (AMPI). Methods TLC-spectrophotometry was used to determine the content of astragaloside A in AMPI. The mobile phase was chloroform-methanol-water (65∶30∶10) and detected at the wave length of 418 nm. Results The regression equation within the spotted range of 80~240 μg was A=1.538 C+ 0.189, with good linearity, r=0.999 8. The average recovery rate was 98.68% and RSD=2.52%(n=5). Conclusion The method used simple and easily available instruments and the rusults obtained were reliable and specific, suitable for the quality control of AMPI.

OBJECTIVE:To make an investigation on the quality of decoctions of traditional Chinese medicine prepared by decocting device and fire heating decocting method.METHODS:To compare the chemical compositions in decoctions of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge prepared by above-mentioned two methods and to take the contents of danshensu and protocatechualdehyde as indices, both of which were determined by HPLC.RESULTS:There were no evident difference between the two methods in extracting chemical compositions. In addition, the contents of danshensu and protocatechualdehyde prepared by decocting device were as2.97times and5.6times as those prepared by fire heating decocting method respectively.CONCLUSION:The prepa?ration of decoction of Saliva miltiorrhiza Bunge by decocting device can double the effective constituents. This provides scien?tific basis for making rational use of herbs.

OBJECTIVE:To explore the potential correlation between clinical efficacy of pemetrexed in the treatment of ad-vanced breast cancer and TS mRNA expression. METHODS:Patients with advanced breast cancer were recruited in our study. Three cycles of pemetrexed was given to these patients,TS mRNA expression of their tumor tissues were detected. The relationship of ther-apeutic efficacies of different chemotherapy with TS mRNA expression were observed and compared during the study period. RE-SULTS:58 patients received pemetrexed chemotherapy and therapeutic efficacies of them were evaluated. One patient (1.7%) had complete response,19 patients(32.8%)had partial response,31 patients(53.4%)had stable response and 7 patients(12.1%)has progressive disease. Objective response rate was 34.5%,and disease control rate was 87.9%. TS mRNA expression level of 55 pa-tients with completed TS mRNA expression analysis varied from 0.04 to 5.11,with a median of 0.62. Mann-Whitney rank test showed that, responders had lower TS mRNA expression than nonsponders at all visits, there was statistical significance (P<0.05). Chi-square test showed that patients with low expression level of baseline(before chemotherapy)TS mRNA had significantly higher objective response rate(63.3%)than those with high expression(36.7%),there was statistical significance(P<0.05). CON-CLUSIONS:TS mRNA expression level is related to therapeutic efficacy of pemetrexed, which may be useful for predicting thera-peutic efficacy of pemetrexed therapy in patients with advanced breast cancer.

Objective To search for perfect and logical evaluation indexes of range of motion of manual performance and maximal voluntary range of motion. Methods From mechanism of hand movement and characteristics of manual action, some relative comprehensive evaluation indexes on range of motion of manual performance were provided.Twenty six undergraduates (14 male and 12 female)participated in the test for 16 indexes. Results The maximal voluntary range of motion of thumb, four fingers and wrist were obtained. Conclusion The results can provide foundation for ergonomics design of spacesuit gloves.

Objective To discuss the efficacy and safety of covered Cheatham-Platinum stent (CCPS) implantation in treating coarctation of the aorta (CoA).Methods The clinical data of 11 patients with CoA who had received CCPS implantation were retrospectively analyzed. Results Successful implantation of single CCPS was accomplished in all 11 patients. After the implantation, the diameter of coarctation site was immediately dilated from preoperative (4.76+0.89) mm to postoperative (12.86+0.90) mm (t=24.86,P<0.001),and the average systolic blood pressure difference across the coarctation was immediately reduced from preoperative (38.55+10.02) mmHg to postoperative (9.82+6.60) mmHg,the difference was statistically significant (t=10.8,P<0.001).The patients were followed up for 3-79 months, with a mean of (31.91±27.58) months. The clinical symptoms were relieved in all patients and the activity tolerance was obviously improved. No complications such as endoleak, acute injury of aortic wall,re-coarctation or re-stenosis,vascular injury of puncture site,or death occurred in all patients. Conclusion For the treatment of CoA,implantation of CCPS has excellent short-term and mid-term effect, meanwhile, this technique can effectively avoid complications such as aortic wall iniurv.(J Intervent Radiol.2017.26:211-214)

OBJECTIVE: Increasing of adhesion between leukemia cells and endothelial cells during all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) treatment plays an important role in retinoic acid syndrome. This work observed the effects of tripterine on this ATRA-caused increasing in adhesion. METHODS: The effects of tripterine on ATRA-induced expressions of adhesive molecules in acute promyelocytic leukemia cell line NB4 and human umbilical vascular endothelial cells (HUVEC) were detected by flow cytometry. The effects of tripterine on adhesion between ATRA-treated NB4 and HUVEC were determined by adhesive assays. RESULTS: ATRA caused remarkable elevation of intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) in NB4 cells, which could be significantly reduced by tripterine (P<0.01). The expressions of E-selectin, vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1) and ICAM-1 in HUVEC were elevated by conditioned medium from ATRA-induced NB4 (ATRA-NB4-CM) (P<0.01), and inhibited by tripterine with inhibition rates being 25.3%, 42.4% and 61.0% respectively. ATRA increased the adhesion between NB4 and HUVEC, which was reversed completely by tripterine. CONCLUSION: Tripterine can inhibit ATRA-caused adhesion between leukemia cells and endothelial cells, and it might be a potential agent for treating retinoic acid syndrome.
