Objective To evaluate the value of DNA quantitative analysis in diagnosis of breast tumor. Methods The data of 128 cases diagnosed with breast disease from Feb.2005 to Jan.2006 in Department of Pathology in Wuhan Center Hospital were collected, among whom 72 cases had benign breast lesion,10 cases had boundary breast lesion and 46 cases had malignant breast disease.Automated DNA imaging cytometry was used to identify DNA indexes of the 128 cases. Results The positive rate was 1.39% (1/72),30.00% (3/10) and 78.26% (36/46) respectively in benign breast lesion, boundary breast lesion and malignant breast disease. The difference had statistical significance (P < 0.05).In invasive ductal breast cancer, the positive rate was 57.14% (4/7),76.47% (13/17) and 100% (18/18) respectively for breast cancer of grade Ⅰ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ.Conclusion Automated DNA imaging cytometry is of some value in analyzing the malignant grade of breast cancer and predicting the prognosis of breast diseases.

Objective To study the clinicopathological and immunohistochemical features of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of breast. Methods Three cases with breast SCC were studied by analyzing their clinical data, histomorphology and immunophenotype. The related literature was reviewed. Results The patients were all females.Their ages ranged from 37 to 50 years, with 43 years as the medium. The tumor diameter was 2-9 cm,with 4.3 cm as the medium.Metastasis of axillary lymph node was found in one case, accounting for 33% of the total. Two cases had painless lumps in their left breasts. One case had a lump with local inflammation, pain and ulcer in her left breast.Histopathological examination showed the polygonal and spindle-shaped cells with eosinophilic cytoplasm were found in cancer nest,as well as the prominent intercellular bridges and keratin pearls were found to be rich in three cases.Interstitial fibrosis with hyalinization and lymphocytic infiltrate around the tumor was also found.Immunohistochemistry showed ER,PR,HER-2,CK18 and SMA were negative while CK,CK14,CK5/6,p63,S-100 and vimentin were positive. Conclusions SCC is a rare subtype of breast carcinoma with distinct histopathological and morphological features.SCC is a typical basal-like breast carcinoma, and the majority of breast SCC appear a basal-like immunophenotype with poor prognosis.

Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of the innovative topical ozone therapy for infantile atopic dermatitis. Methods:Sixty children with atopic dermatitis were divided into a treatment group and a control group. The treatment group was showered with ozonated water (3-5 times a week) and smeared with ozonated oil (twice a day),while the control group was washed with warm running water and smeared with base oil, adding moisturizer if necessary. The treatment course was 2 weeks.Efficacy and side effect were evaluated. Results:The skin exudation was reduced and erosion was healing after 3-5 days topical ozone therapy for infantile atopic dermatitis. The effective rates were 80.0% and 20.0% in the treatment group and control group for 1 week, and 89.6% and 30.7% for 2 weeks, respectively, with significant difference between the 2 groups (P<0.001).Conclusion:Innovative treatment of infantile atopic dermatitis with topical ozone application is safe and effective, which is worth popularizing in clinic.

Objective:To understand the characteristics and differences of diarrhea-related symptoms caused by different pathogens, and the clinical features of various pathogens causing diarrhea. Methods:Etiology surveillance program was conducted among 20 provinces of China from 2010 to 2016. The acute diarrhea outpatients were collected from clinics or hospitals. A questionnaire was used to survey demographics and clinical features. VFeces samples were taken for laboratory detection of 22 common diarrhea pathogens, to detect and analyze the clinical symptom pattern characteristics of the patient’s.Results:A total of 38 950 outpatients were enrolled from 20 provinces of China. The positive rates of Rotavirus and Norovirus were the highest among the five diarrhea-causing viruses (Rotavirus: 18.29%, Norovirus: 13.06%). In the isolation and culture of 17 diarrhea-causing bacterial, Escherichia coli showed the highest positive rates (6.25%). The clinical features of bacterial diarrhea and viral diarrhea were mainly reflected in the results of fecal traits and routine examination, but pathogenic Vibrio infection was similar to viral diarrhea. Conclusion:Infectious diarrhea presents different characteristics due to various symptoms which can provide a basis for clinical diagnosis.

Malus floribunda Siebold. (Malus) is widely cultivated all over the world, which is of high ornamental value and breeding significance. Comparative analysis of the chloroplast genome can help enrich the phylogenetic relationship and facilitate germplasm utilization of Malus. Based on the whole genome sequencing data, a complete chloroplast genome (M. floribunda) with tetrad structure was assembled. The chloroplast genome (160 037 bp) was composed of a large single-copy (LSC) region (88 142 bp), inverted repeat (IR) B (26 353 bp), a small single-copy (SSC) region (19 189 bp), and IRA (26 353 bp). A total of 111 genes were annotated: 78 protein-coding genes, 29 tRNA genes and 4 rRNA genes. In addition, a large number of repeat sequences were identified in the genome, which was slightly different from that of M. sieboldii and M. toringoides. As for the relative synonymous codon usage, 30 high-frequency codons were found, and the codons tended to end with A/T. The results of interspecific sequence alignment and boundary analysis suggested the sequence variation of the LSC region was large, and the expansion and contraction of the SC region and IR region of the eight Malus species were generally similar. According to the phylogenetic analysis of chloroplast genome sequences, M. floribunda, M. hupehensis, and M. toringoides were grouped into one clade. The findings in this study can provide data support for the development of genetic markers and utilization of germplasm resources in the future.
