Objective To predict the spatial distribution of Himalayan marmot using geographic information system (GIS) and Genetic Algorithm for Rule-set Production (GARP) model based on the monitoring data of Himalayan marmot in Qinghai Province. Methods Based on the data of routine monitoring and field survey by Global Position System (GPS) of Himalayan marmot, the position data was processed by spatial mapping using ArcGIS software.Ecological environment variables related to Himalayan marmot including terrain, slope, temperature, precipitation, vegetation, land use and other related variables were extracted and analyzed. The prediction model of Himalayan marmot distribution was constructed based on GARP model and ArcGIS software, and the spatial distribution mapping and analysis were carried out. Results Totally 198 points of Himalayan marmot were obtained by combining the recovery position with GPS information. The average model error of omission was 1.998 through the GARP modeling, while the optimal 100 model were highly statistically significant (all x2 > 163.03,all P < 0.01).The spatial distribution of predicted probability was divided into three grades including less than < 40%,40%-< 80% and 80%-100% using ArcGIS,and the area with the prediction probability of 80%-100% was the most suitable distribution area of Himalayan marmot. Conclusions The spatial distribution of plague host animal is predicted successfully using GIS and GARP ecological niche model. The result is more accurate compared to the statistic area by administrative region, which can provide important reference for plague prevention and control.

The implementation process management plays a important role for the quality of centralized safety monitoring study of post-marketing Chinese medical injections. One of the critical link is hospital.Currently, there is no principle or specification for hospital choosing, number of monitoring points, data collection responsible part and forms of data collection as well. These issues caused uneven quality, huge differences in results and questioned conclusion.Based on the previous research experience, this paper focused on discussing the link of hospital where research data may be influenced, and proposed some suggestions.

Objective To investigate the correlation between toll-like receptor 9 (TLR9) gene 2848G/A polymorphism and primary antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA) associated small vasculitis (AAV). Methods A case-control study was performed among 135 patients diagnosed with AAV and 140 disease-free control and we test the serum biochemical parameter. Polymorphism was analyzed by polymerase chain restricted fragments length polymorphism. As for statistic method, according to the character of data, we performed t-test, chi-square test, Spearman grade related analysis and one-way ANOVA. Results ① The frequencies of AA, GG, GA genotype of TLR9 2848 in AAV patients were 14.07%, 38.52%, and 47.71%, respectively; ② Significant increase in IgM was observed in AA genotype than GG+GA genotype in AAV patients (F=4.561, P<0.05). ③ There was no significant difference between AI and CI in AA, GA and GG genotype in AAV patients (F=2.115, 0.760, P>0.05). Conclusion AA, GA and GG genotypes are detected in TLR9 2848G/A in patients with AAV in Guangxi, without significant correlation with susceptibility to primary AAV in Guangxi.

Chitosan-carboxymethyl-chitosan complex film was prepared by freeze drying. Some tests in vivo and in animal were employed, in order to evaluate it on biology. All results indicated that the film has not only good surface compatibility but also good structural compatibility. It can be more suitable for GTR technology.

ObjectiveTo investigate the relationship between complement-3(C3) and progression of early cerebral infarction.Methods168 consecutive patients with acute cerebral infarction within the first 24 hours from onset were recruited.Fasting venous blood sample was drawn on the morning of the second or the third day after admission.C3 and other clinical chemistry variables were measured. The relationship of C3 and progressing stroke(PS) was analyzed by Logistic regression.Results68 cases(40.48%) were considered as PS.Level of serum C3 in PS patients was 1.28±0.20 g/L higher than in those with non-PS(1.16±0.25 g/L,P=(0.000)).A higher C3 accompanied a higher tendency of prevalence of PS(P=0.001).Logistic regression analysis showed that C3 was significantly correlated with PS(OR for each 1.0 g/L=7.27;95% CI=1.52~36.39; P=0.013).ConclusionElevated serum C3 may play an important role in the prevalence of PS.

Objective To explore the value of polymerase chain reaction(PCR) to detect pathogens in ventilator-associated pneumonia(VAP) in children undergoing congenital heart disease(CHD) operation. Methods Forty-eight children selected from 95 cases with VAP underwent CHD operation were admitted in the department of CICU in our hospital from November 2016 to July 2017.Sputum specimens were separately collected by the bronchoalveolar lavage(BAL) and endotracheal tube attracts(ETA) methods, and the patho-gens were detected by culture and PCR assay. Results Nineteen specimens were found to be positive after 72 h of culture.A total of 20 pathogens were detected and 2 samples were mixed infection(more than one pathogen),and the positive rate was 39.2%(19/48).For PCR assay,44 pathogens from 31 samples were detected for just 24 h,22 samples were single pathogen infection,9 samples were mixed pathogen infection, and the positive rate was 65.3%(31/48).Compared with culture method,PCR assay could sharply increase the detection rate of every pathogen.Besides, the positive rate of the BAL or ETA for PCR assay was almost the same(45/48). Conclusion PCR assay for detecting pathogens is rapid, accurate and effective, which should be combined with culture method to detect for infectious pathogen. The ETA is the desired method to collect the sputum of the patients.
