AIM To investigate the effect of oral roxithromycin on serum concentrations at steady state and its pharmacokinetics of aminophylline in New Zealand rabbits. METHODS The experiment was divided into 2 stages: (Ⅰ) The subjects only received a four-day course of oral aminophylline until steady-state; (Ⅱ) aminophylline and roxithromycin were coadministrated from the d 5～10. After the last dose of aminophylline at the end of each study stage, serum theophylline concentrations were determined with HPLC. Aim To probe into the best conditions for the establishment of endometriosis model in rats by the orthogonal experiment method.Methods Autotransplantation was used to establish the endometriosis model in rats by the orthogonal experiment method in which four main factors were considered to optimize the condition of model,according to the volume of heterotopic endometrium.Results The para ligament of uterus was the best place for transplanting.Both dissecting muscular layer and injecting estrin played an important role in the establishment of endometriosis model in rats. The value of four factors decreased progressively according to the injection of estrin,the dissection of muscular layer,the direction of endometrium implantation and oestrus.Conclusions By optimizing the condition for the establishment of endometriosis model in rats by orthogonal experiment,the volume of heterotopic endometrium was improved.A technology platform for pharmacodynamics research was thus offered.

AIM: The bacteriostatic effects of Shenning suppository in the treatment of vaginitis were investigated in vivo and in vitro. METHODS: The minimal inhibitory concentration(MIC)against ten clinical pathogens isolates was determined by tube dilution method,minimal bactericide concentration(MBC) was measured by the agar dilution method.The model of vaginitis from Candida albicans in the rabbit was investigated. RESULTS: Shenning suppository could inhibit and/or destroy Staphylococcus aureus,Candida albicans,ect in virto.It also improved the pathological change in the model of vaginitis from Candida albicans in the rabbit. CONCLUSION: Shenning Suppository could treat bacterial and mycotic vaginitis

Objective To explore the effects of Sodium Ferulateon treating patients with plateau derived chronic cor pulmonale in acute ecacerbation phase at high altitude.Methods Forty-one cases with plateau derived chronic cor pulmonale were randomly divided into treatment group (22 cases) and control group (19 cases).All the patients in the two groups were given the same routine treatments including anti-infection,expectorant,balancing hydro-electrolytic discord,persistent inspiration of low-flow oxygen and inhalation by ultrasonic nebulization.Patients in treatment group were plus given the Sodium Ferulate at dose of 300 mg by intravenous drop once daily for 2 weeks.Hemorrheology,hepatic and renal function were examined.Results After treatment,the level of whole blood viscosity and plasma viscosity in treatment group were (4.91 ± 1.60) mPa · s and (1.56 ± 0.49) mPa · s,lower than that before treatment ((5.78 ± 1.65) mPa · s and (1.87 ± 0.65) mPa · s,P =0.042,0.041).There were no significant difference in the control group in terms of whole blood viscosity and plasma viscosity.There was not abnormal change of hepatic and renal function of two groups after treatment.Conclusion Sodium Ferulate therapy was effective to treatment of the plateau derived chronic cor pulmonale in acute ecacerbation phase.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Chushizhiyang ointment for the treatment of mild atopic dermatitis in infants.Methods A multicenter,randomized,open,active-controlled clinical trial was conducted.A total of 204 infants with atopic dermatitis were enrolled and randomly divided into 2 groups to be topically treated with Chushizhiyang ointment (test group,n =103) and hydrocortisone butyrate cream (control group,n =101),respectively,for 2 weeks.The improvement of eczema area and severity index (EASI) scores and quality of life was evaluated at 7 days and 14 days after the treatment,so was the incidence of adverse events and adverse reactions.Results Ninety-eight infants in the test group and 101 in the control group were included in the full analysis set,which revealed that the disease severity significantly decreased after the treatment in both groups.The EASI scores at the baseline and on days 7 and 14 were 2.47 ± 4.04,0.92 ± 1.25 and 0.39 ± 1.04 respectively in the test group,as well as 2.13 ± 2.01,0.85 ± 1.58 and 0.45 ± 1.65 respectively in the control group.Furthermore,the test group and control group both showed that EASI scores on days 7 and 14 significantly decreased compared with those at the baseline (the test group:T =-1 666,-1 793,respectively,both P ＜ 0.001;the control group:T =-1 951,-1 941,respectively,both P ＜ 0.001).No significant differences in EASI scores at the baseline or on days 7 and 14 were observed between the test group and control group (all P ＞ 0.05).The response rates in the test group and control group were 47.96％ (47/98) and 55.44％ (56/101) respectively on day 7,as well as 79.59％ (78/98) and 84.16％ (85/101) respectively on day 14,and there were also no significant differences between the two groups (both P ＞ 0.05).The adverse reactions mainly manifested as erythema,itching and scaling in the test group,as well as hypopigmentation,telangiectasia,scaling and hyperpigmentation in the control group.No significant difference in the incidence of adverse events was found between the test group (2.9％,3/103) and control group (6.9％,7/101).Conclusion Chushizhiyang ointment shows definite efficacy for mild atopic dermatitis in infants with good safety and tolerability,and can be a teatment option for mild atopic dermatitis in infants.

Objective To investigate the effects of four interior-warming drugs( galangal,cinnamon,evodia rutaecarpa,and dried ginger)on the tension of ileum smooth muscle and Ca2+-ATPase on the cell membrane in rabbits. Methods The effects of galangal,cinnamon,evodia rutaecarpa,and dried ginger were examined on normal ileum smooth muscle,in vitro intestinal muscle contraction caused by acetylcholine(ACh),barium chloride(BaCl2 )and histamine(His), and ACh-induced calcium release by using BL-420E+ biological signal collection and processing system.The average tension was measured within 1 min before delivery and within 3 minutes after the treatment,and the inhibition rate was calculated according to the average tension value.The effects of sera containing galangal,cinnamon,evodia rutaecarpa,and dried ginger on Ca2+-ATPase activity on the cell membrane of the intestinal smooth muscle were examined by phosphorus method. Results Galangal,cinnamon,evodia rutaecarpa,and dried ginger at high concentrations could restrain in vitro intestinal contraction in normal circumstances(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Significant inhibitory effects on intestinal contraction caused by ACh,His and BaCl2 were found in low,medium and high concentration groups(P<0.01).There was a dose-effectiveness relationship between the inhibition rate and final drug concentrations.The ACh-induced intracellular and extracellular calcium dependent contraction were significantly inhibited by the four interior-warming drugs( P < 0. 05 or P < 0. 01). The Ca2+-ATPase activities were( 0. 384 ± 0.070),(0.302±0.016),(0.307±0.016),(0.296±0.016),(0.313±0.003)U·mg-1 ,respectively,in intestinal smooth muscle in normal control group and high concentration groups of galangal,cinnamon,evodia rutaecarpa,and dried ginger(P<0.01). Conclusion Interior-warming drugs may relax intestinal smooth muscle by reducing the intracellular calcium release and the extracellular calcium inflow via receptor-controlled calcium channels,and inhibiting the Ca2+-ATPase activity in smooth muscle.

Objective To investigate the efficacy of dual plating internal fixation with olecranon osteotomy approach for the emergency surgery of complex distal humeral fractures (intereondylar and supracondylar fracture).Methods Forty-seven cases of complex distal humeral fractures were treated with emergency surgery from May 2002 to May 2007.The dual plating internal fLxation was implemented with olecranon osteotomy approach in a posteubital slight arc shaped median incision.Early postoperative rehabilitation was necessary.Results The follow-up period differed from 5 to 50 months,averaged 18 months.All fractures healed in 3-6 months after surgery.The Cassebaum scoring system was used for the assessment of cubital joint function,36 cases were excellent,4 cases were good,5 cases were common,and 2 cases were bad.The excellent and good rate was 85.1%.Conclusions For complex distal humeral fractures,dual plating internal fixation emergency surgery with olecranon osteotomy approach ensures the early postoperative rehabilitation of the cubital joint and the maximum possible functional recovery.It shows the efficacy is satisfactory.
