Objective To report a new surgical approach (modified anconeus flap approach) in which the anconeus and part of triceps are reflected in the treatment of distal intercondylar humerus fracture (AO type C).Methods To design the modified anconeus flap approach, the anatomy of the distal tendon of the triceps brachii and the anconeus was studied using 15 cadaveric adult specimens (30 sides). The new surgical approach was compared with the triceps-reflecting anconeus pedicle (TRAP) approach in terms of the area of exposure at the distal humeral articular surface.Furthermore, the new surgical approach was applied in 16 patients who had been treated for intercondylar humerus fracture (AO type C) from May 2005 to May 2013.The clinical outcomes were evaluated using the Mayo elbow performance score (MEPS) and Broberg-Morrey scoring systems. Results The blood supply and innervation of the anconeus was interrupted minimally during incision along the radical edge of triceps tendon. The area of exposure at the distal humeral articular surface provided by the part triceps and anconeus reflecting approach and the medial humerus approach was 42.66% ± 0.03% at the elbow flexion from 0° to 50°.This was significantly smnaller than that provided by the TRAP approach (46.11% ±0.03%) (P <0.05).Of the 16 patients,15 obtained complete follow-ups from 6 months to 4 years(average,16.5 months). The mean MEPS at the last follow-up was 90.5 points (range, from 82 to 93 points),with 10 excellent and 4 good cases and one poor case. The Broberg & Morrey score system showed 11 patients with no articular cartilage degeneration (level-0),3 patients with level-1 degeneration, and 2 patients with level-2 degeneration. Conclusion The modified anconeus flap approach proposed in the present study provides clear surgical vision and needs no olecranon osteotomy or olecranon dissection or ablation of the major triceps brachii tendon for intercondylar humerus fractures, thereby leading to early active motion and satisfactory clinical outcomes.

Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 1956;0(01):-
The influence of Rosa davurica pall juice on pulmonary adenoma induced by urethan was observed in the experiment, which lasted for 20 weeks. 250 mice were divided into 4 groups at random. Group A was set as control receiving basal diet and tap water only. Another 3 groups were given basal diet, however, group B was given Rosa davurica pall juice 0.2ml/20g boody weight once a week, group C 0.1% urethan solution for drinking freely and group D 0.1% urethan solution plus the juice. The mouss body weight was weighed once a week; the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), the level of lipoperoxides (LPO), lymphocyte transformation and hemolysin were determined once a month, the pulmonary pathological examination was made also once a month. The obtained data were carried out with a 2?2 factorial analysis. The result were as follows:(1)the incidence of pulmonary adenoma of group C(100%) was significantly higher than that of group D (69%) at the e-nd of experiment (P

Objective To discuss the feasibility and long-term effect of free latissimus dorsi muscle flap in repair of severe lower extremity injury in children. Methods From July 1999 to June 2004, nine child patients (at age of 6-13 years) with severe lower extremity injury involving soft tissue defects a-round the calf and the foot associated with complex open fractures, bare dislocation, and injury of the nerve, tendon and artery were repaired with free latissimus donsi flap, with flap area ranging from 30 cm ×12 cm to 10 cm × 5 cm. Results All the latissimus dorsi flaps survived, with success rate of 100%. A follow-up for 4-9 years showed that the flap had sound shape and function and normal blood supply, without significant influence on donor area. Conclusion Latissimus dorsi flap has advantages of constant anatomical site, abundant blood supply, massive area, strong anti-infection ability and less in-fluence on donor area and hence is an ideal method for repairing severe lower extremity injury in children.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of scalp point penetration combined with rehabilitation training on content of endothelin (ET) and calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) in plasma of patients with acute cerebral hemorrage (ACH).Methods90 ACH patients were randomly divided into the scalp point penetration combined with rehabilitation group (group A), the rehabilitation group (group B) and control group (group C) with 30 cases in each group. The radioimmunoassay was adopted to determinate the content of ET and CGRP in plasma of patients.ResultsAfter treatment, contents of ET and CGRP of all patients were decreased significantly (P<0.01), but group A and group B had a significant difference compared with the group C (P<0.01), and there was also a significant difference between the group A and group B.ConclusionThe scalp point penetration combined with rehabilitation training can regulate the content of ET and CGRP in plasma and make them under a dynamic balance.

OBJECTIVE:To observe clinical efficacy and safety of Mailuoning injection combined with benazepril in the treat-ment of chronic glomerulonephritis. METHODS:130 patients with chronic glomerulonephritis were randomly divided into observa-tion group and control group, with 65 cases in each group. Both groups received rountine treatment as low salt and fat diet. Control group was additionally given Benazepril tablet 10 mg,qd;observation group was additionally given Mailuoning injection 20 ml added into 5% Sodium chloride injection 250 ml,ivgtt,qd,on the basis of control group,20 days of drug withdrawal every 10 days. Both group received 4 months of treatment. Clinical efficacy of 2 groups were observed as well as the levels of BUN,UCr, SCr and 24 h urine protein quantitative (UPE) before and after the treatment. The incidence of ADR was compared between 2 groups. RESULTS:Total effective rate of observation group was 83.1%,which was significantly higher than 67.7% of control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in BUN,UCr,SCr and 24 h UPE between 2 groups before treatment (P>0.05);those indexes of 2 groups decreased significantly after treatment, and the observation group were lower than the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in the incidence of ADR between 2 groups (P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS:Mailuoning injection combined with benazepril is effective for chronic glo-merulonephritis,and can effectively improve renal function with good safety.

Aim To investigate the effect of SA on induction of ERK1/2 activity in rat pulmonary smooth muscle cells(PASMCs).Methods Western blot analysis was employed to identify the activation of ERK1/2 stimulated by SA at different time points and concentrations in cultured rat PASMCs.Results An unexpected observation showed that ERK1/2 phosphorylation was seen after treatment of SA for 2h at a high concentration(30 ?mol?L-1) but not at lower concentration(from 1 nmol?L-1 to 1 ?mol?L-1).Activation of ERK1/2 pathway could be inhibited by an ERK1/2 inhibitor PD98059 or a protein kinase A(PKA) activator isoproterenol. Conclusion Together, these results suggest that SA has a strong dual regulating effect upon ERK1/2 through PKC and/or PKA pathways in rat PASMCs.
