Objective To study the relationship of apoptosis-related gene Survivin with Bcl-2,Bax protein in adenomyosis. Methods The expressions of Survivin,Bcl-2 and Bax protein were deteeted by immunohistochemical method(SP)in ectopic and eutopic endometrium of adenomyosis from 46 cases, and compared with that in eutopic endometrium from endometrium 30 cases without adenomyosis. Results The expression rate of Survivin protein in ectopic endometrium of adenomyosis was much higher than that in normal endometrial cells. The Survivin was positively corelated to Bcl-2,negatively to Bax.Conclusion Survivin may play an important role in pathogenesis of adenomyosis. With Survivin gene,apoptosis-related gene Bcl-2 may have a synergic role and Bax have an antagonistic role in the formation and progression of adenomyosis.

Objective:To evaluate the role of mitochondrial calcium homeostasis in hyperoxia-induced injury to alveolar epithelial cells typeⅡ(AECⅡ) in rats. Methods:Rat AECⅡcell lines (RLE-6TN) were randomly divided into 3 groups ( n=18 each) using a random number table method: nomoxia group (group C), hyperoxia group (group H), and hyperoxia plus ruthenium red group (group HR). The cell lines were cultured in a conventional incubator for 4 h in group C. The cell lines were incubated in an incubator with 90% O 2 for 4 h in group H. In group HR, ruthenium red 2 μmol/L was added first, and then the cell lines were incubated in an incubator with 90% O 2 for 4 h. After the treatment, the Ca 2+ concentrations in mitochondria were measured using the mitochondrial Ca 2+ specific fluorescent probe Rhod-2-AM, the ROS level was measured using the fluorescent probe DCFH-DA, and the cell morphology and mitochondrial ultrastructure were observed. Results:Compared with group C, the Ca 2+ concentrations in mitochondria and ROS level were significantly increased in H and HR groups ( P<0.05). Compared with group H, the Ca 2+ concentrations in mitochondria and ROS level were significantly decreased in group HR ( P<0.05). Compared group C, the cell volume was reduced, the morphology was shrunken round, the cell arrangement was loose, the mitochondrial double-layer membrane structure was broken, and the mitochondrial cristal fragments were observed in group H. Compared with group H, the cell morphology was significantly improved, and the slight damage to mitochondrial double-layer membrane structure was found, and the structure of mitochondrial cristae was normal in group HR. Conclusion:Mitochondrial calcium homeostasis is involved in the pathophysiological process of hyperoxia-induced injury to AECⅡ in rats.

Objective To investigate the suicide related psychological status of cancer patients in hospital. Methods 508 cancer patients in the Affiliated- Tumor- Hospital- of- Guangxi- Medical- University were recruited and using the hospital anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) and Beck Hopelessness Scale (BHS) for evaluating cancer patients′anxiety, depression, hopelessness. According to age, the patients were divided into three groups, comparing the differences in three groups′scores of anxiety, depression, hopelessness. Results Of all the respondents, there were 38.7% (172/445) patients with anxiety, and 26.3% (117/445) patients with depression, and 59.1% (263/445) patients with different degrees of hopelessness. In the comparison of three groups of patients, anxiety scores existed differences (U=7.083,P < 0.05), the average score of anxiety in patients below 40 years was 6.84±3.73, 40-49 years old patients with anxiety average score was 7.17±3.75, 50-60 years old patients with anxiety average score was 6.14±3.79. But depression scores and despair scores had no statistic difference among the three groups(U=2.417 and 0.166, P > 0.05). Conclusions Many people have anxiety / depression in cancer patients, most cancer patients have varying degrees of hopelessness. The health care workers should get attention to these suicide related psychology, take appropriate intervention, in order to avoid the occurrence of hospitalized cancer patients committing suicide.

ObjectiveTo investigate the correlation between ineffective esophageal motility (IEM)and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).MethodsA total of 90 GERD patients were enrolled in our study, including 62 patients with reflux esophagitis (RE) and 28 with non-erosive reflux disease (NERD).All the patients underwent gastroscopy,24-hour esophageal pH monitoring and esophageal manometry.ResultsIn the RE group 30 (48.4%) patients were diagnosed as having IEM,which was significantly higher than the NERD group (6 patients,21.4% ) (P<0.05).Positive esophageal acid exposure was more often seen in patients with IEM than in those with normal esophageal motility (91.7% v.s.57.2%,P <0.01 ).The values of total percentage of time with pH <4,percentage of reflux time in supine position,long-duration episodes ( >5 min) and the longest reflux time and DeMeester score were significantly higher in the IEM cases than those in the normal esophageal motility cases ( P < 0.01 ),so was the values of number of reflux episodes (P < 0.05).ConclusionIEM is the most common esophageal dysmotility in patients with GERD and closely related to distal esophageal acid exposure and RE.

Objective To screened out items with large proportion of technical analysis in obstetrics and gynecology physical examination by using statistical parameters Kappa index and to evaluate effect and clinical significance of Kappa index based on objective data and students' and teachers' subjective feeling. Methods We made Kappa index screening with double-blind method and established the Kappa index table for teachers and students.Students were randomly divided into conventional teaching group (n =26) and teaching reform group (n =29).Students in conventional teaching group traditionally followed the teacher to carry on the practice while those in teaching reform group received training according to the numerical value index and had examination after training. We paid attention to each student's weak points, provided personalized guidance and communicated with students actively. Results We found that it was uneasy for beginners to quickly grasp four step obstetrics palpation in-spection according to Kappa index. There were statistical differences in operation of gynecological physical examination between two groups (P =0.016).Conclusions Application of Kappa index can help us screen out skills in the operation suitable for training for eight-year program medical students. With quantitative evaluation,we can improve quality of clinical practice teaching in department of obstetrics and gynecology and guide educational reform.

Objective To investigate the influence of IVIG on immunologic function and cytokines levels in children with EV71 infection associated high-risk pulmonary hemorrhage. Methods According to the inclu-sion criteria , 64 children were enrolled and randomly divided into two groups: 39 cases in the IVIG treatment group and 25 cases in the general treatment group. The alternations of blood and immune cytokine markers before and after treatment were detected in the patients. Results (1) Before treatment, the peripheral blood T cells, TH and B cells in the IVIG group were higher than those in the general group , but the peripheral blood IgA was lower than that in the general group(P < 0.05); (2) In the IVIG group, the NK cells and IgG increased and T cells, TH cell and B cells significantly decreased after receiving IVIG therapy (P < 0.05); (3)No significant difference was observed in the levels of IL-6 and IL-10 in the two treatment groups before treatment. However , after IVIG treatment, IL-6 and IFN-γ levels reduced, IL-10 level increased (P < 0.05). After the general treat-ment, no significant difference was found in levels of IL-6,IL-10 and IFN-γ in peripheral blood (P > 0.05). Conclusion Disorders of cellular immunity and humoral immunity appeared in children with EV71 infection-re-lated high-risk pulmonary hemorrhage. It has clinical value to use IVIG timely to regulate the immune disorder.
