Objective To investigate effective methodology for preventing infectious diseases from spreading within general hospitals at all levels. Methods Six hospitals at three levels in the city were made into two groups and investigated for their treatment of infectious diseases. The group of A1, A2 and A3 hospitals employs the five pre-triage, while the group of B2, B2 and B3 employs the routine pretriage. Results Comparison of undetected infectious cases between group A1, A2, A3 and group B1,B2,B3 identified significant difference with x2 testing, P<0. 005. Conclusion Five pre-triage method can screen, identify and pinpoint confirmed or suspected infectious disease patients from all outpatients in the first time, thus preventing and controlling the nosocornial transmission of epidemic or even an outbreak of nosocomial infection effectively.

Objective To explore the present situation of perceived organizational support ( POS) and its influencing factors among nurses from all-level general hospitals in Tai ’ an city, in order to provide hospital administrators with a basis for the implementation of scientific management among nurses .Methods A total of 1 000 nurses from all-level general hospitals in Tai ’ an city were investigated with POS scale .The data collected was analyzed with the SPSS 17 .0 software program , and descriptive analysis method was used to analyze POS , which was expressed as the mean ±standard deviation ( x-±s) .Analysis of variance was applied to compare the POS scores among nurses with different demographic information , and stepwise multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the relationship between the demographic information and POS .P-value less than 0.05 was considered statistically significant .Results A total of 1 000 questionnaires were handed out and 982 effective questionnaires were recovered ,with the rate of 98.2%.The mean score of POS was 3.40 by the descriptive analysis.Significant differences were found in the POS scores among nurses from hospitals with different levels , and with different work years, different titles, and different educational levels by the F analysis (F=151.451, 12.132, 195.223,14.811, respectively;P <0.01).Stepwise multiple regression analysis showed that two dimensions of POS , namely affective support and instrumental support , were related to the hospital levels , work years, titles and education levels (P<0.05).Conclusions Hospital level has a significant influence on the POS of nurses.Hospital administrators should pay attention to the affective support of nurses , which is beneficial to the nurse team stability and promote the hospital to achieve the organization goals .
