OBJECTIVE To evaluate the methods of improving the air quality in the outpatient departmant area.METHODS The amount of outpatients in different time periods in the morning were calculated in the specialist consulting area;the bacteria in the air collected from the clinic room were collected and cultured in general nutrition agar medium and compared the efficacy for the improvement of air quality between the new and the old methods.RESULTS The air quality of the specialist consulting area was improved significantly through the ventilation and cleaning-floors depending on the amount of outpatients(P
2.Knowledge about Prevention and Vaccination Against Hepatitis B among 349 Vaccine Recipients

OBJECTIVE To survey the knowledge about the prevention by hepatitis B vaccination among vaccine recipients and inquiry persons,and formulate the measure of health education on prevention of HBV. METHODS 349 cases of hepatitis vaccines and inquiry persons in infirmary from Oct 2006 to Feb 2008 were selected,and making questionaire investigation for the understanding of HBV infection. RESULTS The initiative consciousness of prevention to HBV was manily focused on young people. The 20 to 40 years old people were 81%,3% below 20 years and 16% over 40 years among the investegatees. The correct rate of cognition was 36.4%. CONCLUSIONS To propagandize the knowledge about HBV and make the people to understanding the HVB,and increase the consciousness for prevention. To reduce the mistake cognition for HBV infection and encourage the high-risk people to receive the hepatitis vaccination.
3.ACUTE AND LATE SIDE-EFFECTS OF AUTOLOGOUS PERIPHERAL BLOOD STEM CELL TRANSPLANTATION IN PEDIATRIC PATIENTS

To investigate the acute and late side effects of autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplantation (Auto PBSCT) in children. Acute toxicity was evaluated in 21cases, according to Beurmen criteria. 11 patients who lived longer than 3 years after Auto PBSCT were followed up. Acute toxicity was mild. Growth and neuropsychological development were normal. Two children developed slight compensated hypothyroidism. Puberty was delayed in one male patient. Mild cataract was noticed in six children. Seven patients were found to suffer from hepatitis. The results suggested that pediatric patients were able to tolerate an appropriate pre conditioning regimen. Attention shoud be paid to the prevention of hepatitis.
4.Expression of endothelial differemtiation gene receptors in human pancreatic cancer

ObjectiveTo evaluate the expression of endothelial differentiation gene/lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) receptors (Edg/LPA) and its clinical significance in human pancreatic cancer.MethodsFifty cases of pancreatic cancer and adjacent normal tissues were collected,and Real-time PCR,Western blot and immunohistochemistry was used to determine the expression of Edg-2/LPA1,Edg-4/LPA2 and Edg-7/LPA3 receptors mRNA and protein,and its relationship with clinicopathological parameters was analyzed.Results The expressions of Edg-2/LPA1,Edg-4/LPA2,Edg-7/LPA3 receptor mRNA were (0.142 ± 0.042 ) %,(0.471 ±0.064)%,(0.231 ±0.043)% in pancreatic cancer,and the corresponding values were (0.132 ±0.029)%,(0.027 ±0.015)%,(0.163 ±0.046)% in adjacent normal tissues.The expressions of Edg-4/LPA2 receptor mRNA in pancreatic cancer were significantly lower than that in adjacent normal tissues ( P <0.05 ).The expressions of Edg-4/LPA2 receptor protein in pancreatic cancer were significantly lower than that in adjacent normal tissues ( P < 0.05 ).The expressions of three types of Edg /LPA receptor mRNA in pancreatic cancer were parallel to serum CA19-9 levels.The expressions of Edg-4/LPA2 receptor mRNA were associated with tumor size,differentiation degree,and invasive ability and metastasis.While the expressions of Edg-2/LPA1,Edg-7/LPA3 receptor mRNA was associated with invasive ability and metastasis only.ConclusionsEdg-4/LPA2 receptor is highly expressed in pancreatic cancer,which suggesting the malignant biological behavior of pancreatic cancer.
