Transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) was the preferred method of non-operation treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).Radical resection of HCC remains difficult, extrahepatic metastasis was not easy to deal with, and repeated treatment aggravated the liver injury,so the long-term efficacy was poor.Sorafenib could control tumor angiogenesis and block the proliferation of tumor cells.A male patient with primary HCC and in the stage Ⅱb according to the Chinese clinical liver cancer staging system was treated by TACE combined with sorafenib and antiviral treatment in Henan Cancer Hospital. After the treatment, the intrahepatic lesions were inactive, and the pulmonary metastasis was partially relieved. The patient was followed up till May 2012,and the survival time was 39 months. The hepatic function was normal, and the hepatitis B virus (HBV) replication was negative. No intervention treatmentrelated complications were detected, and the KPS score was 100.

Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy between preparation porcelain veneer(PPV)and no-preparation porcelain veneer(NPPV).Methods:44 patients with 97 PPVs and 23 patients with 57 NPPVs were followed up for 3 years.Mental tension, postoperative dentin sensitivity and satisfaction of the patients, survival rate of the veneers, sulcus bleeding index(SBI)of preopera-tive and postoperative 3 years were evaluated.A comparative analysis was taken to examine the clinical indicators of 2 groups accord-ing to the modified CDA /Ryge criteria. Results:Survival rates of PPVs and NPPVs were 96.91 % and 96.49%(P >0.05),satisfac-tion rates of the 2 group patients were 95.45% and 95.65%(P >0.05),respectively.Mental tension and the postoperative dentin sensitivity of patients in PPV group was higher than those in NPPV group.Preoperative and postoperative SBI were not statistically dif-ferent between the 2 groups(P >0.05).Marginal adaptation in PPV group was better than that in NPPV group.Color matching, Porcelain surface and Marginal stain were not statistically different between 2 groups. Conclusion:Preparation porcelain veneers and no-preparation porcelain veneers both are effective in clinical application.

Objective To investigate the conventional MRI and perfusion weighted imaging (PWI) features of central neurocytoma(CNC), and to evaluate the potentiality of them in diagnosing accuracy. Methods Three patients with CNC proved pathologically were collected, 4 patients with ependymoma were as control group, with conventional MRI and perfusion weighted imaging were performed in all of them. MRI features were observed, and relative regional cerebral blood volume (rrCBV) were calculated. Results CNCs were isosignal on T_1WI, hyperintense on T_2WI, minimal enhancment. Ependymomas were hypointense or isosignal on T_1WI, slightly hyperintense or hyperintense on T_2WI and minimal enhancement. On PWI, CNCs were obviously high-perfusion, rrCBV was 11.2, but which was 2.1 in ependymoma, there was statistically signifcant difference between two groups(P

Objective To investigate the value of MR perfusion weighted imaging(PWI) features in typing meningioma preoperation. Methods MR perfusion weighted imaging was performed on 39 patients with pathologically proved meningioma. The relative regionalcerebral blood volume(rrCBV) and relative mean transit time(rMTT) were calculated. Results The rrCBV and rMTT of angioblastic meningiomas were 11.8 and 1.8,which were higher than that of the others subtype. The rrCBV of meningothelial meningiomas andtransitional meningiomas were 8.3,7.5 respectively, the rMTT of them were 1.5 and 1.3,there was statistically significant difference in rMTT between two groups, but no difference in rrCBV.The rrCBV of fibrous meningiomas was 4.0,which was lower than that of the others. Conclusion PWI is very useful in typing meninigioma preoperation.

Objective To assess the influence of allergic rhinitis(AR)on the quality of life and anxiety and depression symptoms in the elderly. Methods Retrospective analysis of elderly patients with AR treated at our hospital from January 2015 to October 2016 was conducted on quality of life and anxiety and depression symptoms. The participants were investigated using the rhino-conjunctivitis quality of life questionnaire(RQLQ),self-rating depression scale(SDS)and self rating anxiety scale (SAS).The correlation between SDS,SAS and RQLQ was also analyzed. Results RQLQ scores of AR patients in 7 demensions were higher than those of healthy individuals (P< 0.05 for all). The scores of SAS(44.8±10.1 vs.40.7±4.9)and SDS(46.7 ±12.2 vs.41.3±4.8)in AR patients were also higher than in healthy individuals (F =21.59 and 26.63,respectively,each P< 0.01).Furthermore,anxiety and depression symptoms were significantly associated with seven RQLQ dimensions. Conclusions Compared with healthy individuals, elderly patients with AR has poor quality of life, which is further negatively impacted by increased anxiety and depressive symptoms.Appropriate intervention measures should be taken to alleviate anxiety and depressive symptoms and enhance quality of life for elderly patients with AR.

Objective To investigate the expressions of estrogen receptor (ER) and progesterone receptor (PR) subtypes in human endometrial carcinoma tissues. Methods Thirty samples of normal endometrial tissue and 66 endometrial carcinomas were investigated using western blot assays and reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction. Results (1)Both ER? and ER? mRNA were significantly increased in endometrial carcinoma compared with that in normal endometrium tissues. The relative value of ER? and ER? mRNA in endometrial carcinoma was 8.00?7.77, 3.84?2.57 and that in normal endometrium tissues was 4.15?3.55, 0.41?0.29, respectively. (2) Decreased levels of PR, PRA, PRB protein and PR mRNA were associated with endometrium carcinogenesis (P

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2006;0(09):-
As a novel research tool in the field of the spinal biomechanics, the finite element method (FEM) complements and verifies the traditional research methods, which has been attached increasingly greater importance. In this paper, we briefly introduce the achievement made in the field of spinal biomechanics by FEM in the past decade, summarize the physiological and pathological behaviors of various spinal anatomical parts described by FEM, and present the basic view of using FEM to optimize the surgery instrument design.
