Cheng's recognition on the etiology and pathogenesis of DOR,together with his dialectical way of thinking, combined therapy of Chinese and western medicine ,and empirical prescriptions. [Result] Pro. Cheng believes that this disease lies in the kidneys as wel as in the thoroughfare and conception meridian ,the pathogenesis is kidney deficiency and the imbalance of the thoroughfare and conception meridian,or combined with the stagnation of liver qi,spleen deficiency, and blood stasis and phlegm fire (heat); the therapy is mainly nourishing and warming kidneys as wel as conditioning the thoroughfare and conception meridian ,combined with Chinese medicine's periodical therapy, such as adjusting the circulation of qi and blood in livers, spleens, hearts and other organs. [Conclusions] Pro. Cheng's combined therapy of Chinese and western medicine for curing DOR ,of which his empirical prescriptions the Bushenyichongkangshuaitang is the main part,is of remarkable curative effect and significant clinical value.
5.Application of Fast-Track Surgery and Laparoscopy in Treatment for Colorectal Cancer
Chinese Journal of Bases and Clinics in General Surgery 2003;0(05):-
Objective To explore the variation about the application of fast-track surgery and laparoscopy in treatment for colorectal cancer in recent years. To investigate the probability of combining protocols of the two for treatment for colorectal cancer. Methods The clinical and basic literatures of related researches about colorectal treatment of laparoscopy and fast-track surgery were collected and reviewed. Results Compared with the traditional treatment modalities, both of fast-track surgery and laparoscopy used for the treatment of colorectal cancer have better clinical effects. Conclusions Fast-track surgery and laparoscopic techniques used for the treatment of colorectal cancer are feasible, but the combination of the two should be confirmed by further randomized controlled trials.

Laryngeal interarytenoid neurilemmomas (LIN) is a benign encapsulated tumor originating from the schwann cells lining nerve fibers. Even though LINs are extremely rare in incidence, they could present with potential threat to the airway and thus requiring prompt diagnosis and treatment. Here, we report two cases of LINs. Both patients underwent excision of the tumor via microlaryngeal endoscopic procedures and recovered well postoperatively without complications. No recurrence was observed postoperatively on routine follow-up after 14 months.

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(medical Science) 2010;30(2):196-199
Objective To investigate the effect of ketamine on learning and memory function of adult rats after injection of ketamine at early development stage. Methods Twelve rats born in a week were randomly divided into ketamine anesthesia group(Ket group)and normal saline control group(Ns group).Rats in Ket group were intraperitoneally injected with 50 mg/kg ketamine, and those in Ns group were administrated with same amount of normal saline. After eight weeks,Morris water maze test was adopted to explore the latency in place navigation and spatial probe ability. The sections of hippocampus were obtained, and immunohistochemical staining was employed to detect the expression of Bax and Bcl-2.Results In Morris water maze test, the latency in place navigation of Ket group Was significantly longer than that of Ns group(P<0.05),and the spatial probe ability significantly decreased(P<0.05).It Was revealed by immunohistochemical staining that the expression of Bax in Ket group was significantly higher than that in Ns group, while there was no significant difference in the expression of Bcl-2 between these two groups. Conclusion Application of ketamine in neonatal rats may result in learning and memory impairment in adulthood, and the underlying mechanism may correlate to the apoptosis of neuron in hippocampus region.
