2.Application of contrast-enhanced ultrasound in biopsy of liver occupying lesions
Chinese Journal of Interventional Imaging and Therapy 2010;7(2):174-176
Objective To evaluate clinical utility of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) in percutaneous liver biopsy of liver occupying lesions. Methods According to intralesional microperfusion situation observed with CEUS,31 of 32 patients with liver occupying lesions underwent liver biopsy under the guidance of conventional ultrasound.Acquirement of adequate quantity of specimen for pathological examination was successfully achieved. Results Of 32 patients with liver occupying lesions, conventional ultrasound indicated intralesional necrosis and liquefaction in 3 patients, while CEUS indicated necrosis and liquefaction in 10 and multiple occupying lesions in 4 patients,of which 1 of the 2 lesions of 1 patient showed a rapid wash-in and washout of a focal contrast agent, the other lesion of the same patient showed synchronized enhancement with liver in all the three phases, and the remaining 3 patients showed rapid wash-in and washout.Of 6 patients conventional ultrasound indicated no blood flow,CEUS showed varying enhancement in 5 patients and no enhancement during all the three phases in 1 patient considered as focal nodular necrosis and did not undergo biopsy. All the 31 patients with liver occupying lesions underwent biopsy in the enhanced area in the arterial phase of CEUS.On the average, each patient was punctured for 2.13 times (66/31) .The successful rate of biopsy was 100% (31/31) .The confirmation rate was 96.80% (30/31) .Conclusion reflecting the situation of microperfusion sensitively, distinguishing necrosis and liquefaction accurately, determining benign or malignant initially and guiding to puncture accurately,CEUS is of grest clinical importance in biopsy of liver occupying lesions.

Osteosarcoma is the most common maligant in skeletal system. Its treatment is always the focus of most clinical research workers. This article is a brief overview of the research progress of the therapy for osteosarcoma. In addition to neoadjuvant chemotherapy, surgical treatment, this article also includes molecular targeted therapy, gene therapy, and immune therapy. These new advances will contribute to the clinical work.
7.STUDIES ON THE EFFECTIVE COMPONENTS IN PROTECTIVE SEKA AGAINST PLASMODIUM YOELII INFECTIONS IN MICE
Chinese Journal of Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases 1987;0(02):-
Sera were collccted from mice immunized separately with schizonts, merozoitcs or different parasite stages, or from mice which had been recovered from Plasmodium yoelii yoelii infection. The effect of protection of cach serum against P. y. infection was assayed by passivc transfer technique. It was shown that only sera collected from mice which either had been trcated with chloroquine or had been naturally recovcred from P. y. infections can transfer certain dcgree of resistance to normal mice. The cffectivc sera delayed the appearance and the peak of parasitemia, and prolonged the survival time of the challenged mice. After these sera were fractionatcd by 50%(NH4)2SO4 precipitation, the prccipitated fraction showed similar degree of protection as the non-fractionated sera. Chloroquine-treated serum was shown to be able to inhibit the invasion of new erythrocytes by marozoite in vitro. 35S-methionine-labelcd antigens were precipitated by protective or non-protective sera and the bands were compared on SDS-PAGE and autoradiogram. Since thc antigcn bands of 245, 210, 190, 156 and 130 KD can only bc precipitated by protective sera but not by non-protectivc sera, it is possible that the protection of chloroquine-treated serum is induced by the specific antibodies against the above antigens.
8.Protective effects of curcumin on myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury in rats
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2003;0(10):-
Aim To study the protective effects of curcumin on myocardial reperfusion injury in rats. Methods Myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury model was established through occluding the left anterior descending branch of coronary artery for 60 min and removing the ligation later to reperfuse for 30 min in vivo.Different doses of curcumin were administered through intravenous injection 5 min before the onset of ischemia. The changes of hemodynamics were recorded and myocardial infarct sizes were measured. Results Curcumin(20,40 mg?kg~(-1))improved the hemodynamics during myocardial ischemia reperfusion in a dose-dependent manner,as shown by the significant increase in LVSP and?dp/dt_(max) and the decrease in LVEP.Moreover, curcumin reduced the myocardial infarct sizes. Conclusion Curcumin exerts protective effects on myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury.

10.Study on the Interaction between Cefprozil and Bovine Serum Albumin by Spectrometry
China Pharmacy 2015;26(31):4360-4363
OBJECTIVE:To study the interaction of cefprozil (CE) with bovine serum albumine (BSA). METHODS:Under the temperatures of 289,299 and 309 K,the interaction of CE with BSA for 50 min had been studied by fluorescence quenching, UV spectrometry and synchronous fluorescence spectroscopy. Quenching constant(KSV)and speed constant(Kq)were calculated by Stern-Volmer equation. Static quenching constant(KLB)was obtained by Lineweaver-Burk equation, and UV spectrogram was used to determine the type of quenching. Double logarithmic equation was used to calculate the binding constants (Kb) and the number of binding site(n). Thermodynamic equation was used to obtain ΔH,ΔS,ΔG. Hill's coefficients(nH)was obtained by Hill equa-tion. RESULTS:At three different temperatures, with CE concentration increasing, fluorescence intensity of BSA decreased regular-ly. The value of KSV,Kq,KLB,Kb and n and nH decreased with the temperature increasing. ΔH,ΔS and ΔG were lower than 0. The numbers of binding sites were approximately equal to 1 and nH<1. CONCLUSIONS:CE statically quench the fluorescence of BSA,and the binding of them have been found to certain extent. The process of binding is spontaneous exothermic process. The main binding forces include Hydrogen bonds and Van der Waals forces, and primary binding site for CE is located at sub-domain ⅡA of BSA. There was some negative cooperative effect. CE would not affect the conformation of BSA. The binding site of CE and BSA is near by tyrosine residue.
