1.Research progress of patient-derived xenograft model

Tumor cell line culture technologies emerged as a strong impetus to the development of tumor biology research.However,cell line tumor model presented limited predictive value and instable properties in the clinical translational research of new cancer therapies.Recently Patient-derived Xenograft Model (PDX) has aroused researcher's attention and been widely applied to new cancer therapy research.This new model could highly retain the stroma heterogeneity、histological characteristics and molecular diversity of the original tumor,and is expected to bring new breakthroughs in individualized treatment of tumor patients.
2.Determination of Cinnamic Aldehyde Content in Xianggui Huazhuo Capsules by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry

Objective To establish a method for determining cinnamic aldehyde content in Xianggui Huazhuo capsules by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Methods The content of cinnamic aldehyde was determined by GC-MS. Separation was performed on a capillary column (30 m×0. 25 mm, 0. 25 μm) with HP-5 as the stationary phase. A programmed temperature was employed. The flow rate was 1 mL·min-1 with He as carrier gas, and split ratio was 50∶1. The injection volume was 1. 0 μL. Results The cinnamic aldehyde was well isolated from the other ingredients. A good linear relationships of cin-namic aldehyde in range of 0. 02-4. 00 mg·mL-1 was observed. The correlation coefficient was 0. 999 4. The average recovery of cinnamic aldehyde was 96. 2% , and RSD was less than 2. 11% . Conclusion The method is simple, accurate and suitable for determination of cinnamic aldehyde content.
3.Research Progress in Pharmacological Effects and Clinical Application of Pine Pollen

Pine pollen is a kind of Chinese materia medica with the homology of medicine and food, rich in a variety of nutrients and bioactive ingredients. It has the efficacy of hemostasis by convergence and eliminating dampness and astringing sores. Research showed that pine pollen is able to protect certain organs, regulate metabolism, enhance immunity and resist antioxidation and aging. This article reviewed pine pollen related research from the aspects of main components, pharmacological effects and clinical application, in order to provide references for further study and development and utilization.
4.Diagnosis and microsurgery of acute spontaneous spinal epidural hematoma

Objective To investigate the diagnosis and the effect of microsurgery in patients with acute spontaneous spinal epidural hematoma (ASSEH). Method Five patients with ASSEH treated with microsurgery and confirmed pathologically were retrospectively analyzed. Results The main clinical presentations were root pain and palsy. The main manifestations of MRI were long-segment epidural lesion of high intensity in T1 and T2-weighted images without enhancement. With the microsurgery system, laminectomy via posterior approach and hematoma removal were successfully undergone with full recovery in all cases. Conclusions MRI assisted with the main clinical symptoms may aid preoperative diagnosis in symptomatic ASSEH. Microsurgery is an effective method for treating ASSEH. Postoperative (rather than preoperative) spinal DSA is advantageous for exclusion of spinal vascular malformation in treating ASSEH.
5.Expression of decoy receptor 3 in pancreatic cancer tissue and its clinical significance

Objective To detect the expressions of decoy receptor 3 (DcR3) in pancreatic cancer tissues and to analyze the significance of DcR3 in the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of patients with pancreatic cancer.Methods The expressions of DcR3 in pancreatic cancer tissues (n =100), paracancer tissues (n =15) and normal tissues (n =15) were detected with immunohistochemical method (Envision method).Results The positive rate of DcR3 in pancreatic cancer tissues was significantly higher than that in adjacent-tumor pancreatic cancer tissues (86.0% vs.46.6%, P < 0.05).The positive rate of DcR3 in adjacent-tumor pancreatic cancer tissues was significantly higher than that in normal tissues (46.6% vs.13.3%, P < 0.05).In clinical stage Ⅲ, the positive rate of DcR3 was significantly higher than that in stage Ⅱ and stage Ⅰ (100% vs.87.0%, P<0.05;100% vs.62.5%, P<0.05).There were significant differences among the three groups (P < 0.05).With lymph node metastasis, the DcR3 positive rate was significantly higher than that in the group without lymph node metastasis (93.4% vs.79.6%, P < 0.05).In poorly differentiated pancreatic cancer, the positive rate of DcR3 was significantly higher than that in the highly differentiated group (100% vs.64.0%, P <0.05), the positive rate of DcR3 was significantly higher in the moderately differentiated group than that in the highly differentiated group (88.6% vs.64.0%, P < 0.05) , There were significant differences among the three groups (P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in the positive rate of DcR3 between the different age groups or the different gender groups (P > 0.05).Conclusions The expression levels of DcR3 in patients with pancreatic cancer gradually increased from normal tissues to paracancer tissues, to pancreas tissues.The expression level of DcR3 protein was closely related to clinical stage, degree of tissue differentiation and presence of lymph node metastasis, but not associated with age, sex, and tumor diameter size.
6.Determination of 2?-hydroxy-ursolic acid from Herba Rabdosiae Serrae in various collecting periods

Object To supply the basis for the optimal collecting period for Herba Rabdosiae Serrae (HRS). To lay down relevant Standard Operating practice (SOP) in accordance with GAP of Chinese medicinal materials and put them into practice with providing basic researching data. Methods To determine the contents of 2?-hydroxy-ursolic acid in HRS by various collecting periods (cultured under GAP) by RP-HPLC. Chromatographic conditions: Kromasil RP-C_ 18 (250 mm ? 4.6 mm,5 ?m) column;the mobile phase was acetonitrile-0.05% trifluoro-acetic acid solution (70.5∶29.5);the velocity of flow was 0.8 mL/min;column temperature was 25 ℃;and the detection wavelength was at 210 nm. Results In various collecting periods,contents of 2?-hydroxy-ursolic acid in HRS are the highest in the collection of earlier flower of Rabdosia Lophanthoides var. gerardianus (Beutham) H. Hara in August. Conclusion It suggests that HRS be gathered in the leaves luxuriance before blooming.
7.Utilization and effects of informatization in perfecting community health service mode

Objective: To explore the utilization and effects of informatization in perfecting the community health service mode. Method:Through purposive sampling, 12 community health service centers in Beijing, Shang-hai, Chengdu, and Zhengzhou were selected for site investigation. The heads of the health administrative department and community health service centers were interviewed, with a focus on the construction and utilization of the local community health informatization and a discussion of the role of informatization in perfecting the community health service mode. Results:The information systems can be divided into core systems, core auxiliary systems, and periph-eral support systems. Informatization provides strong support to perfecting the community health service mode in opti-mizing the service process, improving work efficiency, strengthening institutional cooperation, promoting quality regu-lation, optimizing performance appraisal, and strengthening doctor-patient interaction. Conclusion: Informatization plays a key role in perfecting the community health service mode. Recommendations were proposed to strengthen community health informatization construction and utilization:optimizing service processes, promoting the efficient co-ordination of safe health services, optimizing performance appraisals, and strengthening doctor-patient interaction.
8.Analysis on guarantee mechanisms related to the improvement of community health service modes

Objective:To analyze the concerning guarantee mechanisms during the transformation of the com-munity health service mode. Method:Purposive sampling was adopted. Twelve community health service centers in Beijing, Shanghai, Zhengzhou, and Chengdu, where the transformation of the community health service mode was pi-loted earlier and representative, were selected as the field survey sites. The qualitative method was used to collect da-ta accompanied by the quantitative method. Results: The guarantee mechanisms related to the transformation of the community health service mode could be concluded into four main types:collaboration mechanism, health profession-al training mechanism, incentive mechanism, and policy guarantee mechanism. All of the four mechanisms contribu-ted to the improvement of general teamwork, dual referral systems, and the development of contract and appointment services. Conclusion:During the transformation of the community health service mode, priority strategies include top-down design, health professional training mechanisms, and performance-based incentive mechanism, all of which should be implemented in the future.
9.Analysis on general practice teams in community health service centers

Objective:To analyze the structure modes of general practice teams in community health care cen-ters in order to provide empirical evidence for the transformation of the community health service mode. Method:Pur-posive sampling was adopted. Twelve community health service centers in Beijing, Shanghai, Zhengzhou and Cheng-du, where the transformation of the community health service mode was piloted earlier and representative, were se-lected as the field survey sites. The qualitative method was used to collect the data accompanied by the quantitative method. Results:The structure models of general practice teams could be divided into four types:1) general practi-tioner+nurse+nurse assistant+pharmacist, 2) physician (general practitioner, herbalist physician) +nurse+com-munity volunteers, 3 ) physician ( general practitioner/herbalist physician ) +nurse +assistant +community volun-teers, and 4) general practitioner+nurse+assisting team (professionals of public health and maternal care, etc) +supportive team ( pharmacists, health technician, etc) . Conclusion:The paper verified the common sense conclusion that general practitioners should play an essential role in general practice teamwork. The four general practice team models analyzed above positively contributed to the improvement of efficiency and quality, the relationship between health professionals and patients, the promotion of community participation, and the combination between preventive care and clinical care.
10.Research Progress in Extraction, Purification and Bioactivities of Potentilla Anserine Polysaccharide

As a common Tibetan medicine, Potentilla anserine L. is a kind of important Chinese materia medica, which is mainly distributed in Gansu, Qinghai and Tibet Provinces. As the active constituent from Potentilla anserine L., potentilla anserine polysaccharide has received initial research by researchers in abroad and at home. It is suggested that potentilla anserine polysaccharide exhibits various functions including antioxidation, anti-aging, immunoregulation, inhibiting bacteria and anti-diabetic. This article reviewed the research on extraction, purification and bioactivities of potentilla anserine polysaccharide, which is expected to provide ideas for the further study and research and development.
