Objective To observe the correlation between mating days and pregnancy rate, the vaginal pessary number and the embryos number in female rats, for facilitating the whole planning of the relevant experiments. Methods 70 female Wistar rats were randomly mated with 20 male Wistar rats separately. Mating days and vaginal pessary were recorded. In late stage of the experiment, the number of pregnant rats and embryos were confirmed by post-mortem anatomy. Results Person correlation coefficient of the mating days and pregnancy rate in exhausting pessary rats was 0.83, P<0.05 (P=0.005); person correlation coefficient of the vaginal pessay number and the embryos was 0.16, P>0.05(P=0.18). Conclusion There was linearly dependent relationship between the mating days and pregnancy rate, the pregnancy rate of female rats become 100% when the mating days reached 4 days. But there was no such relationship between the vaginal pessary and the embryo number.

Objective:To analyze the distribution of UGT1A1 gene polymorphisms in Chinese Han patients with extensive-disease small cell lung cancer(ED-SCLC),and evaluate the correlation between UGT1A1 gene polymorphisms and toxicity and efficacy of irino-tecan(CPT-11) based regimen in the patients with ED-SCLC. Methods: The analysis of UGT1A1?28 and UGT1A1?6 gene poly-morphisms was performed in 67 patients with ED-SCLC admitted in our hospital from June 2011 to January 2013. The 67 cases with ED-SCLC treated with irinotecan(CPT-11) based regimen were enrolled to observe the adverse events and efficacy during the chemo-therapy, including objective responserate rate ( ORR) , progression free survival ( PFS) and overall survival ( OS) . The incidence of different genotypes was compared. Results:The distribution of UGT1A1 genotypes in the 67 patients was follows:UGT1A1?28 wild-type (WT) genotype TA6/6 (56, 83. 6%), heterozygous genotype TA6/7 (11, 16. 4%);UGT1A1?6 wild-type (WT) genotype G/G (45,67. 2%), heterozygous genotype G/A (22,32. 8%). No significant difference of PFS and OS was observed between the differ-ent genotypes. The incidence of grade 3 and 4 delayed diarrhea and neutropenia in the patients carrying UGT1A1?6 G/A was higher than that in those with WT genotype (36. 4% vs. 6. 6%, P<0. 05;27. 2% vs. 4. 4%, P<0. 05, respectively). The incidence of grade 3 and 4 thrombocytopenia in the patients carrying UGT1A1?28 TA6/7 was higher than that in those with WT genotype (27. 2%vs. 1. 8%, P<0. 05). The patients simultaneously carrying UGT1A1?28 TA6/7 and UGT1A1?6 G/A were prone to suffering 3 and 4 delayed diarrhea and neutropenia. Conclusion: UGT1A1 polymorphisms may predict the adverse events of CPT-11 in ED-SCLC, while can not predict the efficacy of CPT-11.

Microbiology 1992;0(03):-
In order to improve the metabolism yield of cordycepin and adenosine,we studied nitrogen sources ,the levels of nitrogen sources and carbon sources, dynamic development in liquid culture ,as well as the total yield of cordycepin and adenosine in culture system through determining the contents of cordycepin and adenosine by HPLC .The results are as follows: not only animal protein but also some plant protein is very good nitrogen sources; in culture solution the suitable levels of nitrogen sources and carbon sources is respectively 3% and 4%; the content of adenosine in culture solution is very low, while it is quite high in mycelia; it is much higher that the total yield of cordycepin in culture solution than in mycelia; when the culture system is oscillated and cultured after 7~9 days, the total yield of cordycepin and adenosine are both high.

The prevalence of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in China is increasing year by year, however, the efficacy and safety of commonly used therapeutic methods are limited.Granulocyte and monocyte adsorptive apheresis (GMA) is one of the effective methods for treatment of IBD used abroad, however, there is still lacking of such research in China.Aims: To investigate the efficacy and safety of GMA in IBD patients. Methods: A retrospective study was conducted in 21 cases of IBD patients [13 cases with ulcerative colitis (UC) and 8 with Crohn's disease (CD)] who accepted GMA treatment from May 2013 to July 2014 at the Shanghai Rui Jin Hospital. All the cases were poor responders to 5-aminosalycylic acid (5-ASA) or steroid-refractory.The clinical data were collected, and the clinical activity index (CAI), endoscopic activity index (EAI), laboratory parameters including serum albumin (Alb), hemoglobin (Hb), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), C-reactive protein (CRP), leukocyte count and percentage of neutrophils, as well as the adverse effects before and two weeks after the end of GMA treatment were analyzed. Results: After GMA treatment, both CAI and EAI were decreased significantly in UC and CD groups as compared with those before treatment (P all <0.05).Among laboratory parameters, Alb was increased in UC group and CRP was decreased in both UC and CD groups after treatment (P all <0.05).No significant differences were found in other laboratory parameters in both UC and CD groups before and after treatment (P all >0.05).The treatment was well tolerated with no severe adverse effects. Conclusions: GMA is safe and effective for ameliorating clinical symptoms, attenuating intestinal mucosal injury and controlling active inflammation in IBD patient that has not responded to 5-ASA or steroid treatment.Prospective clinical studies with large samples are needed to confirm these findings.
