Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2015;35(11):1137-1139
The characteristics and clinical application of the arrival of qi in suspended moxibustion was discussed in this paper. Through literature research and clinical practice, three aspects, including characteristics of arrival of qi in suspended moxibustion, the clinical basis regarding arrival of qi in suspended moxibustion improving therapeutic effects and how to acquire arrival of qi in suspended moxibustion, were discussed to clarify the essential role of arrival of qi in suspended moxibustion as well as its importance to the development of moxibustion medicine. The suspended moxibustion at acupoints could produce arrival of qi similar to acupuncture, which was characterized as non-local or non-superficial heat sensation such as penetrating heat, expanding heat, transmitting heat, even non-hot sensation such as aching, numbing, distending, painful, heavy, cold sensation in the applied region. It is heat-sensitive sensation phenomenon that can improve therapeutic effect in suspended moxibustion.

6.The Inhibitive Effect of Essential Fatty Acids on AFP Secretion and Cell Growth on BEL-7402 Human Hepatocellular Carcinoma Cell Line
Chinese Journal of Cancer Biotherapy 1996;0(04):-
In the present study, the influence of essential free fatty acids on AFP secretion and cell growth of BEL-7402 human hepatocellular cacinoma cell line was investigated by radiommunoassay. The results demonstrated that 40 - 50?g/ ml concentration of linolenic acid could inhibit the AFP secretion obviously( P 0.05) . All of these studies about anti-cancer effect of linolenic acid will provide the principle for the patient for health care and therapy.
7.Laparoscopic cholecystectomy versus open cholecystectomy: Clinical efficiency and costs analysis
Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2001;0(01):-
Objective To compare the costs and effectiveness between the laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) and the open cholecystectomy (OC). Methods Clinical data of 97 patients treated either by LC (n=41) or OC (n=56) were retrospectively reviewed. Results The hospital stay, postoperative hospital stay, hospitalization expenditure and medical incomes in Group LC and Group OC were (11.4?3.0) days and (15.1?4.2) days (t=-4.811,P=0.000), (6.1?0.9) days and (10.7?2.4) days (t=-11.673,P=0.000), (8 723.8?1 077.2) yuan and (6 423.4?1 398.4) yuan (t=8.791, P=0.000), (6 236.4?591.0) yuan and (3 426.6?683.2) yuan (t=21.162,P=0.000), respectively. There were no statistical significances between the two groups in preoperative hospital stays and occurrences of complications (t=1.684, P=0.095;?2=0.434,P=0.510). Conclusions Compared with the OC, health resources were more properly utilized but costs were higher in the LC.
8.Characteristics of the motor nerve conduction and F wave in patients with definite amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2003;0(07):-
Objective To characterize the changes of motor nerve conduction velocity (MCV) and F wave in patients with definite amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (DALS) as related to the duration and severity of the disease. Methods A total of 46 patients with DALS were recruited for the ALS group and 35 healthy adults for the control group. MCV and F wave were examined with median, ulnar, tibial and peroneal nerves in all the patients and compared with those in the controls. Results It was found that the distal motor latencies (DML) and MCV of the median, ulnar, tibial and peroneal profundus nerves in the ALS group were all significantly delayed as compared to those in the control group. The F wave occurrence frequency was lower, the central latencies as well as its side-to-side difference of the F wave in the 4 nerves were significantly longer in the ALS group than those in the control group. For those with more severe conditions, their central latencies of F wave and DML in the 4 nerves of ALS patients were significantly longer, and the MCV were significantly slower than those with milder conditions. A 3-year of follow-up of the patient revealed that there were progressive delay in DML and F wave central latencies, as well as a progressive decrease in MCV or CAMP amplitude. Conclusion The duration and severity of ALS has significant effects on the MCV and F wave of nerves in the upper and lower limbs. MCV and F wave can be used as valuable electrodiagnostic tools for DALS.
9.The Clinical Value of Measurement of Normal Fetal Aortic Isthmus Systolic Index with Prenatal Ultrasound
Journal of China Medical University 2015;(6):516-519
Objective To obtain the fatal aortic isthmic systolic index(ISI)with prenatal ultrasound, and to establish reference ranges for normal live fatal aortic isthmic systolic index(ISI). Methods A total of 251 normal fetuses at 18?37 gestation weeks were collected and underwent Dop?pler ultrasound examination to obtain the fatal aortic isthmus waveforms. Peak systolic velocity(PSV)and systolic nadir(NS)were measured on the waveforms. ISI was derived from the ratio NS/PSV,and its relationship with gestational weeks was analyzed. Results ISI value was between 0.19 and 0.21,from 18 to 24 gestational weeks. As the gestational weeks increasing,PSV increased;however,NS decreased gradually. At about 28 weeks,a brief end?systolic deceleration wave was observed on the aortic isthmus waveforms, and this trend led to ISI towards a mean value of zero at about 30 weeks. At the end of pregnancy,ISI was about-0.33. The curve equations were established regarding the gestational age as the independent variable X,PSV,NS and ISI as the dependent variable Y respectively. Y∧=-69.116+9.542X-0.139X2,R2=0.96,P<0.001;Y∧=-99.881+10.331X-0.232X2,R2=0.99,P<0.001;Y∧=-0.671+0.086X-0.02X2,R2=0.99,P<0.001. Conclusion Prenatal ultrasound can measure the fetal aortic isthmic systolic index, which is helpful in the diagnosis of fetal cardiovascular anomalies and evaluation of fetal intrauterine status.
10.Influence of disulfiram on the expression of transforming growth factor-?2 in form-deprived eyes in chicks
Journal of Peking University(Health Sciences) 2003;0(06):-
Objective:To explore the temporal expression of retinal-choroidal transforming growth factor-?2(TGF-?2) in form-deprived myopia(FDM) chick eyes and study the effect of an inhibitor(disulfiram,DSF) of retinoid acid(RA) synthesis on refractive development and the expression of TGF-?2.Methods:Ninety new hatched white leghorn chicks were divided randomly and equally into 3 groups:unilateral occluded with frosted goggles(Group A);unilateral intravitreal injection of 4 mmol of the non-specific aldehydedehydrogenase inhibitor disulfiram with further treatment with goggles(Group B);unilateral intravitreal injections of 4 mmol of disulfiram without further treatment with goggles(Group C).Refraction and axial length were measured on 1,7 and 14 days after treatment.Expression levels of TGF-?2 and TGF-?2 mRNA in the retinal-choroid layer were analyzed by immunohistochemistry and real-time RT-PCR.Results:In Group A,the form-deprived eyes made by goggles developed myopia(P0.05) with TGF-?2 mRNA level growing on day 7 and decreased on day 14 in group B and decreased on day 1,increased on days 7 and 14 in Group C(P
