Hypospadias repair is highly challenging especially for those severe or cripple variants.Correction via single stage or staged repair is controvercial whereas the controversies are with different content with advancement of hypospadiology.Here the authors introduce the contemporary concepts of staged repair for hypospadias.

Early diagnosis and timely treatment of hepatic steatosis is very important for controlling the development and improving the prog-nosis of disease.This paper introduces the controlled attenuation parameter (CAP),a novel non -invasive method to quantitatively assess hepatic steatosis.This paper briefly describes the advantages of CAP compared with other methods for detecting hepatic steatosis:CAP is simple,fast,repeatable,and generally accepted by patients.CAP is of great value for early detection of fatty liver.Moreover,this paper re-views the optimal cut -off values of CAP for detection of fatty liver in different studies.CAP can be used to dynamically monitor the progres-sion and regression of fatty liver as a guide to clinical treatment.

Colorectal cancer is one of the most commonly seen malignant tumors,and the metastatic colorectal cancer is of poor prognosis. The median overall survival for chemotherapy is only 1-1. 5 years. Recently,molecular targeted therapy targeting at vascular endothelial growth factor and epidermal growth factor receptor was used widely for metastatic colorectal cancer and becoming a hot spot of related researches. This article focused on the strategy and hypothesis of molecular targeted therapy for treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer.

Sixty cases of acute lumbar sprain were treated by puncturing Yintang(Ex-HN 3) toward Shenting(GV 24), among which, 50 cases were cured, 9 were improved and only one failed, and the total effective rate was 98.3%.

BACKGROUND:Domestic scholars use the potentiodynamic polarization technique to determine the corrosion potential of the dental aloys, which is used to evaluate the corrosion performance of the lownoble metal. They have discovered that the main reason affecting corrosion resistance is the content of noble metal. OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the corrosion resistance of Ti, Au aloy, Co-Cr aloy, Ti aloy, and Ni-Cr aloy. METHODS: Five aloys were immersed in synthetic saliva solution. The corrosion potential and corrosion current density of the aloys were determined with potentiadynamic polarization technique. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The galvanic series of five kinds of aloys were ranged as folows: Au aloy > pure Ti > Ti aloy > Co-Cr aloy > Ni-Cr aloy. Au aloy and pure Ti had more positive potential that were not easy to produce corrosion; Ti aloy and Co-Cr aloy could form stable oxidation film with a strong ability of anti-pitting and crevice corrosion; Ni-Cr aloy potential was more negative and easy to be dissolved. The corrosion current density of five kinds of aloys was ranged as folows: Au aloy < pure Ti < Ti aloy < Co-Cr aloy < Ni-Cr aloy. Au aloy and pure Ti had lowest current density which was 10-8, indicating that the corrosion rate of Au aloy and pure Ti was lower; in contrast, Ni-Cr aloy possessed the maximum corrosion rate. These findings indicate that Au aloy and pure Ti exhibit a very high corrosion resistance. The corrosion rate of Ni-Cr aloy is the highest; therefore, Ni-Cr aloy is the least acceptable material for implant suprastucture.

This article discusses the relevant factors which influence the assessment and diagnosis of personality disorder, especially the relationships between personality disorder and personality,personality disorder and the axis I conditions in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) system and its particularity of assessment. Such discussion helps to improve the clinical worker's comprehension to the psychopathology, personality disorder and their relationships.

Objective To explore different pathogenesis of chronic hepatitis B(CHB)and asymptomatic H BV carriers(ASCs)by identifying differentially expressed genes.Methods Subtracted library was constructed by suppression subtraetive hybridization(SSH),and α-defensin was identified by dot blot hybridization.Peripheral blood was collected from 46 CHB patients and 11 ASCs.and the expressions of α-defensin mRNA in peripheral blood mononuclear cell and protein in plasma were determined by the real time RT-PCR and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results Real time RT-PCR showed that the expression of α-defensin mRNA in blood samples of CHB was 1.4-fold higher than that of ASCs.As shown by ELISA,the plasma level of α-defensin in CHB was higher than that of ASCs [(216.40±81.25)μg/L vs.(156.00±57.26)μg/L,t=2.23,P<0.05].Conclusion α-defensin may involve in the pathogenesis of CHB,for it iS over-expressed in CHB patients.

Objective To explore the relationship between epilepsy and stroke,the features of secondary epilepsy and its treatment. Methods 233 stroke patients were observed and the clinical data of 21 patients who had secondary epilepsy were analyzed. Results Secondary epilepsy after stroke was mainly seen in the cortical stoke patients, the incidence of epilepsy of the cortical stroke group was 16.7% , which was significantly higher than that of the gubcortical stroke patients(5.7% ) ,and there was significant difference between the two groups. The incidence of epilepsy of stroke with a lesion >4cm group was 17. 3% .which was significantly higher than that of stroke with a lesion <4cm group(5.4% ), there was also significant difference between the two groups. There was no significant difference between ischeraic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke(P>0.05). Conclusion The incidence of secondary epilepsy after stroke had no correlations with the stroke types,but was related to the area and the location of the stroke.
